On this episode we attempt to cover the confusing history G-Force: Guardians of Space.
Like Battle of the Planets, it was based on the original Gatchaman Japanese series, but unlike Battle of the Planets G-Force attempted to be a more faithful adaptation.
But it pleased neither fanbase and has now faded into confusing obscurity.
NOTE: This is not a history of Gatchaman video. There is no mention of Crowds or anything after 2004. This is not a history of Eagle Riders either. This is about G-Force and it's directly related properties.

G-Force was the first cartoon I ever saw as a kid and I fell in love. I made sure to be at the TV every single day when it was on (for what I guess was a week). When it suddenly vanished without finishing the story, I was utterly heart broken. That year I had a G-Force costume for Halloween and no one knew who I was supposed to be.... :(
I was the same, loved that show, I even built the phoenix ship outside to play in, G Force was the best.
I watched the series when it was called Battle of the Planets, but being a kid I just called it G Force, maybe I was ahead of my time.
Same with me. I always called it G Force for years which is why I when I spoke about it no one knew what I was referring to until somebody figured it out and told me I was talking about Battle of the Planets. Then I was like why they called it that? I don't remember any planets. lol
IN the UK me and all my school chums called it G Force! Good times! :-)
Omg I saw this in Spanish lolol @toygalaxy
Same here. I was really confused watching the video. I remember around '80 watching the cartoons and referring to it as G-force as well. Hmmm. It was shown on WPIX11 in NYC. Maybe I referred to the actual team name and forgot the battle of the planets title. I even had G-force small di-cast metal toys I got from a Japanese toy store. Which is where I got Lionbot before it came over as Voltron.
Interesting video, but all us 70's kids called it G Force! Loved that show so much.
I saw this show on various obscure channels in the early 80s. It always came on at the crack of dawn. Changed my life. Even though it was a stripped down sanitized version, it was still light years ahead of anything else I saw in America.
In the UK, it was after school viewing as back then the morning was mostly kept for adults and school educational programs, apart from things like Pipkin, ("But pigs like cream cakes Hartley."), Rainbow, Bagpuss ("but Emily loved him") and some others around mid-day. Ah the memories.
I was a "Battle of the Planets" kid in the 70s; the "G-Force" eps I saw were a nostalgic visual treat.
I saw the Battle of the Planets intro the names were all different it threw me off lol I watched G Force in the 90's lol
Discovered this a little to late..this is great
Ahhh to be an 11 year old kid in 1979! 👍😎👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
G Force was the first version I saw when I was 12 years old. It will remain one of my favorite shows of all time, corny names and all.
I was a kid in GA who was glued to TBS for that one week. It was a life-changing experience.
Oh man, that G-Force Toonami bumper you showed brought back some good memories!
This was 'must watch' anime back in the day. We used to play G-Force at lunch.
OMG me too! Our 5 fearless friends would play at recess. Goood times!
Did you live in Canada? Maybe we were part of the same squad. :D
I might never have become an anime fan without G-Force, so it will never irrelevant to me.
G Force and Robotech got me started as a kid.
That's how it was for me-before Sailor Moon and Speed Racer came along.
Same here. My first anime was G Force. Next was Sailor moon.
This is making me think of how I compared DiC Sailor Moon to Battle of The Planets, and joked about it.
I remember watching G Force in elementary school.
I loved that show. The Battle of the Planets title kind of confused me when I was a teenager and only after I became an adult did I learn of the complicated naming conventions of the Gatchaman series
"Hoot Owl, Hooty to his friends."
They really thought children were stupid back then, didn't they?
"Wisecracking navigator who pilots the amazing rocketship Phoenix and laughs at danger."
Yeah, it's easy to laugh at danger when you stay in the ship and danger stays far away, Hootie.
Isn’t his name Darius drucker, not hooty?
Yup.
@Akyho , so just watch Gatchaman so that the good stuff isn't undercut by such stupid names.
Hoot Owl was so unapologetically lame that Keyop got high fives after kicking Hooty's sorry ass. :D
G-force is the version I became familiar with courtesy of Cartoon Network. I never realized there was an alternative version. I feel cheated now, I’m going to seek out the original.
