@@norbertpeli6039 yeah.
I definitely have a list of knives that I want to get but you know mostly Cold Steel love my cold steel knives but I've been eyeing a couple Microtech only one Spyderco I'm not big on Spyderco but that pm2 Tanto I love it but the private market 500 dollar prices are outrageous 😂😂😂
Maybe instead of buying the counterfeit knives from them, report the counterfeits to Spyderco and Benchmade ect, so that they can pressure them to remove them.
@fatmangaming2720 I'm not the internet police. These are widely available on Temu. I'm sure they know.
You do realize you an tune all those knives that won't flip open. I have 2 of those CR knives. After running the they flip so we'll they look like automatics. Tune Them
That knife is gonna go in a box or draw and never see the light of day again. ha ha. Bought strictly to make these kind of videos.
Interesting, Runes in the left corner of video.. thanks for the review
Mjolnir around my neck and valknut earrings in my ears.
Honestly I feel like an Amazon slip joint haul would be fun.
Man, as a kid I had nothing but slip joint knives and I very rarely buy one at all anymore.
@@appalachianknifereviews I am the opposite. As a kid granted times have changed, but I grew up around my dads knives but not for my own. He had all sorts of automatics and switchblades and whatnot. But then again I appreciate tradition a lot. But too I use knives for reasons. Like my old timer large trapper I use to skin and whatnot with animals I hunt. Kinda hard to get these blade shapes unless you spend a lot of extra dough for it in non slip joints
@@comradecracker447 you see my video with the Civivi Appalachian Drifter I and II. The I is a slip joint.
@@appalachianknifereviews I didn’t even know civivi made slipjoints. I will the vid out lol.
on the shaman, you don’t need glasses to see that the writing on the blade is all janky. you couldn’t open one properly. i don’t even want to know what type of tin are the blades made of. don’t want to spend the money on the originals? then buy cheaper knives, you can find originals at really any budget nowadays. you can’t say about that fake sebenza that it looks good, it’s not their design 😂
I have plenty of the originals. I didn't say that it was a good looking Sebenza. I said it was a good looking knife. There is a difference.
Bottle opener
LUDT
is that a clone?
@AlbertRogers-sn2pu this one is, yes. I have a couple of videos up on the channel about it. Good eye.
Hi! Try opening that sebenza clone without pressing/ touching lock bar. Many frame lock knives (legit ones too)may not open smoothly or open at all if you accidentally do that.
I can’t find a single one of these knives on temu. What am I doing wrong. I’ve typed in every possible combination of words
@jaymatthews03 so for Benchmade try BM knife. For Spyderco SC knives. Here is a link to one Spyderco. temu.to/m/ui944jqxrjo
@@appalachianknifereviews thanks bud
@@appalachianknifereviews say I wanted the dessert otf. What would I put in?
@@jaymatthews03 man, I can't find it anymore. When I click on the one I purchased it says product discontinued.
@@appalachianknifereviews thanks bud
Stop buying clones !
Tell Benchmade to stop price gouging and I will.
The markings on the blade of the Shaman don't look etched at all. And if they are the etching isn't deep enough.
The Micro tech is the LUDT
You should really not be buying knives off Amazon. Ive heard that lots of people are sending back clones and getting their money back. The clones get put back into rotation and then you end up with one.
looking at the video the manix doesnt look bad. Spyderco never released a LW S30V manix, which is how I can tell these were not manufactured by knife enthusiasts.
Good info. This is exactly why I wanted to make these videos so knowledgeable guys can help those with less knowledge about these things.
Would you consider Cold Steel Temu knives?
@@Fr_dG not if you buy them from Cold Steel. It's only a Temu knife if you buy it from Temu.
I owned a real Crooked River.... it was amazingly smooth. It's really nice.
I was duped by an eBay seller with a fake PM2. Looked pretty real but when disassembling to add custom hardware the differences were obvious. These Temu/ Chinese clones are not only crap, they are small examples of our current globalist administration encouraging the theft of our technology and intellectual property. Then allowing it to be sold back to us at the detriment of our own US companies. This is so wrong on so many levels and no American should ever participate in this type of commerce. If you can’t afford a Spyderco, save for the real thing. I promise the end result will be worth the wait and far more rewarding.
The genuine Crooked Rivers have an issue with "grooves" in the stabilized wood handle scales; I'm curious whether the knock offs have smoother scales?
That shaman is a blade hq exclusive with m4. I paid 254 bucks for the real version. That clone looks extremely close
@@bigrube420ify thank you. I kinda thought it was an exclusive somewhere but wasn't sure.
My dude, I carried Temu knives for 10 weeks for a video series. They're as bad or worse than you think. Only 2 of them were truly passable, and even then still gas station grade.
