Delta Force 2 and LW are still unmatched to this day.
The tension that you can lose your entire progress with one carelessness while taking calculated shots was nothing short of adrenaline fuel.

Delta force BHD is such a classic childhood game for me and many people
I remember playing something similar to Delta Force, Where the first player was a Ranger and everyone else a Delta Operator.
Omg it’s the funny Delta force guy who’s also the funny Ultrakill guy who’s also the funny metal gear guy who’s also the funny Metroid guy who’s also the funny *gunshot*
This was a nice little surprise, definitely don't mind the idea of more of these, especially if you feel like you need the break from larger products. Looking forward to whatever you put out next tho!

Xtreme games are actually remakes of hte first few game with missions taken from those games and given some depth and.. with interesting choices. The coop was still good and expanded with features from the forgotten spinoff. The spinoff multiplayer/coop focused "Joint operations: typhoon rising" whose coop mode was particularly great in just how much of a sandbox it gave the players and to this day has an active cult following and multiplayer community. It also got an expansion of its own later.
This is a great format! I think a few of these here and there between more massive projects would be fantastic! (Am I just saying that to have more Trav Guy content? Maybe so)
Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising is the Battlefield of Delta Force games made by the Delat Force devs.
It's worth pointing out that Delta Force: Black Hawk Down on Xbox and PS2 were drastically different games, visually, gameplay, and even content wise. Xbox version had somewhat better graphics, bigger multiplayer match player counts (64 I think), and a voiced player character during the story as well as extra missions that predated the infamous Oct 3 raid and even a final mission where your operator goes in solo to kill Aidid in 1996. The PS2 version had abtt worse graphics, a more squad based gameplay in story, and actual classes in MP.
Also, Delta Force (the real one) is actually known as 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D), Delta Force just became a easy name for them but, y'know........ they don't technically exist on paper despite them basically being a known thing these days.
Playing DF Black Hawk Down on PS2 online was one of my first if not the first online fps experiences on console. It was quite a time to be alive lol

The older games take some work to run properly but man Delta Force 1 & 2 were so good when I played them couple of years back
I have great memories playing these games as a kid. The size of the maps were impressive at the time. Hopefully the new one sticks to the formula.
The first few Delta Force games didn't have bullet drop so you could snipe with lmg's

Delta Force 2 is a personal favorite of mine and revisit it multiple times.
It perfected the casual jump in jump out tactical shooter to doomlike levels of fun.
And I agree with you that despite the challenge being huge since you die in one hit, so do the enemies and the short nature of the missions makes for an addictive experience.
I honestly never got mad losing at DF1 or DF2. Black Hawk Down kinda sucked because it lacked all of the identity of the first 2 games. LW wasn't bad, but I can't pinpoint to why I didn't like it.

Delta Force devs had to pick the weirdest corners of UA-cam to promote their f2p not tactical hero shooter, huh.
Yeah IDK why they chose me tbh, but they paid well.

The long range, big scale milsim market at the moment is packed with good games or games that will eventually be good (lul erly axess) so if they were going to make an actual trve cvlt Delta Force game inline with the old philosophy of that IP they would get lost in the crowd, so bring in the power ups and recon arrows I guess and bank in on the name.
it's good to not always do super long videos, i'd imagine doing all the research and script writing is pretty draining for those longer ones. do whatever you need to to avoid burning out!
