I liked the pens you showed Carl. My EDC is the Fisher space pen bullet in brass. Your right about the patina. Mine is going nicely for I dunno 3 years or so. What I love is i carry it inside my K87 shirt pocket its small no space. However when you take off the cap, presto full size pen. Thanks for showing, that Pro-tech is sweet!
I love the Fisher Space Pen! Its far more carry friendly than this one.
Awesome daily carry Carl! I love edc as well. I really love everything that protech makes and Dave the owner seems like a great guy. My edc has been my spyderco shaman for my work knife , spyderco para 3 for m nice knife, Leatherman ps4 , wallet from three sons leather, titanium pry bar, mini flash light from TEC accessories and titanium tube like you have that I keep extra pills in.
Doesnt it make things so much better when the owner of a brand is cool? To me that makes me like them so much more.
Every time I see your EDC videos, as a relatively younger viewer, I can't help but think of the EDC festival I go to in las vegas lol

Cool Video, Carl! Great timing. I have started wearing hats (Akubra, Stetson) to cover and protect my bald head. I have discovered that sweatbands (roan leather) make me sweat LOTS. I have been looking for bandanas this weekend to wipe my head and the sweatband. I was surprised to find most bandanas are now cheap crap. Very thin and non-absorbent. I've ruled out the ones from the "rainforest" for that reason. I will check out the one you recommend here. Nice knife! I just bought a cheap ($26 delivered) Ganzo automatic from China. Razor sharp and fast deployment. OK steel (440C). Looks good, but not as good as yours. Nice wallet, too. I have been carrying a very similar "mini truckers" wallet for nearly 15 years, made in Tennessee. I don't use the metal chain. It has developed a nice patina on the veg tanned leather with horsehide interior. Have a great week, Carl!

😂 im an electrician also, and cant stand having edc items in copper! Great stuff Karl!
My edc is much more budget friendly cause im cheap and just need good enough at this point. My wallet is just a cheap walmart special leather bifold and in the same back pocket i clip my Lumintop FWA3 flashlight. Its more handy than youd think to have a really nice waterproof light with you. I also carry a leatherman sidekick in my other back pocket with the WorkPro folding utility knife that is kinda a slimmer Milwaukee Fastback knockoff. My favorite find was the Zebra F-701 all metal pen. I cannot begin to tell you how many pens ive broken trying to carry them at work or just every day. Its only like $7 or $8 and is excellent. My watch is just a casio MQ24-9B with a generic stretchy cloth band. It had the best 24 watch face i could find.
I have a Nibbler also. The only one handed open I can manage is to start off with a thumb/fore finger pinch then roll out with the thumb. It gets easier once it's worked in.
Good to hear! I've been grabbing the blade and flicking the handle downward. Still not ideal.
My EDC for a folder is a Hinderer XM-24, fixed blade is an ESEE 4, pen is a Hinderer Investigator. And a Bic lighter...because Zippos have that cool factor and awesome sound, but just not practical for an extended survival situation due to fuel evaporation.
The ESEE 4 is so good! I love that linen micarta handle.

I like the ESEE 3 as well, but the 4 is my go to.
Brass is pretty nice... pretty elegant yeah...non ferromagnetic, but personally I go for stainless steel...i just love the strength it has and it looks like silver :D
Hey Carl! I know you like the builder pro work boot. But what about guys like iron workers and Glaziers that prefer or need a wedge for balance and stability. Which boot would you recommend?

Nice collection! This isn't an edc item but something you may want to look into is brass safety razors. The 3 that come to mind off the top of my head are Karve, Hone, and Yaqi. Check them out 😉. If you want to venture into stainless steel I'd suggest Rex Supply Co., another honorable mention is Phoenix artisan accoutrements.

They have so many now that its hard to imagine one that wouldnt fit just about anyone. My coworker has a really cool grey one he loves and wears all the time.
Great EdC! , not feeling the bulky himel wallet and the brass knuckle , you should look into trayvax. Otherwise is all good
I've seen them, but it makes me hesitant with such rigidity over pliable leather. I'd give them a shot though.

Never understood carrying your wallet in the backpocket. Front left for me with home keys. Front right has phone, knife, and if there's a small extra pocket, my zippo. Left rear pocket has car keys if needed and right rear is empty for anything extra.
It really depends. I carried a money clip in my front pocket for years, but it became really uncomfortable when I had to crouch down a lot to work on receptacles.
