Appreciate the update! Working on a deer is considerably more use than I plan on putting mine through, since I'm just using it for simple EDC tasks - opening mail, boxes, etc. Mine is still doing fine, but I have to say I'm kind of impressed that you still like the knife as much as you seem to after using it on the deer - that's not something I'd normally consider using a folding knife for! BTW - Walmart does seem to be restocking these knives. When I originally found out about them they were sold out online and none of the big stores had any of them, but since then they've been available online twice - the first time for only a few hours, and the second time they've stayed available for about a week, so Walmart seems like they're planning on keeping these in stock, once the initial rush is over.
Found one yesterday and scooped it up. They had about 5 at the store. All I can say is wow. Extremely sharp and the action is great. Centering is a little off but for 9.97 🤷♂️
My store had about 7-8 of them last week when I was there, I only bought one and will probably buy one more next time if they still have any in stock. With regual use for about a week now, it's more than worth the $9.97 price tag. Would definitely recommend.
I found one in the area under the display case and a local Walmart recently renovated their knife section so they held the inventory for the store for about a month in the back. I may have found the last two in America last week. Walked in and they were just sitting on the rotating display. I thought I was dreaming and I grabbed them so fast. Also. Rit red dye works well and makes the knife a deep and beautiful burgundy. I found using the vinegar per the directions works best to get the color transfer.
@@southside1975maybe you can grind a deferent profile now haha good luck. I spoke with the Walmart associate and they said they have none coming from the manufacture at the moment so we will see how long it takes to get more!
I really wish people would stop buying "a bunch" of them and just buy like 2 at a time at most. You only need a primary and maybe a backup. Nobody needs 10 of these. I wish you could report scalpers on ebay too. Or at least shame them. *shakes fist*
It's also dumb to flip them when ebay takes like 10% and then you're packing it, driving to a post office, and shipping it. Dudes must be making like $4 Idk what's dumber. The sellers or the people actually buying the knife for a mark up instead of just waiting for an inevitable restock. It's not like some weird one off release
Checked all my local Walmarts, and only one was in stock but in the display case. They said it was company policy that display knives could not be sold. Hopefully they will be restocked some time soon, but customer service couldn't give me a timeline when I asked them.
They really need to keep making this with different colors too. It gets more traffic in the stores and doesn't make sense to not have them again. I'm sure like you said though....they probably won't make more of them though.
So if this knife is unavailable all over which is not true I was at my Walmart just two days ago and they had 7 of them but getting back to the knife not being available why do a follow up review no can buy any of them😅

@@appalachianknifereviews my walmarts in delaware just did a big restock, my local store had like 3 boxes, probably 30 knives so i picked up 3 😁

Nice... no complaints with mine either.

That is a cool black table mat showing all the knife terminology. Looks like it is made by "KNAFS".
Yes, it's a Knafs mousepad.
Got one sharp out the box. Good buy!

Selling things for a profit is what makes the world go round. “Scalpers”
Shut up lame ass 😂
@tylerbeard4092 where did you hear this?
Aaannnd they’re now unobtainable lol. Probably to never be made and sold again.

@@Wavy-mg2gv if it comes back out my bet is it’ll be $15-20. Rit dye can always change that orange handle color.
Walmart would be leaving so much money on the table not getting more stock. Didn't this same thing happen with an Ozark flashlight some years ago?
So what's the outdoor channel called? congrats on the deer already.

I've looked at 5 local Walmarts and check every couple days online and they are not available. I did the update because I wanted to.
