Turkish Red Lentil Soup (Kırmızı Mercimek Çorbası) A velvety, comforting, and nutritious lentil soup!
I am Syrian/Lebanese-this is my favorite soup! However, we make it a little bit different by adding some sautéed garlic and cilantro at the end….it really kicks it up a notch! Squeeze of lemon and some fried pita chips you’re set to go! ❤️
I love adding lemon! I will have to try it with the sauteéd garlic and cilantro! Thanks for sharing!
Looks so delicious ❤❤❤
Thank you! I hope you will try it!
I made this soup the other night and it is now one of our favorite soups. Thank you, Suzy, so much for sharing this recipe!

Aw! I am so glad!
Thank you, looks so tasty.
I love this one 😍 Specially in winter ❄️
Really easy to make and a great recipe. Thanks for sharing. I didn't have your pepper choice but seeded and finely chopped a small Serrano pepper. A bit of heat but a wonderful new favorite soup.
Wonderful!
Oh this is so delicious. Love red lentils.
Fantastic awesome love it, big thank you
Can’t wait to go home and have this. So simple and healthy ❤❤❤
I hope you enjoy it!
I made this tonight and used carrots, yellow onions, and sweet peppers sautéed in olive oil. Then used homemade turkey broth, green lentils, paprika, fresh ground coriander, chili powder, and a pint of heavy cream and used the hand mixer like you did with recteq freaking Greek seasoning. It was amazing. My kids even ate it. We served it up with some cheesy garlic bread 🤤❤️ thank you for the inspiration! I have been making variations of many of your dishes the past year and so far almost all of them have been successful.
So you made something different then.
We do a lentil soup but bolster it with rice and veggies to keep it vegetarian friendly and don't use any stock
Then pass it through a sieve
So dang good
Can EVOO be used on high heat? If yes, which kind do you recommend
My favorite middle eastern soup. Best in the world
It’s not middle eastern, it’s Turkish
@@utku_baloglu ohh my bad, yeah I went to Turkey last year and had that soup. It was the best soup I’ve ever had besides Romanian cause I’ve grown up my entire life with Romanian cuisine
Do you soak your lentil prior to cooking?
Nope! No need to soak them with this one. Enjoy!
A dash of what pepper?
my husband is from Turkey, and he is Turkish, and this is not the way to make Turkish Red Lentil Soup.
