- We've always love Italian designs, but their reliability track records left many wanting and fear. Japanese cars while reliable, has always looked rather childish when it comes to designs, until recent Mazdas.

If Honda Malaysia & Toyota Malaysia bring the Corolla hatchback & Civic hatchback just like Mazda 3 liftback here for sale, it will be a massive challenge and might competitive price. Unfortunately, no plan to bring hatchback here.
The fuel lid! Didn't notice it until now when Bobby focuses on the rear left hump.
The lid doesn't flow with the design! What a waste..
i would like mazda to offer some special interior colour choice. Especially the white. and it will look as sexy as Bobby's 6 series
Dear Malaysians.... Go for brighter colours, brighten up your life! 😄
Please Mazda, bring in the red interior! I am a Malaysian!
Bring the red interior pls!
I don't understand why Malaysians are so obsessed with black interiors these days :( Back in the day, we were more liberal with it. Early Proton Sagas even had blue interiors. Blue! I do fancy myself a white interior.
i went to see this car firsthand at the showroom..both the sedan and the hatchback..greeted warmly by the SA, he explained everything about the car while condemning other comparable cars (the civic and the new altis, of course), looked very desperately trying to justify the ridiculously high price with the so-called "premium-ness"...
yeah i have to agree that this new model looks fantastic, the quality build is in fact 'premium', with its clever transmission n handling...
but in the end, what we look is what is value for money...
overall, with this price, i'd go for other options...
more or less same experience when i went to test drive the hatch 2.0 at Mazda glenmarie. The SA said that that the new mazda 3 does not compete with the civic, but more towards merc A class. wow they themselves jack the prices up and then have to suka hati elevate thier own class. lol.
@@hazobi yes same with me..they claimed they are on premium conti car level...quite funny these guys...i really like to see how many they can sell this car...
I prefer the hatchback - but the sedan looks also very good. I has both seen in my favourite colour white - and it would be not easy too choose. Anyway, I am waiting for the CX-30.
Hints of Alfa Romeos - my sentiments exactly.
Malaysians disagree unless it has the 3 pointed star on it
It is the "thestraightpipes" guys from canada..
the perfected alfa brera
10:57 2008 persona got that seat base thingy. Agreed, the new 3 is more premium and better build from the CBU A-class
Pusing2 macam tu juga ke?
Noted Bobby, I'll take the hatch back one
Thanks for one more great review of the new Mazda 3. Hatchback's design looked too strange to me on the first photos available. But in real life it looks stunning. This should be the evolution of the Focus II, but instead of new Focus, this Mazda is much much more attractive. The only cons - lack of small luggage hooks in the boot ))
As for the relatively small rear windows... they are great. The ambiance is great. For those who are looking for airy interiors, there are a lot of SUVs. For those, who need a 4-person practical hatch but with Audi A5 -like ambiance, this new 3 model has perfect windows and interior ambiance )
Fabric seats are perfect and I do not understand some claims like "fabric seats, oh it is not premium"... For me, these fabric seats are better than the seats of W205.
What's Bobby doing at 12:35 ? 🤔
lifting the seats ... hahaha
Did you lift the seat to it's climax? 😉
Greige 2 tone interior please please please. That's the only thing stopping me from booking a high spec+. Come on bermaz.
Probably the most detailed review , even power window speed and why the arm rest slides.. love it! I had a go in this over the weekend, the 1.5L variant. The way it looks in and out makes me want the car, until i drove it. Power wise is just disappointing, and the brilliant chassis just emphasis that more. Given a choice, will you buy this over a Golf Tsi dsg? Golf is very well built, strong powertrain, but pricey and may not be as reliable.
I'd go for the 2.0 Mazda 3; but yes, Golf is more powerful, more comfortable, but also feels more like a utility than this. This feels like an Alfa Romeo that the world has been waiting for - a reliable and beautiful everyday car for enthusiastic drivers
@@BobbyAngmalaysia thanks buddy!
I wonder how that engine compares to the 2.5 I got on mine in Canada. 2.5 seems excessive.
Mazda 3 ' Sports ' ?? Is that a trim level ?
There's high and high plus spec for all l know. Good looking car for sure btw.
I loved Bobby design language. KODO please take note.
Looks really good but lacks the power. Shame Mazda doesn't go turbo again, like they did with the 3 MPS.
You can found the cushion knob in wira
Wira is the bessst
The back quarter angle look weid and bulky and also makes the wheels look undersized because of how much metal u can visualize in that back part of the hatch, look like a catfish
Tazwar Hossain
Hahaha catfish. What a compliment.
Hi Bobby, If I may ask why do you prefer the Mazda 3 hatch over the Mazda 3 sedan?
It's prettier to my eyes. More unique. The sedan is beautiful as well....but ....
@@BobbyAngmalaysia but what?
The hatch looks like a sibling to Alfa Romeo Brera
Yes, that was my initial thoughts when I saw the Kai concept in the internet. Glad Mazda didn't modify the concept design much.
With that height and 11 feet size, damn you are sure a big guy Bobby!
bobby, which colour would you choose for mazda 3 hatchback?
RED. ALFA ROMEO RED. ROSSO CORSA RED.
@@BobbyAngmalaysia nice choice !! It would be better if the car was equipped with a turbo engine.
Hi bobby , can you review the toyota Corolla Altis that just launch recently . Thanks in advance .
The mazda's soul
red will be more nice
Ya
Ya
Definitely the price will drop alot starting mid next year.
Toyota change to double wishbone, while mazda go for torsion beam setup... 🤦♂️🙃..
Stupidly overpriced with no electric adjustable seats even for driver n what? Not even touch screen available with that super small screen. For d price of140-160k there r way too many choices in d market.
The HUD is far away from dashboard and it is 8.8inch(if not wrong and not really small anyway) so that's no point to have a touchscreen.... But lack of some feature definitely is really deal breaker as there is still CBU
Glad someone said it, Alfa Romeo knockoff. Though, I'll give it to them for making one of my favorite car's design affordable :D
Well i wouldnt call them a knock off. Prettier than Alfas, drives better (than Giulietta) and more daring than Alfa. Basically Mazda is doing everything Alfa was famous for back then without the reliability concerns
140k u gt manual seats, no keyless, no leather seats, 1.5na engine.. Nowadays bobby licking mazdas ass like nobody's business.. Even the salesman wouldn't be ablento do that
No one's stopping you from buying whatever you like tho ... i'd spent the money for the driving experoence and the looks. You want specs? Buy a corolla then full spec like mad, more comfortable than a mazda and handles better than a civic ....
Side view for hatch is horrible
It's beautiful
i dont dig the design too. but some does
I think it's gorgeous and really sexy! Hatchback anytime!
It's beautiful. Picture cannot justified the sexy curvature of the design
CK Woof
Someone’s here call it catfish. Dugong Vios .....
Mazda has only the rust problems
Please dont mention Alfa Romeo when you reviewing Mazda.
everyone loved alfa romeo for its beautiful design, excellent handling but hates the lack of reliability .... mazda solved all these with their cars
@Car Freaknatic Mazda has never been better than Alfa and it will never be.
@Car Freaknatic just go and take a drive, you will learn, what is a CAR
That’s an insult to Alfa Romeo. No doubt Mazda has improved tremendously over the years. But to compare it with Alfa Romeo? Not even in the same league. Btw, for those who have never own an Alfa, pls do not jump into conclusion on the reliability based on “hear say” or feedback. I have driven 2 Alfas 147 and 159, the reliability beats a bmw anyday.
Mazda is always mazda. Alfa keep on doing their things for a hundred years yet others still comparing each other..
