CHI first season with Mack, they were 12-4, they followed that with two 8-8 seasons, and in Macks last season in CHI, the Bears were 6-11 and fired their Coach.
Raiders were 4-12 in 2018 after trading Mack, followed by a 7-9 & 8-8 season, and finished that with a 10-7 record in '21, 5th seed in the AFC.
Raiders record got better every year without Khalil, and Chicagos record got worse every year with Mack. 🍻

If I may .. people rate trades on how the talent eventually worked out ... BUT .. for the GM who set the trade up it was a rocking trade. They got serious value. Then they blew it which is (I think) a separate category. Trade rocked. The execution was a drunk mother-in-law on acid.

When that trade for the LB Mack was made, all the commentators said the Bears would win every SB for the next 5 years....
BUT, 90% of the time a good LB means nothing if the team doesn't have a good QB.

"Jacksonville Jaguars star Josh Allen paves the way as the highest-paid NFL linebacker making $30 million annually. After being traded to the Giants at the start of free agency, Brian Burns secured the second position by inking a five-year, $141 million contract."
Some teams should listen to you.

To me the trade did nothing for both organizations. No Superbowl or deep playoff runs. They probably would have been better off not doing the trade.

I recently watched SB #4 on YT....and Ford was advertising a new car for $2,000 ...now a new Ford would cost $20,000

Love Mack but I look at it like this
Raiders defense with Mack: Really bad
Raiders defense after Mack left: Slightly more really bad
Mayock might have completely botched the draft picks he got from the trade but he still somehow tripped over Crosby in the fourth round. Silver linings I guess.

Yeah as a raider fan I got to say this fan base; seeing it first hand being part of it, is really emotional and fixated on players. Like u said, the defense still sucked with him 😭😭😭😭 and we offered him a 110+ million dollar contract and for whatever reason that just wasn’t enough to be part of the team still. So my argument to other fans is he simply just didn’t want to be a raider st that point, we still sucked with him, and whatever else. Like why would u want someone that doesn’t want you back anyways. Mack might be one of the best defensive players in raiders history to be honest I am not taking anything away from him he was amazing. But yeah u have to look at it as we didn’t spend money on a player that didn’t end to be a raider; we got draft capital and a lot of it, and we actually got better every year somehow after the fact and eventually went to playoffs in 2021. Raiders did the right move with Mack, just like they just did with letting go of Jacob’s and renfrow and Carr. Great players who represented ell but Time has passed

I'm starting to value the Rams method of treating for proven players... Draft is so volatile.

This is off-topic, but Jackson, in your quarterback videos, you consistently assume that Drake Maye will be the number two overall pick in the NFL draft. The betting odds have Jayden Daniels at -100. I know that you personally are much lower on Daniels than most analysts, but that doesn't explain why you can ignore the Vegas odds because you dont make the pick. Why do you think the Commanders are so set to take Maye? I know you are, but its their decision. If youre so sure of this, would you recommend that I bet on Maye to be the number 2 to try and make some money? Thanks, Jackson.

Both teams didn't get better and did nothing.

Khalil Mack can't run the offense. The trade was a wash. Neither team improved much. The Raiders made some bad draft picks, and so did the Bears.