Me too, as I mentioned on his other video before this on "Battle of the Planets." I was never aware of the other show from the 70s & 80s until I told a friend of mine about how I was watching this "G-Force" show and he said that it sounded like a remake of "Battle of the Planets" with different character names. He was right. Now, that I've seen this video, I was also reminded of the whole "Eagle Riders" thing too, that I forgot happened as well, and it also jogged my memory of thinking back then, "what's with all of the remakes of this one show all of a sudden?" LOL.
@@darthpaul99 I discovered the real Gatchaman way back in the 1990s. We rented some anime movie and it had a commercial for the 1994 Gatchaman OVA (a remake). I noticed it seemed familiar, then realized it looked sort of like Battle of the Planets which I had loved long before in the 70s and had since forgotten about. I rented the OVA and definitely saw the similarity. I went to the public library and used their internet to research what Gatchaman was. That was my introduction to the original and superior version. It took years to finally get to see them, first on some pretty nice DVD bootlegs, then later on the official DVDs from ADV.
G force as a title was also in Canada, but we did not have cartoon network back then.
Ya the original was way early 80's me n bro git up 5:00 you had to wait for TV to come on after national anthem
Never retire that Death Wish clip.
No danger of it happening anytime soon.
I grew up with Battle of the Planets; and was amazed at just how different it was from the OG Gatchaman.
case in point - this one scene that sticks with me to this day involved a young woman who wanted revenge on Galacta for killing her family; but when Gatchaman presents her the opportunity to exact her revenge using their bird missiles, she hesitates and can't bring herself to do it. In BoTP, both Mark and Jason support her decision to show humanity/compassion for not giving in to her hate. In the original version, Ken straight up smacks the girl across the face for wasting their time; which almost allowed the enemy to escape (think Joe took them out before they got away, though).
That scene just floored me, and I fell in love with the OG Gatchaman as a result. No other version will do for me.
I grew up watching Cartoon Network in the '90s and I loved watching G-Force as a kid. I remember also seeing a few episodes of Battle of the Planets, but even as a kid I preferred G-Force because of how toned down BotP was and how different the storyline was. Plus you can't beat that awesome theme song for G-Force.
It was the first anime series to air on Cartoon Network in the United States, before the Toonami block existed.
Thanks to Toonami I watched the "G Force" version during my middle school years. I tried to not miss a single episode. Great episode! I guess Ryu became too much of a regular at Hooters, hence his name.
In latin america G-Force (Fuerza G) was a huge success back in the late eighties early nineties.
Quite right, I watched it all the time when I lived in Chile
Back in Ecuador everybody would stop what we were doing at 4 pm to watch it .. good old 80s
I think Cyborg 009 was another one unless there was another anime with similar characters, and by similar I mean the big nose one. Nothing beat staying late at night watching Fuerza-G, Harlock, all the way till El Show del Fantasma de costa a costa, didn't understand its concept, other than it was a talk show, to be honest and found it kind of boring (well I was a kid and liked the main cartoon alot) but it was hilarious to see Zorak play its band and getting blasted, good times.
I watched G-Force (Fuerza G) while I was vacationing in Puerto Rico with my family. It was on Super Sieté WSTE-TV Ponce San Juan PR part of the Saturday morning anime block along with Captain Harlock and other cartoons. Then infomercials ruled the airwaves.
That's the version i used to watch in Mexico.
That's so sad, I loved G-force as a kid
Finally, someone who chronicles the complete timeline! Raised a BotP kid, I found the “G-Force” version aggravating, but suffered through it as it was better than having nothing. Of course all that changed once I was able to get my hands on pure Gatchaman and now nothing else will do.
I definitely was a Battle Of The Planets kid! Mark, Jason, Princess, Tiny, and Keeyop... Loved them!
Superior voice acting Battle of the Planets doomed G Force. However it is Gatchaman I in it's entirety for the most part.
I also grew up on Battle of the Planets. Just 30 minutes ago I watched the live-action movie of Gatchaman (2013). Obviously, I didn't expect it to be exactly like Battle of the Planets, but I have to admit I was still slightly disappointed. Way too much drama and not enough action for me. Also, there was no English language dubbing, only English subtitles which were very poorly done!
But at least I got to see the Fiery Phoenix at the end! 👍😄
Same here. Came on when I was 7 and I loved every second of it.
YES!! "Transform to the firey Phoenix!"
"The Five acting as One!"
