    I am a belated gardener and I love it! My Mother was the true gardener in the family assisted by my Father. My sister and l often regretted not having paid attention to how she and my Father maintained such beautiful gardens. Both of our parents have passed now but miraculously, I have developed a love for gardening. I have become my Mother.🥀🌷🌸🌳

    Love this and oh boy did it look amazing 4 weeks on. Loved how you did the plant ledger on the left of the screen as the camera rolled over the plants, that was such a good touch. Thanks for all the effort 💜💜💜

    This video was so encouraging and helpful for figuring out what to grow in my shady front yard. I've been so discouraged in the past and mostly potted inpatients every season to go with my hostas (the only thing that seemed to grow for me and come back in the spring in this shady area). Again thank you for sharing your great tutorial and gardening expertise.

      I think the best plants to put in dark shady areas are bulbs

    It is amazing how fast they will settle in and grow, I live in the US(Minnesota) dug a new bed in my yard and in a few weeks several hostas were blooming. Had no flower stalks when put in.

    This is really quite easy to do, pity many people prefer to tarmac/stone/brick over their lawns these days rather than planting plants, then they wonder why we keep having floods in the UK.

  • @gardenjoy5223
    @gardenjoy5223 2 роки тому +1

    Yes, it looks nice. For now. But in two years time, when the plants have grown, you can get rid of half of them already. Some plants tend to run and overtake. So I just put in extra annuals in the first few years and leave enough space, that I can have those patches of color also after two years.
    Must compliment you on the lovely distribution of color and texture in the plants. From dark green to almost yellow, this spot will look lively even without the splashes of flower color. Yet, I stick with putting less in at first, to leave room for growth.
