This video has helped me sleep better. I have a insomnia because I overthink a lot. I usually sleep 12:00 in midnight and usually wake up 5am which is very unhealthy, I've been watching this video for 3 months now, I watch this video everyday because it helps me fall asleep faster.
It's called a distraction; you can train your brain to basically do the same thing. I divide my thoughts into two parts, conscious and subconscious. My subconscious often is overthinking. So I give it something to do while my conscious wants to sleep. So I use a digital clock for this, stare at the clock and say out loud to yourself the current time, then say the time you want to wake up. You want to take deep breaths while you do this, about 3-5 times in and out with your breathing very slowly filling your lungs completely and then letting it out, keep repeating the time "It is 9:00pm and I want to wake up at 6:15am" I fall asleep within 10 min or so and I wake up within 5min of the time I requested from myself. Been doing this for about 15 years. I wish you sleep well my friend.