@@knivesiguess thanks for your experience with them. Some are for sure junk. Some will be just fine for the average user.
After your last video I almost purchased a bm taggedout from temu. Never have purchased any clone/knockoff knives. Wife said not to order from temu because potential account hack. So I then told her it was her fault for spending 330$ on a new knife lol
@buckintherut.8156 lmao. Well played sir. I've been order from there for a while (1 year plus) and no account hackingm
The Shaman is alllll wrong sir. The size, the hardware, the text on the blade, the pocket clip. Literally all wrong. Having to use your wrist that much to flip it out should’ve been your first clue though.
That's what I came here to say. I don't really get why spending 20bucks x 10 is good when you can get chinese made knives of quality if you're really grasping for budget.
I'm not really grasping for budget.
Definitely need a link to that Shaman! That thing is beautiful.
When I look for it now says discontinued.
@@appalachianknifereviews dang it!
@PizzaParty83 ill try to find some similar today.
@PizzaParty83 closest I can find so far. temu.to/m/ui944jqxrjo
That black side open auto microtech the model is the L.U.D.T.
Dont get the msi its had 100s of malfunction so many people sent it back due to lock failure
On that AD15 under the thumb stud thats supposed to be a pin but yours has a torx screw lol
I have the Ka bar. I bought it from the army surplus. I was thinking its fake or super budget. Either way sub $20 and a decent knife. Good lock too! Feels secure.
I had the legit Manix that that one is replicating and another regular g10 manix and I definitely noticed a difference in the blue CTSBD1 one and I just didn't like it and ended up giving it to my oldest son. He loves it though and the Manix is a knife he has multiples of. That 1 just wasn't for me. Too light. I prefer it be a little heavier.
Sebenzas are tough to work. Not that tough though.
@@bryan1976 this one is impossible to flip open. Have to use two hands basically.
@appalachianknifereviews I have an inkosi and if you put any pressure on the lockbar it won't open. Then still it's a slow roll open.
Were you able to add links? Great video, thanks!
Ha ha, no. Everyone of those knives show discontinued when I go back for the link. I'll try to find something similar this weekend.
@@Spurrific13 try this one: temu.to/m/ui944jqxrjo
Love knife videos like this. I got plenty of great knives. I want videos on the alternative
Happy to see more clone talk. That Shaman looks good. One of the fun parts of these cheap knives is tuning them. Those sticky deployments and hard edges and whatnot. Polishing the washers and filing away rough lines. That's a large part of the enjoyment. My first knock off was a Sebenza made by Green Thorn. I love that knife. It wasn't til much later I was able to get my hands on the real deal. They were insanely similar. There is a subreddit, chineseknives, where clones are the main topic of conversation. Just in case you were unfamiliar. It is pretty active. There is a lot of good info there since you are going to continue with the clones. Thanks for the vid.
thats not a deep carry clip broskie
finally picked up a demko/flytanium arcade because of the shark lock. can easily recommend a shark lock knife to anyone, crazy easy to manipulate and very fidgety. i would recommend the 20.5 or the shark cub unless you’re interested in swapping scales and other hardware, then look into the flytanium arcade.
Any chance you have a link to that Dessert Warrior? (I stumbled upon your channel, so this is the first video I’ve seen, and I don’t know which video you previously showed that knife in, so I don’t know if you’ve linked it before.)
Supporting all these fakes as an enthusiast is such a disservice smh.
plugging your Temu code on mostly stolen American IP is wild, unfortunate
just picked one of these up myself, was surprised how smooth the action was, my omega springs were very tough out of the box though, but i was able to bend them a little to fix that, great for the price, thanks for the review
I believe it would be a Microtech Mini Halo. The blade is all wrong through.
Here is my two cents on the AD-15. It was head to use the lock, but I got used to it. The action is quite good though, so as long as you get your fingers out of the way you’re good. I disengage the lock with my middle finger and all my other fingers are on the frame of the knife, that works well for me. I does just chew up my finger which I don’t really love, but it’s a cool knife so I don’t care a ton.
All otf's have "some" blade play, even real ones...except the Hawk Deadlock and it's expensive af.
I bet the claymore has side to side blade play, and i bet if you try to tighten it, or remove the pivot screw, it's gonna spin and you wont be able to hold the other side to loosen it. Just a hunch 😊
On the Kershaw Iridium, the pivot screws are exactly the same, just need to flip one or the other lol. One is just backwards from the other one 😅
I think the microtech otf is a scarab or scarab 2. Not positive though.
Microtech LUDT is the auto
Most of your fakes are gonna have up/down blade play and if you run em on a ceramic rod once or twice the edge wild have an immediate flip or bur because the steel is complete mush aka shit.
First knife is the Infidel with a weird janky ass paint job
