Big fan that this car is actually being modified and used. I recently bought my 4th mx5, an NB2 s-vt with the mazdaspeed body kit and only 9k miles - well 8800 when I bought it - and I plan on modifying the hell out of it and driving it as much as the weather will let me.

Gorgeous Miata with tasteful mods. This was a real treat. It's a shame these never went into widescale production.

I really hope Mazda does a coupe version of the next gen miata. The mods needed are minimal and would obviously top the coupe market and track car market even more, since you wouldn't have to put a rollbar in it by default.

Great car and owner! I didn't know the coupe came only with the 1.6. Anyway it definitely revs higher than the european 1.6.

Pete stated in the video that although the version of his NB coupe has the 1.6, other versions of the NB coupe come with the 1.8.
