The way you matched the beat with every trick shots was a blessing to the eyes and ears.💥
Love your work.🖖🏼
I second that, fantastic touch. simple but really effective
first thing that stood out to me as well!
the timing is just perfect
How does one do this?? Do you edit to the music?
@@nobody5387 You can find out the beats and then adjust your clip's climax such that it ends on the beat. You can Speed ramp the clip to add that slo-mo effect just before the landing.
I think you're one of the most talented people I (don't) know! I mean, daaaamnnnn Daniel! 🔥
Lila old memes revived.
@@wearejungians hahahaha I was wondering if someone would get it 😂 it just got a new meaning!
Lila Ellen would be proud 😢
@@wearejungians 😭❤
Lila That you don’t know 🤣👍🏽
That beat match to the tricks was pure sorcery! The finest editing I've ever seen!
I watched the transitions frame by frame and I'm just blown away by how much you can trick our brain with just 3 frames.
I believe that these behind the scene videos are the best way to help your audience. With that you show us everything, the production and the postproduction. Thank you so much ☺️
But else we need to see how he edits that. Clips and also design sound
ua-cam.com/video/PsVHn5Tmb3Q/v-deo.html please watch this
Do an editing tutorial on that ! But be more focused on the transitions
Agreed :)
Yes!
Yes please! For this video lol
YEA!!!
Yes :D
Getting to hear your thought process for each shot and seeing how you’ve planned each shot to go together is really helpful!
I love that you show us the whole process, I feel so inspired and I can't wait to try out some of these techniques.
Looking for transition tricks, but I found the sound design was much more interesting! :)
Tran Duy Totoro is that more automated or self inflicted? By automated I mean is there a plug in that does it for you? Or is there a program that you do it on yourself?
ua-cam.com/video/PsVHn5Tmb3Q/v-deo.html please watch this
Sorry no transition tricks only flatground lol
*_Your cinematography is so smoothe!!_* Lovin it
Você é gigante! Sua didática, técnica e criatividade me inspira! Valeu, brother.
I have watched this about a dozen times already. The sync between the beat and the board hitting the ground is just amazing.
_Woow your shoots are amazing! Keep it up Daniel! I'm so chocked by your talent_
Yeah it's so epic!

Hey Daniel, you should include metadata on your “raw footage”
Including camera settings would be helpful for those of us learning about shooting video and working technically with a camera
Yeahhh i was supposed to comment plz also add lens
glad this comment got some good feedback! wasnt expecting that. Keep up the good work Daniel! lets see how he makes us viewers happy next time
Yes definitely, that would help indeed
Very helpful. I had to back up the video like 5 times to really understand what you did at the grip tape roll to knife cut transition.
I’m always fascinated by these videos, because many people (including myself) do not really think about all the time, energy, vision, and raw talent that goes into such footage. It’s just mind-boggling. Major props to you guys with the patience and vision to manufacture works of excellence...such artistry to show the assembling of a skateboard. It really makes you appreciate things you never even THOUGHT about before. Nice.
That sync with music and the skateboard!! So SICK! Well done mate.
Oh damn!!! This is fire!!! This video LITERALLY made me fall in love on cinematography and editing and EVERYTHING!!!
The sound of music and skateboarding is synchronized, amazing
Came for the transitions, left with wanting to go out and skate
After graduation from film school I was stuck with all those old fashioned rules for many years. Watching your works completely changed my view . THANK you Daniel.
whats some example of old fashioned rules
This was super sick Daniel, your shots are really creative and your sound design is on point too! Man, DIY skate spots are the best. I grew up in TO, now live in Hamilton and also have been skating for most of my life, I miss the all day skate sessions, my body just can't take it anymore haha. I still skate like once a week though, if you ever want to film or skate, let's do it! I'm just down for creating cool stuff, or playing some games of skate.
Even the musicality of the wheels slamming the ground on beat , in essence creating the best, was fire. Great breakdown. Thanks for the inspiration!
Daniel I always appreciate how you show the raw footage and then tell us what you did to it. Awesome video. So helpful!
Thank you so much for this behind the scene video. I learned a lot from it. The final video is so smooth and perfect 👌🔥 🔥
Glad you liked it!
@@danielschiffer was this filmed in 120fps?
Perfect filmming and edit 👍 I like how you matched it also with music. Great job!
I LOVE seeing the BTS of your shoots. It is always so eye opening. Not only are your edits amazing but being able to see your process makes for some of the most informative content I have seen on the site for a long time. Please more of these. Like your final videos, these BTS's are amazing. Thanks man! Keep it up 🤙🏼
this takes pure talent and gift. I mean it's like solving a difficult math problem, the smartest kid in the class is able to break it down for you real easy but you'd still be stuck with the next problem. Daniel is pure genius. This can't be simply duplicated through hard work. Period.
DAMN DANIEL WITH A NEW VIDEO AGAIN IT'S CREATIVE WHILE SATISFYING! ⚡
damn daniel back at it again hahaha
One word.... “Awesome”!!! This is why you’re in a class by yourself.
Best B roll/transition instruction format on UA-cam. Really gives us a glimpse of how shots are actually obtained. Thanks and hopefully you can show the editing process as well.
I love this Daniel! Thank you so much for putting content like this out to help us that don’t know where to start! 🙏🙏🙏
Ok I was waiting for this 😍 Daniel you’re an artis bro! I’m learning a lot from you 💥
That was dope! I would absolutely love to see more content like this...
The ramping and timing of the skateboard tricks landing and the snares on the beat is 💯🔥
That’s all about the composition of each frame and time remaking
Thanks for inspiring me!
Dude, this is awesome. I have always been curious about how those transitions are done. Thanks for putting effort into making this video.
I can't believe how good you just keep on getting.. insane! 💥
Thanks so much :)
Bruh🤦🏾♂️ This is a masterpiece. Love the skateboard's verse. Out of all of your pieces this is the stand out imo. Everything is impeccable and engaging. Genius edit. Amazing work
Amazing job man!!! Beautifully executed and the sound design was perfectly matched!

