great slide picking, and wonderful singing.I have been trying to play this song for quite a while, its not easy by no means,I hope that I will be able to play it half as good as you some day.good job and thanks
Thanks for the compliment. No, I don't have any tabs. Just sort of learned it on my own. I could conceivably do an instructional video. I have thought about it. I will be unable to do one until maybe a month from now, but I'll keep it on my to do list. What is a vidro lesson?
I was watching this to try to remember the words. Ended up looking them up and found some others that I got wrong: Look out the door there beside that tree Well, that's my pony lookin’ after me Front feet doin’ the shuffle, back feet too Blow them good old Georgia blues
Thanks for the comment. No I don't have tabs for this. I just figured it out listening to the record. Or maybe CD. And of course just faking some things that I wasn't sure of. I have to admit, though, that it is one of my favorites.
Basically it is a major E chord, but instead of tuning the 3rd 4th and 5th strings up, I tune the 1st down a full step, 2nd down a whole step, 3rd down and half step and 6th down a whole step, so it is really a D major chord. from low to high D,A,D,F#,A,D
Scott Kasson Thats open D I believe. Open D is D,A,D,F#,A,D. Open E is E,B,E,G#,B,E (literally everything tuned up a whole step from open D). Both should sound pretty similar unless you have perfect pitch though
@@bukhnt thanks for your support. I rarely try to do things "the way it's done". Why would I? They already did it. Plus I'm just entertaining myself and maybe some others, not giving or pretending to give lessons.
that there is some true down south, finger pickin', slide bending swamp blues ! Excellent, thanks for sharing ! rock on.
Great rendition of one of my favorite songs! Kudos, sir!
I like it, man you can play that thang ! Love this song.
Well done, sir. Such a great, largely unknown song. I'm a pretty crappy slide player, but I might have to give this one a run...
Man, you killed it. That is awesome.
Thanks, my friend! I needed that..... :-)

"Love them good ol' GEORGIA Blues"(NOT VIRGINIA)...though I'm from S.C....great job!
Well, since I live in Virginia, I thought I would give it the local touch. Not that there's anything wrong with Georgia, of course. :-)

Front feet doin’ the shuffle, back feet too
Blow them good old Georgia blues
Sounds awesome! Do you have any tab of this?

Sir, what is your tuning?