When I was 5 or 6 I remember seeing G-Force on tv at my cousin’s house. I do remember it was on TBS because Braves baseball came in right after...I always wondered why I NEVER saw the show again as a kid...thx guys!
So much history behind this 🤔 I knew of the other series but I don’t think I’ve seen them or at least completely 🤔
Great video Mr Larson, Producer Greg 👍🏽✌🏽
Tatsunoko vs Capcom is still my shit...
I loved Battle of the Planets growing up in the early 80's.
Thank you for this informative video! Believe it or not, I crafted the vast majority of the G-Force Wikipedia page a little over a decade ago.
I was (and still am) a huge fan of the series and the Gatchaman franchise, and perused the dedicated fan clubs and message boards of the time for years, soaking up tons of tidbits and anecdotes.
The three most rewarding things to come out of this fandom was: 1) Piecing together the Wikipedia page, 2) Acquiring all 85 episodes of G-Force (recorded during its first two runs on Cartoon Network), which allowed me to own this rare gem, document its airing history and tons of circa-1995 TV commercials :) 3) chatting with Dean Andre (the series' composer), who provided some fascinating anecdotes on the tight scheduling (85 episodes over a 3-month period!) and dedication behind this production.
Excellent. Im a g force fan. Heartbroken ... but this video helped me move on.
Loved watching battle of the planets as a little kid in the 70's. I never got to watch the whole series but the characters made a great impression on me. I wish I could get my hands on the gatchaman series but I'm sure it would be expensive. 😕🙂
Look up "free streaming anime". The whole Gatchaman series is available, dubbed into English.
It is expensive; I bought the complete series for my birthday, and it put me back $85, but I could care less.
Thanks for this. I've been a fan of Battle of the Planets since I was a kid in the early 80s. The history of the show is complicated with the various reboots and versions. Kudos on this breakdown of this version.
Would love to see a history of Tranzor Z video, from Mazinger Z, sadly I think it would be be very similar to this one
I'm sure my little brother would be very interested in a video covering TRANZOR Z.
Brandon and Charlene have you seen the 2018 tranzor Z movie it’s good I have watched more than once
Me. Too.
We have Tranzor Z on the list to cover someday.
Yes! They were one after another, in an hour-long block. I would throw a huge shonen fit if I didn't get to watch them both!
Oh no... I've watched this a couple times and just realized I was a teenager in the Biff Tannen timeline.
I always wondered what happened to Jun when she was trapped in the flower, CN never aired the episodes in order, it was really frustrating getting into it. For some reason they also cut her relationship with "Dirk" I guess they think only the leader deserves the girl, but it seemed obvious that they were a couple or something was going on between them.
Yeah what did happen to Jun in that flower 🌸???
Wow! Very well done. I just recently purchased the Sentai release of the complete Gatchaman collection on Blu ray with the amazing Alex Ross art and LOVE IT! I was also able to get the recent release of the die cast God Phoenix so I am set. I am so happy to be able to have both. Keep up the great work!
Will do! Thanks!
I was so glad I had the chance to add more G-Force visual elements to the Battle of the Planets comics run. It was BotP in name, but more on G-Force in tone. There were more plans after its 12 issue run, and the Jason one shot, including the Princess one shot I drew that never got published.
80's G force aired in Portugal in early 90's: it felt so much mature compared to the rest of the cartoons at the time...
R.I.P to anime dubbing pioneer and G-Force producer Fred Ladd (1927-2021).
I'm actually kinda sad it's been (mostly) lost. I love Gatchaman and I do think it's superior, but being a kid in the US and seeing it first as G-Force was what got me interested in it and, later, all other anime in the 80s and 90s. Nostalgia hits me right in the feels. Thanks for this video!
G-Force on Cartoon Network was actually the version my brother and I were first exposed to, fell in love with and for ages never knew there was anything more to.
So glad this video exists. People often get confused when I talk about G-Force. G-Force Battle of the planets was just called G-Force when I was a kid. At least by us who were watching it.
Good video. G-Force was one of my first introductions to anime growing up, and as such is always going to hold a special place in my heart. I still have a VHS tape somewhere with episodes taped from Cartoon Network's Super Chunk. I kinda wish I had transferred those to DVD now.
The old ‘Firey Phoenix’ if I remember correctly
I grew up on the G-Force Edit of the show and regardless of the silly names that's the version I prefer and remember.
