looking at their needs and the type of players they drafted, they won the draft imo, that offense will be unstoppable next year

How tf don’t you love Benson he’s one of the best running backs in the class and had almost 2K yards in two years. That was a steal. We needed one! You don’t know what you talking about

I agree with you benson doesn’t need to start this year but he will spell Connor getting experience and hopefully if cards make the post they won’t have ran Connie into the ground

The thing is Connor is a serviceable back. Theres so many needs, would've been nice to see those filled: lb,c, etc

@@thedreamsoldierful center maybe but I thought the one we had actually kicked ass for being a career backup this extends connors service especially this year and considering we are not gonna pay Connor next year saves us money also and taking talented rbs early is frowned upon for some reason I think this is great look. how much load mccafrey takes off purdy. I think we are good at lb. I expect pappoe to Start and shine this year. Maybe a cb but we have 3 solid ones and some depth.

Isaiah Adams played guard the first 3 years he was in the league, he switched to tackle the last year because Illinois needed him to do that. He should of never of been classified as a tackle

Also what you people don’t understand, these players they are getting arnt reaches…just because the “big board” doesn’t agree, doesn’t mean anything. They picked these players specifically for their attitudes and love for football. They brought in guys to change the culture

Tip Reiman is the type of player that would be very difficult to evaluate with just game tape. He has all the athletic attributes to be a very good receiving threat but the offense he was at didn’t utilize TE’s for more than dump offs in the passing game. It makes sense that underutilized players like this would be valued more by teams that work closely with them during private workouts or the senior bowl and things like that.

I get why people hate some of the later picks but i feel like the Cardinals went to go get their top guys. They are going with character traits too and almost all these guys have the character that they are looking for. This was a GREAT draft. Hopefully this comment doesn't age like milk.

So I don’t have a channel but I was asked to do this, so I wrote up my take on the draft.
    NFL DRAFT 2024
Based on what was available in later rounds I’m really impressed with Monti’s picks. But I believe he missed on earlier rounds where he could have established some “sure things.”
After the emotions of the draft have passed I’m giving the overall draft a B-. Good grade. I’m happy. Potentially a B+
1, 4) MARVIN HARRISON JR. (WR | Ohio State)
I just can’t get past the Marvin pick when I’m pretty certain we could have got another 1st rounder just to trade back and get Odunze or Nabers.
But maybe everyone in the world is right and I’m wrong. B
    2, 27) DARIUS ROBINSON (DE | Missouri)
And as much as there is a high ceiling for D-Rob, I’d rather have a defined Edge rusher or traditional DT. I HATE the word “versatility” when describing a player. Scares me. Just be great at ONE position. But D-Rob could be an exception. (Tho his senior bowl drills were awesome-he was not as affective vs great technique (like that TXA&M guy)
This guy is a true professional though. He will put the work in! B
2, 43) MAX MELTON (CB | Rutgers) Cardinals trade back in the one place they shouldn’t have. They could’ve got a top-tier CB instead they got a 2nd or 3rd tier. Max Melton from Rutgers does not impress me in coverage at all. I like our later round CB (Jones) better. The run on CB (all 3 picks prior to Melton) was devastating for the Cards. D
3, 66) TREY BENSON (RB | Florida State)
1st round talent if not for the new NFL mentality of not investing early in RB. I love this pick. It’s a trend for AZ to replace successful players with rookie carbon copies (See Budda Baker 2.0 below). Stay healthy young beast! A
    3, 71) ISAIAH ADAMS (G | Illinois)
Isaiah is a 5th round talent. Cardinals must’ve seen something in him that I don’t see. And I hope they’re right. There were so many options for the Cardinals here. I like taking a guard, but Adams is the wrong one. They could have held out for round 4 and stolen G Layden Robinson TXA&M. But maybe Illinois teammate and tight end Tip Reiman brings the best out of Adams. C-
    3, 82) TIP REIMAN (TE | Illinois)
Tip Reiman could potentially make Arizona a reliable NFL offensive for the first time since Bruce Arians-era. Cardinals are doing what all good teams do (especially teams with limited talent): Own the middle of the field. Run the ball. Set up believable play action! This wild TE prefers blocking b/c he wants to break the face and the spirit of his opponents. Don’t believe this? Read some of his quotes! What’s odd is that this blocker will also be one of the fastest tight ends in the league (if he doesn’t drop the ball). Tippy still has some developing to do, but I don’t understand why fans were complaining about taking a TE. I believe AZ should have taken two TE’s in this draft. B+
3, 90) ELIJAH JONES (CB | Boston College). This guy is potentially CB1 in two years. A total dog. He gonna eat. Kei’Trel Clark is on the chopping block. Projected at 158, but those big boards were wrong. A-
    4) DADRION TAYLOR-DEMERSON. aka “Rabbit.” Shades of Honey Badger and will be Budda Baker’s replacement in 2 seasons. Not just a nose for the ball, his whole soul recognizes what’s happening on the field before it happens. I don’t care that he’s small. He’s the same size as Budda. Not a perfect player, but he’s got 2 years to get there. A-
    5) XAVIER THOMAS (Clemson/Edge) i’m not entirely sure what to make of this. He definitely shows flashes. But this is what pisses me off about our 2nd & 3rd round picks! We should have gone EDGE there! Xavier has a chance to make the practice squad or special teams in year 1. C
    5) CHRISTIAN JONES (OT | Texas)
Many say this quick footed soccer player was the steal of the 5th round. I can’t believe he dropped this far. His senior bowl performance was incredible. He’s better in run blocking than in pass, but if Cards are patient with Mr. Jones, we will be dancing like Adam Duritz (90’s reference) and counting more than crows! (not sure what that means.). A later bloomer still blooms! B+
    6) TEJHAUN PALMER (WR | UAB) bro. If AZ was in the market for another receiver, they just barely passed up both Malik Washington and Javon Baker in the previous round! Two guaranteed WR2 or WR3! Expect both to have long careers in the league. Can’t say the same for Palmer, but I like the way he plays. C-
    7) JADEN DAVIS (DB | Miami)
How does this guy fall to the seventh round? I don’t expect a miracle, he may never be a starter, but there is a place somewhere in the NFL for a player like this. Hopefully that somewhere is Phoenix, Arizona. B+
The Arizona Cardinals got better. Maybe a lot better.

I normally like Jacksons takes but I feel like he may be a bit off here, especially with our 3rd round picks.
If we didnt pick a RB, IOL/T, TE and CB, what are we picking? 3 developmental DL and sitting them behind the starters? These guys are going to compete straight away for starter/backup jobs.
