I lived in Colorado for over 40 years. Hunting, trapping, angling and backpacking the high country. The lake in the video is not at 10,000 ft. In elevation. The flora gives all the clues. I'm going to take a guess was it Rio Grande reservoir, found west of Creed Colorado? There is a burger joint a few miles south of the turn off to the reservoir. Don't go there unless you need a 3 hour rest. Wife and I stopped there and full three hours of line to getting a very expensive 2 burgers and fries with soda pops. Also one bathroom.
Learned a lesson as a kid. Every time I saw or heard a fisherman talk about his big catch, I'd always ask him where he caught it. They always had the same reply. "Caught him right in the mouth'. Lol
Bass fishing is what I normally do. My kids got me a saint Croix bass mojo rod last Father’s Day. I haven’t purchased a rod in years and couldn’t believe how light rods and reels have gotten, to a point of worrying I would snap it. Even the reel is carbon fiber but first time out I was with my brother I kept catching and he kept taking pictures. We were using the same bait but with different line and leaders and the cast ability of my new rod and 22 lbs of drag I smoked him. As for the rod and how I can finesse the different lures, I was shocked at the flexibility! Bass see your boat and dive. My biggest was 4 lbs even! That was a record for that lake. 30 years of fishing that lake never produced much over 2 lbs.
Wow Dan! What a dream day Brotha!! Headed to Denver next week after a three day stint on the Green below Flaming Gorge. Might send you a DM about this gem. WoW! 🔥