Guillermo Andrés Sáenz Affirmative!
Same. This was the version I grew up with and never knew the other versions existed (always thought gatchaman and g force were it).
I always thought Ace Goodheart was kinda catchy.
My The FAVORITE cartoon. A lover of birds since a toddler and wanted to be one as a child of 70's.
But I have to say, for bird super heros, they seem to not enjoy flying that much. There was a lot of episodes where G-Force team was hanging by a rope for dear life and the only thing they had to do is...fly!? I'm in my late forties now and that still drives me crazy!
Always enjoy the history of videos, Dan. I watched Battle of the Planet reruns as kid in the 80's. They were awesome.
When i was really young on this life i watched it everyday. Ahhhh memories~~~🌹🌹🌹 i remeber it so well as "Battle of the Planets" in this life xD 🥀.
One of my favorite cartoons growing up on the Alberta prairies back in the 70's
I was totally distracted during the opening of this video. Your majestic beard is hypnotic.
As a 90s Cartoon Network kid, this was my introduction to Gatchaman franchise. As a kid, the characters in the show just seemed to hit harder than in the action cartoons I was used to and I loved that. When Eagle Riders aired, the theme song turned me off so hard.
Dude this looks amazing. First exposure to this. Boom.
I have been waiting for this vid of the history of “Fuerza G” since I started watching your vids. Therefore my friends…you have just earned a sub!
I remember watching Battle of the Planets on the old Channel 48 in Philly when I was 4 and 5. I remembered the theme and characters all these years. I then saw G-Force on Cartoon Network shortly before I graduated from college. For me, no comparison, Battle of the Planets for me.
I watched "Battle of the Planets" as a kid...the team consisted of: 1. Mark 2. Jason 3. Princess 4. Keyop 5. Tiny. The main nemesis was Zoltar.
I remember being obsessed with G-Force in the 90's when i was in the single digits, I'd draw the characters, and run around my school playground with my jacket clipped only at the neck so it could be my cape 😅 after hearing all these other names I thought 'G-Force' was just a fever dream until I looked it up lol
I remember G-Force as my cable company finally got around to carrying Cartoon Network in 1995, right when it was on. I had never heard of Battle of the Planets and assumed this was the only version. Kid Rhino put out a few episodes of each show on DVD in the early 2000s and I was very unimpressed with BotP vs. G-Force. Now that we have the entire original series with a more faithful dub - we finally have the whole series intact. This 2005 dub has some issues but is much better than the previous US versions. Although it's kinda sad that these versions are now legally lost in time. It's how some people were introduced to anime.
Good gosh, you did an incredible job of wrangling out Sandy Frank's Gordian (Gatchaman?) knot leading to G-Force:GOS. Bravo!
I remember seeing this,Vampire Hunter D,Twilight of the Cockroaches, and Speed Racer on Cartoon Network. I remember it being called the "Japanimation" special or something like that. Couldn't remember the roach one and whenever I'd ask someone about it they'd look at me like I was nuts.
Every couple of years I think back and wonder "Whatever happened to G-Force?" Now I know. Thanks for the closure.
I saw G-Force when it ran on Cartoon Network. I can't believe it was part of such a huge boondoggle... which is what I'd say if I hadn't learned about Robotech's equally convoluted history.
I was born in 1970 so I was 8 when Battle of the Planets hit American airwaves. I remember waking up extra early when it aired at 6 am on a local network. My dad would have already gone to work (construction) so I would go into my parent's room where there was a TV and watch it every morning in my pajamas. For Halloween my mom made me a Mark/Ken costume. I even managed to find the model kit for the Mark/Ken's jet which I built and painted. Finding any items was damn near impossible. I distinctly remember making the Phoenix with my Lego.
For me this was Battle of the Planets.
I watched it when it was called G-Force. I saw DVDs of it, but I got confused when it was called Battle of the Planets.
I loved this toon. I was so young and it totally captivated me.
Great video, and much respect for the extensive research!
BotP was my first exposure to Gatchaman, and it still holds a special place in my heart despite having the full, unedited original Japanese series in my collection. Sure, BotP was severely edited and it still talked down to its audience, but the voice acting and additional music were both pretty darn good.
