Good to see you have it sorted. £1500 for an air leak - ouch! I have a searover 28 on the east coast which we sailed (mainly motored) round to Skegness from Menai when I bought it back in 2018. We put nearly 400 hours on the motor in 2 weeks and the beta never missed a beat. I used to get a bit of diesel leakage from the filter housing which would siphon fuel from the tank when moored. New filter housing (buy it from a tractor shop- Cheaper) and she's sorted. The only failure I've had is corrosion of the small aluminium washers under the leak off unions on the injectors. Easy to replace but again, buy from kubota dealer!
Some good tips there Russell Thanks. Yes indeed with the repair we had replaced everything from the tank onward so I guess logically there was only the tank left to look for problems before we called in the pros. But I confess I doubt we would have found the problem as it was only visible under pressure. I did think they would repair the pipe but no they got 2 new ones made up including one for the return feed at a cost of £150 each so it all mounts up. But we are up and running once more and with luck can start getting out on some proper adventures like yourself.
Hi can you tell me if kipper has had a name change In The past. She looks the same as my father's last boat from a lot of years ago . She was called Tringa if Mengum

Hi, Looking back at the oldest bill of sale we have on file, way back in 1987 she was called Kipper then. No idea before that time.
