      @@nobody5387 You can find out the beats and then adjust your clip's climax such that it ends on the beat. You can Speed ramp the clip to add that slo-mo effect just before the landing.

    Including camera settings would be helpful for those of us learning about shooting video and working technically with a camera

    I’m always fascinated by these videos, because many people (including myself) do not really think about all the time, energy, vision, and raw talent that goes into such footage. It’s just mind-boggling. Major props to you guys with the patience and vision to manufacture works of excellence...such artistry to show the assembling of a skateboard. It really makes you appreciate things you never even THOUGHT about before. Nice.

    This was super sick Daniel, your shots are really creative and your sound design is on point too! Man, DIY skate spots are the best. I grew up in TO, now live in Hamilton and also have been skating for most of my life, I miss the all day skate sessions, my body just can't take it anymore haha. I still skate like once a week though, if you ever want to film or skate, let's do it! I'm just down for creating cool stuff, or playing some games of skate.

    this takes pure talent and gift. I mean it's like solving a difficult math problem, the smartest kid in the class is able to break it down for you real easy but you'd still be stuck with the next problem. Daniel is pure genius. This can't be simply duplicated through hard work. Period.

    I've been rollerskating all my life, my rollerblades have done some decent shots....can sometimes cause a different style of movement when you step a certain way with the blades.

    Got a question: do you choose the music first, or do the transition first?

      Personally, I choose the music first to fit the vibe I want, and make sure it's not too intense/long that I still demonstrate the content I wanted. By counting beats while listening to music, I even know what B-roll I want to put in while listening to it.

      Same here, I make a music short list prior to shooting therefore I know what kind of rythm shot I have to get and then no matter which one I pick I'm good

    Would love to see a slightly slowed/broken down version of how you edited this one! I loved the breakdown of the salad video, but got a little lost since still fairly remedial to FCPx.

    How do you get super slow motion filming 4K? Sony is only 4K 30fps. Plug in? Optical Flow? or 1080p recording?

    How do you edit the background sound from the audio and get only the sound you want to get?

      For me all the clips are muted then he will just look for sound effects on artlist that will match what is happening on the clip. Like how the board pops, how it lands etc...
