At Newark air museum they had open cockpit days for the Vulcan, for a small amount of money you can sit in the cockpit in front of all the equipment you have seen on the video and a guide tells you all about the aircraft and its history, I don’t know if they still do this but even if they don’t its still worth a visit if you are in that part of the country. I would also recommend looking at the Black Buck raids during the Falklands war were the Vulcan was used in action for the first time. They were not replaced we now only have nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarines.
There was no direct heavy bomber replacement, as the Vulcan was the last RAF heavy B. But the missions of the Vulcan - both nuclear and conventional - were taken on by the Tornado. After the end of the Cold War, the nuclear bombing role was withdrawn from the RAF leaving them as conventional only. Tornado itself has of course been withdrawn, with its roles taken on by the Typhoon and Lightning. The Nuclear deterant was then put on the Submarine Fleet.