G-Force and Eagle Riders are unwatchable if you leave the sound on, and the Gatchaman II "Chickenship" is one of the worst designs ever. The GatchaSpartan was dull, but at least it wasn't an eye-sore.
Looking forward to an Eagle Riders video though, just to see the whole story all the way through!
While I am not a fan of the GatchaSpartan, it did make a slight bit more sense than the original GodPhoenix, in that it was made up of only of each individual character's vehicles, so it couldn't be fully assembled until they were all together. The original God Phoenix for some reason wasn't able to go into Fiery Phoenix mode unless all 5 of the character's vehicles were inside the ship.
Great run down. Thank you!
Growing up in Belfast in the ‘70s, I loved BOTP. G-Force! Transmute!
That's sad. I watched G-Force on Cartoon Network in the mid 90's growing up. Ace Good heart was my favorite as a kid. Oh well. Good childhood memories none the less.
:)
Thanks for this video. I miss Battle For The Planets. Though seeing it as a kid, I always just called it G-Force. I used to watch it every morning before grade school.. I loved it and wondered why I didn't see more merch back then. Thanks for the memories.
It makes sense now. I remember watching "Battle of the Planets" when I was a young kid in the 70's. Because I was a fifteen in 86, I imagine I saw the 6 episodes that aired and because of memory association, I grasped upon the name "G-Force" as that cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid. I must have just assumed that the show was named G-Force back then as well. Sometimes I wonder if I lost a few things in my surgery when I was 10.
Edit to add: I love your channel. I share videos from it all the time on various Facebook pages. I hope it helps increase your popularity!
Thank you. I think my story is the same. Just assumed I was watching GForce but it was actually BOTP.
I remember this series as G-Force, and call it this to this day (though I've become a fan of Gatchaman as well). This series aired on KTTV (Now Fox 11) in LA, and I remember it being awesome, to the point where I created mini versions of the Phoenix out of Lego. The episode I'll always remember is when the Phoenix got heavily damaged, and it had to be rebuilt, and they show it be recolored and everything. Then, to when, I think they went into Ice Bird mode, and the the Phoenix as blue in Firebird mode. Loved the show!!!
Great history!
Thanks Dan. I had no idea of the convoluted history of this show.
Like Sailor Moon and Speed Racer, G-Force was one of my first animes as a child in the 90's thanks to the early Cartoon Network. I adored Agie on the series.
I never got to see Battle of the Planets when it came out however G-Force was my first introduction to Gatchaman when it aired in my country in the late 80's. Then I saw the 90's OVA remake and found out that they were originally called Gatchaman.
That's a common story for sure. At least there was a Gatchaman presence that led to many people finding Gatchaman so it wasn't all bad.
Thanks for this. I had wondered what the heck brought about G-Force. It's a shame Tatsunoko doesn't seem to recognize that Battle of The Planets was really their foothold into the US market, and is worthy of a Blue Ray Remastered release.
Don't get me wrong, I dig Gatchaman, but they're leaving money on the table by not pandering to the formative years nostalgia of me and people in my age group. We have jobs, a good many of us are at that point where if we can get the stuff we always wanted, we'll do it.
Tatsunoko simply might not want to happen to that series what happened with Robotech here in the west. What Harmony Gold did to that brand would send would make any Japanese producer scared witless.
Some years ago (2010 I think), the powers that be finally did a live-action film in Japan. I've been trying to get it, no luck thus far.
You were right...once the Gatchaman discs came out, I gave up on looking BotP and G-Force
i watched "Battle of the Planets" and "G-Force" and latter saw Gatchaman and loved all 3
So wait a minute... The 3 series have different Episodes or same.
@@bambibelle84 they use the same footage, but basically Gatchaman is the original Japanese show, Battle of the Planets removed a lot of violence and added new animation (a robot and a dog robot), G-Force tried to stay true to Gatchaman but changed names and other details
@@CHASEMARC Thanks for the quick reply. This helped alot. I wanted to get the Box set of Gatchaman but I basically grew up with Gforce so I'm glad to hear Gatchaman and G-Force are close to being same. I wanna try and find a website I can watch the episodes tho cause that box set is expensive.
Didn't even know G-Force was anime or japanese of origin back then, all I know is it was a cool cartoon with a catchy theme that I still like to this day.
and costumes
I didn't think it was Japanese at the time, but my dad knew it was. That's why he said "It makes me think of when I was 11 and loved Godzilla films."
