When my son died a few years ago I started collecting butterfly brooches. He has become a butterfly instead of a caterpillar! I now know what I can do with the many many pieces ! I can’t wait to begin my butterfly heart in memory of Jon Keith ! Love, Jon’s Mom !
This is so BRILLIANT ! What a beautiful way to remember your Grandma by repurposing her jewelry ! You both share a gene... her eye for jewels & your eye for art ! Thanks for sharing ! 💚🌹😍
That frame with your Grandma's jewellery is absolutely beautiful those pins are vintage and every time you look at it you will remember your grandma love it
It’s gorgeous. I was very close to my grandmother and I have a few pieces of her jewelry. My mom passed away 3 years ago and I have a few of her pieces too. Thanks to you now I know what to do with them. Your little girl is adorable 😍.
This is my first time watching and was so impressed by the amazing heart u made from your grandmas jewelry. Young pple these days just don't take the time to appreciate our families as we used to. I'm sure your grandma is looking down & very proud. Ty for sharing your story. Much love from Pa.
when I was young I didn't care about anything old or family. As they get older they will change and want your old stuff, believe me. Its an age thing not a "young people these days" thing. So save your stuff for the young ones so tthere when they become you :)
Your heart IS beautiful! What a great way to honor your Grandma. I hope that piece warms your heart every time you look at it. Your baby is so proud of her self and she's so cute. Tyfs
OMG! I have a granddaughter who is now 8! I remember when she was that size! Enjoy every moment because they grow up so fast! I loved your jewelry and message board video. I am a cancer survivor who needs a hobby, and I have a ton of my grandmother, mother and Aunts jewelry taking up drawers and boxes in my house! Can’t wait to try this!
You all prolly dont give a damn but does someone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Harlan Rohan I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Beautiful heart. My Grandpa did not let us have any of her jewelry. He had an auction and sold everything in the house. I used to go in my grandma's drawer and look at the jewelry and I thought it was diamonds and rubies but it was just costume but I loved looking in that drawer when I was a little girl. I am so glad that you got to have some of your grandma's jewelry because when they go what do you have to hold on to except memories. She died of a disease called Myasthenia gravis when I was 11. The hospital made an exception because back then you had to be 16 to visit so I got to see her before she passed. I still miss her even today.❤
Wow!!! Thank you, I just cleaned out my jewelry box. You game me such inspiration, because I was going to give everything to the Goodwill. I'll have to take another look to see what I want to keep.
Your jewelry heart actually brought tears to my eyes because of your story and how BEAUTIFUL it is. I think this my favorite DIY project of yours!!! ♥️
It really IS gorgeous! The heart shape is perfect, something I cannot seem to do even with a pencil. 🙄 This I'd the 1st video of yours I've seen, but I'll be looking for more. Your beautiful daughter is adorable ❣ What I've always wanted to do is a 3D Christmas tree with old jewelry. Those of you in SCal might be familiar with Roger's Gardens. There was an artist whose work with vintage jewelry was sold there, and she made the most exquisite jeweled Christmas trees. (Her work may still be there, but I haven't been for 7+ years, hence the past tense.) Of course, I wouldn't expect an outcome similar to a trained artist, but I'd still like to try with some of my sentimental pieces.
✂️🧶✨️🌻 Thank you for sharing your "Grandmother's Heart"! 💛 It is so amazing! Such beautiful brooches/pins! You did awesome making it as well as explaining how to assemble it. Thank you. I keep my brooches & pins on a lamp shade. It works great, but recently we got rid of lamp. I kept the shade though! 🌝 Make today amazing! 🌻
I have been sitting on a vintage jewelry project for the last 5 years lol I have been collecting the pieces here and there. Now I have 2 must-make projects!! ❤💎💍
I did something with my mother’s pins for my daughter. I had a lotus flower board made and put the pins on that. I also had the Hand symbol in yoga made for my pins!!! I think it is a precious gift that will end up eventually in a thrift store but I won’t know about it lol
I like the jewelry idea, because you always have pieces of jewelry that come off from something you currently own. I have an extensive jewelry collection. I am thinking of using expensive pieces to display and make a tree. I also think anything old or new would be beautiful. I loved your jewelry frame as well.
This is an idea that's been around a long time. It used to be really popular to make Christmas trees on material and plywood and drill holes for lights.
First time to find you and watch your DIY making the heart from your Grandma's jewelry. Beautiful. You mentioned putting a link to Arteza for the frames, but I haven't been able to find the link. I'll try googling it. Thanks!
Love the way your heart with vintage jewelry turned out! Have you or do you know about putting the jewelry right on the glass and putting resin over the entire glass?

Its beautiful. I'm putting brooch around a mirror which has a wooden frame trying to figure out how to put them on the frame.
Thank you 😊 I would suggest trying to find something that works for metal and wood because some of the pieces on mine fell off using just hot glue.
Do you have to clip off the pins on back of the brooches before Gluing them
I didn't. I just put the glue on that part 😊
Great idea! I need to make one of these hearts!
