    Sonja, I honestly don't know how you're still standing after all of the prepping and cooking - I would be dead on my feet!! Bless your sweet mother for helping you - but isn't that what mother's are for? I'm one of them! Ha Ha Ha Ha But since I'm so much older I can't do it all anymore - when I was younger I always had parties in my house with both sides of the family - husband's and mine - but they were so much fun and, yes, the preperation took me forever - but I enjoyed every minute of it! I love all of your videos, my dear, so thank you very much!!

    • @SonyasPrep
      @SonyasPrep  Рік тому +9

      @@fionamcintosh4814 it is the major day of communal mourning in the Jewish calendar. Although a large number of disasters are said to have befallen the Jews on this day, the major commemoration is of the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem in 586 B.C.E. and 70 C.E., respectively. Central to the observance of this day is fasting.

Your sausage rolls (you had another name for them) looked fabulous as did the pizzas. Let’s face it, it all looked just wonderful. I call these burgers monster burgers because of the large size we make them. To the beef I add minced onion, minced cherry tomatoes, garlic powder, Montreal seasoning , Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, ketchup, and egg to hold it all together. I want to thank you for introducing me to Jamie Geller spices. I’m not Jewish, so the (delicious!) recipes you share are brand new to my family and having spice blends are very helpful to me. The Hawajj for Coffee especially has been a huge hit in my home. Thanks again and Blessings to you!!

      I also have the Hawaijj for coffee but not sure how to use it. DO you just sprinkle some on top of your prepared coffee?

    Everything is lovely . I agree with Irma, the tree is meant to be in a larger decorative pot. It will really finish that corner off. Love your channel. ❤️

    I love those mini croutons. I have to look for those in my supermarket. I didn’t begin cooking until I went to live with my Bubby in college. She was an amazing cook, especially for the holidays.

    Everything is gorgeous. I started cooking when I was married. Grew up with a Europian mother who told n e that I will learn when I got married. I am doing very well bh. After 48 years. Though the beginning was challenging. But my husband was very patient.

      That's so sweet. My grandma always tells me that she didn't know how to cook a thing until she got married and her husband would be so patient and loving, never complaining when the food would come out questionable.... now she is the 1 we turn to for all our traditional recipes

    Nice looking area. Now that you have a bench if you take up sewing you can make a quilted bench pillow.

    Perfect burgers: Onion soup mix and Worcestershire sauce. If you want another level, stuff them with carmelized onions. So two thin patties, cooked onions, and put the onions between them and pinch closed.

    Hi, I brown off the onions first before adding to ground beef. I chop them finely, fry off, let it cool before adding to meat.

    Wowzers! So much food! Looks fantastic! Great ideas.
    BTW If you remember, I cooked the Moraccan fish ( your recipe)and I thought it wonderful! However, Frank ( husband), must of worried a bit during the day. When he walked in the door that evening, he was carrying a box of frozen pizza...😂😂😜! What can you expect really? He's 63 and set in his ways. Oh well.