Heroes with special powers dressed in bird themed costumes... that sounds familiar alright. It brings to mind another Japanese show that has a similar theme. It's called Chojin Sentai Jetman. It's the 15th entry in the Super Sentai Series which aired in 1991.
I watched G Force when it was on tv as a kid. Never saw any of the other cartoons. I thought it was AWESOME & would love for it to see the light of day on physical media
I was a Fuerza G kid back in the day, and was just trying to make sense of the whole mess. Thank you so much for this!
Jesus, what a confusing history! I knew these characters as G-Force and I hooked as I watched episodes in the 80's. I don't remember how many there were but I saw more than a week's worth. I believe I also watched episodes in Spanish as well. The phoenix mech often gave me so much inspiration for home made toys back then.
I religiously saw the complete run of G-Force in my country, it was on Saturdays and Sundays for an entire year, and then, gone. I never got to see it again but it was a cool and trilling show, I really miss it.
What a complicated and muddled story. You can see why people look back fondly on Battle of the Planets, despite its flaws. It was simple, fun, and it worked. Most people just did not have the time/energy/attention for all of the other versions.
I was 7 years old.... watched that 1 week in the summer of 86' and searched endlessly turning the tv knob every morning for the next year looking for that cartoon to come back on. Gilligan's island WTF.
Hey, this had nothing to do with guinea pigs
I was thinking of that movie also!
Well. After watching the Battle of the Planets episode last week and now this one, I am not even sure which version I watched as a kid. I was born in 1976, and the memories of the show are fairly hazy, but I remember thinking it was super cool. So, probably young. I guess I was seeing reruns of Battle of the Planets? But, I just remember the show as being "G-Force" so... I dunno.
I used to watch this when I was 8. I had no idea its origin was that old if it originated in 72. This cartoon and GI Joe were my fondest memories of cartoons as a kid. Good stuff 👍👍
Battle of the Planets was my jam when I was a kid! Saw the G-Force series when it came out on Cartoon Network, and I was like "WTF is this?!?". Recently got the full complete collection of the Gatchaman series, so much better than BoTP and G-Force.
I first saw G-Force when I was 11. My dad said it reminded him about how he liked Godzilla films when he was 11.
Many years later, there was a re-release of "Battle Of The Planets" on DVD and I bought it. I hated it. If you thought DiC's translation of Sailor Moon was awful, it doesn't even compare to how bad Battle of The Planets butchered the original script.
Blasphemy! Center Neptune ForEVER!!! 😋
@@machupikachu1085 Did you ever see the original Gatchaman? I wonder how you would react if you did.
@@skylinefever I did see and years later. It didn't have the same impact on me as Battle of the Planets did when I was six.
You cleared up a lot for me!
Thanks for posting this. I wasn't aware of the 2013 release.
This is how I was introduced to Gatchaman I remember watching this as a teen on Cartoon Network…later when I became an adult I was surprised how old this cartoon really was 😂😂😂
Ok i was so confused! I only ever saw GForce as a young kid on CN and never again and never recognized “battle of the planets” this makes it all make sense. Thank you so much.
Amazing video!!!
Thanks man just yesterday i wrote you that after watching your episode on guardians, that i was lost because i grew up in Puerto Rico in the 80s with fuerza G, so again thanks for clearing that up👍
Great video, thank you 👍
Loved all Gatchaman and happily have all the episodes.
Thanks for filling in my foggy 6 year old memory. In early 80s I had a DIY G-force halloween costume
Tatsunoko vs Capcom was AWESOME!!!
I was a BotP kid. I was an adult when I acquired the 85 G-FORCE episodes around the turn of the millennium on the old fan tape trading circuit. Initially, I was in shock when it came to Ladd's sixties style character names combined with what sounded like synthesized porno-music. After the shock wore off, I came to appreciate that it was an attempt to more faithfully adapt Gatchaman. I also came to appreciate how the dub script often seemed to MiST itself (before MST3K was even a thing). I like the music and voice acting in BotP better, but often I find myself more in the mood for the camper redub with the villain sounding like Harvey Fierstein.
This came on late at night in 1995? where I'm from and had to sneak to stay up and watch it. I fell in love with the series been a fan ever since. Now binging on Gatchaman right now.
