This helps a lot, working at a haunted house and this year I want to try to do all the makeup by myself (usually my dad who's done it for like 30+ years does the makeup) but trying to do it myself, sooo this helps tons. I'm stubborn and don't want to ask him lol, want to see if I can do it myself first.

You can use vaseline on your eyebrows and around your hairline and it won't stick, it's an absolute lifesaver when I do prosthetics on myself and others.

    • @laurenwimsett4976

Plus it allows you to get closer to your eyebrow, etc. For a more realistic look Xx

I just love watching this. It is an easy last minute costume for kids or adults! With Halloween just 9 short days away, I wasn't able to get the costume I mostly wanted! So now, after watching this video, I can rest easy knowing that I will be able to dress up with my daughter's this year!

Just a tip (not sure if she had the same problem): try not to get the tissue and liquid latex onto the hair line otherwise it creates almost a cement-like material and is so very painful and difficult trying to remove it! This is just what happened to my SFX look!

Did you add tissue because the latex was thin?

It was just to make the cuts appear deeper, and the latex is easier to cut through x

if you’re allergic to latex is there something in substitution i can do?

There is scar wax you can use as an alternative, this also looks more realistic, but much more fiddly I find! You just need to find very soft, mouldable wax ☺️👍🏼