I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!

You became my favourite UA-camr 🎥
Learned so much from you and used some of it in my latest Tenerife Travel Video 😊
Glad you enjoyed :)
@@danielschiffer where did u get the smooth whoosh sound effects from? i need them in my life aha
The tricks landing with the beat couldn't be any more perfect. Well done as always!
Love these behind scene videos!
many compliments from your Italian follower. It would be nice to see the editing phase too. I'm curious about what you use to stabilize the footage and how you use position key frames. Thanks for these precious videos!
These dude must have the most stable hands in the world. I can't believe most of the shots were handheld
everything is on perfect beat and it amazes me
The sound design and the editing on the beat of the music, sick 🔥
PHENOMENAL BTS and the final video is spot on! Thanks! Qs can you detail your camera settings? Was it edited in Premiere?
I've been rollerskating all my life, my rollerblades have done some decent shots....can sometimes cause a different style of movement when you step a certain way with the blades.
I agree! Our human feet are no match to wheels haha
Man, you are the most life changer youtuber out there... You always give and give... May God bless you more and more... 😭
Amazing!!! So exicited and much surprised especially when u shoot on a skateboard. Thanks
What would be a standard rate for a advert of this quality? Out of intrest
Got a question: do you choose the music first, or do the transition first?
Personally, I choose the music first to fit the vibe I want, and make sure it's not too intense/long that I still demonstrate the content I wanted. By counting beats while listening to music, I even know what B-roll I want to put in while listening to it.
Same here, I make a music short list prior to shooting therefore I know what kind of rythm shot I have to get and then no matter which one I pick I'm good
simone woo Doing the transition first is nearly impossible
ua-cam.com/video/PsVHn5Tmb3Q/v-deo.html please watch this
He chooses the music first, it’s on another vid of his
Cant stop watching your channel. Just awesome
The rhythm and melody are very well grasped. The dynamic and multi-angle motion lens is very sensational. It taught me some knowledge of the mirror, thank you~
Amazing camera skills! How did you bring the camera perfectly parallel to table at 1:58?
Grid lines iguess ? 🤣
This is amazing! How did you get all the sounds for the video? I feel like I was more focused with the sound than the actual video ahaha keep up the good work man!

Love the Peter McKinnon coffee B-Roll. Ridiculously awesome!
Has to be one of the cleanest B-Roll transitions tutorials on UA-cam! Very well done, cheers Jimmy

Phuc map broll di
How many days of post did you use until the final render? Very Nice work :)))
I must’ve watched this commercial a millions times from your instagram and so inspired by your work. Keep up these behind the scene shots man....it’s invigorating me!
Would love to see a slightly slowed/broken down version of how you edited this one! I loved the breakdown of the salad video, but got a little lost since still fairly remedial to FCPx.
Your channel is THE most helpful channel out there, honestly. The BTS, the editing tutorials and everything you do is so damn helpful. Keep it coming!
Everyone: Gimbals are where it's at
Daniel: Bet
Edit: As soon as I commented he said "We're using the Zhiyun Crane". LOL
Daniel how long did it take you to plan/film/edit that spot for the client?
Matt Smith I’d love to know this too. I struggle with that portion of shooting/creating in general
Qué fácil lo haces!! Awesome work. No words.
You Sir are on the most talented clean artists for Videography!
6:53 this is why I love a6400
How do you get super slow motion filming 4K? Sony is only 4K 30fps. Plug in? Optical Flow? or 1080p recording?
This^
He shoots the B-roll in 1080p
he shoot it at 120fps that why the slow mos was buttery smooth
Amazing work. Some inspiration here for sure. Thanks for putting in the time!
absolutely TOP !!! DANIEL well done
Why did you use a gimbal at the skate park when you have those god given stabilized arms.😜
Nevertheless your work is awesome.
“One more for safety” is my catchphrase on shoots 🤦🏻♂️
Sir I have no Words for this tutorial, may GOD bless u, THANKS A LOT for sharing this precious knowledge with us.
Love love love your work Daniel!
How do you edit the background sound from the audio and get only the sound you want to get?
For me all the clips are muted then he will just look for sound effects on artlist that will match what is happening on the clip. Like how the board pops, how it lands etc...
Are you recording in slog or hlg? Or something else?
Yess!
So glad I found your channel going into 2020. So much to learn. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos they are really helpful.
More like this please. Simply amazing. Thank you!
Do a tutorial on sound design!!
