    Greetings from Australia. Nice to see your conversion. I converted a 2014 Renault Trafic LWB van, which is a leisure van for my wife and me. We don't sleep in it. We have made some long trips in it but sleep in cabins in caravan parks. We are both seniors in our 70's and 80's and like a bit more comfort. The van has done well for us over the last 10 years. I did the conversion myself in 2014. I wish you well.

    Be great to have you back on bikes, have no interest in campervans - loved the original bike hunt, looking forward to 2.0. Having commuted in London for 14 years by bike, I understand your desire to leave biking for more of a leisure pursuit.

    Van looks great hope you sell it soon, when it comes to biking do what I do, it goes into hibernation in the winter and in the spring, summer and autumn I use it for weekends and holidays away. I was getting mine ready today, tyre pressures etc. I had a 4 year gap without a bike until last year and I’m please I went back. I look forward to seeing your forthcoming videos.

      New Interceptor have alloys which is convenient if you get a puncture.
      Super Meteor 650 is alot more premium than the other 650's.
      New Trident 660 is a great bike & can be set up for touring with SW Motech throw overs & brace system.Also Tiger 🐅 660 is perfect for touring.
      Time to think🤔 & research bikes.

    Hi Nick. It'll be good to have you two back on bikes. Had an interceptor but couldn't get on with it. Traded it for an NC750X which suited me much better. Just traded the Honda for a T100. Lighter and more manageable than the T120. Seriously tempted by the Street Twin but prefer the retro looks of the T100. More money than the Interceptor but the build quality and finish are different class. Enjoy the search.

      @@bradcobb3418 . Engine was okay but I just couldn't get comfortable. Stock RE seat was very uncomfortable, tried touring seat but it was no better. Also forever hitting my shins on the foot pegs. Ride with a lad who still has one and he loves it so it just didn't suit me.

    What is the gas leak detector measuring? Carbon dioxide is heavier than air; carbon monoxide is lighter than air, are you trying to measure spent gas or propane leak or battery off gassing or? Keep in mind you would want vent holes inbetween cupboards and the with the outside of the cabinetry if you are trying to allow gas to flow from source to detector, or move detector towards source. Or if is for safety while sleeping you would want it exposed to the air in the main sleeping cabin. Same with the in floor gas vent. If it’s sealed in its own little cubby hole it won’t vent anything but gas in that cubby hole unless vent holes exist between all those cubby holes under the bed and to the main sleeping cabin. Good job on the second. I can see improvements in technique over the first.

    • @NickandJodie
      @NickandJodie  Рік тому

      Hi bud, the divides have venting, the drop vent is located in the best place really considering the fuel tank underneath was in the way where I wanted to put it. The alarm detects gas, its low down and lower than sleeping head height so should work well, cheers for watching

    Love vids, so glad you are going back to bikes. I hope this isn't to rude, but would love to know how much you want for it.
    My wife is about to take delivery of a Honda Hornet 750, and for the price, I think it will be great bike.
    I have 21 Honda nc750x dct, which I love. But depending on how the wife rides, I may have get the new Transalp 750 😊

  • @pd8559
    @pd8559 Рік тому

    If you are not commuting daily and only riding weekends have you considered something larger and more touring oriented? You get smaller Hondas in say 750 with the Shadow or in the VTX 1300 to 1800. Again questions are so you want to 2 up again but in a bigger roomier tourer or do you want to have two separate bikes. Decisions and options. 😂
