Bonus Tip: Effects -> Patcher -> Presets -> Youlean Humanizer Great video and to the point man. Thank you. One thing that we might admit is that expensive plugins can generate better, competitive and clean sounds :) Due to the quality. But those tips really really can make a difference. Keep bringing on...
You're really good at teaching and presenting. Informative, structured, and concise! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Looking forward to your beat making course!
Though I know this was most likely just a joke with the shade, but 3xOsc is actually very flexible and dope vst if you go in the channel settings, and add samples to it
Let it go man! I had the same debate with him, he hates 3xOsc :)) I love on the other hand. I always find a sound to fill in the blanks ( I have good Trance presets )
There are really good, high quality sounds in the stock plugins. Anyone who hasn't found them: load up one with the relevant preset bank on some MIDI (i.e. Pad MIDI requires pad presets) and just cycle through the various presets and mark/favourite the ones you like. This helps so much! the next step is to learn the plugin and how to tweak it etc but that alone will be really good practice and will give you loads of good sounds out the box for you to work with.
@@NavieD Just keeps variety tbh, that's important in beat battles or in my case just wanting to make your song sonically more interesting, I usually use it only in songs, I use it in beats pretty rarely tbh
Wow that actually works! The sound of the fire in my PC after cloning Sakura, Sytrus and 3xOSC 100xtimes seems so real and detailed, thanks Navie! (jk I had never seen it before and it seems legit, thanks for the god-tier tips my g)
A slightly more advanced way is to use modulation with Patcher and coloured notes. It's not very difficult and you get to choose how each notes sounds by recolouring it. :-) There's an Image-Line video on this.
So when I'm deciding what sound to make when using base fl studio, can i just use an organ or grand and use modulations to change and customize it to make a new custom sound??? This is the point I am stuck on sort of! Lol
Thanks for another one Navie. Good tips that are simple enough to execute. The 'select random notes' shortcut was one I didn't know, but I'll definitely be using that one.
awesome! i mostly use fl studio plugins and I'm starting to notice the sounds don't sound innovative. Makes my beat sound super beginner-Which I am lol
I have T Force Alpha synth ( almost 10 tears old free plugin that has generic Trance sounds of 12 presets ). Man that thing definitely is a killer in its area:) The vst may have a difference. It is for sure...
Hey, the chances of you seeing this comment are very slim, but I'll still try to ask you something. I started making beats a few days ago, and I enjoy making lofi beats the most. But I still don't really understand the "rules" of lofi. With rules I mean the things that have to be in the beat to make it a lofi beat. It would be amazing if you could respond to this comment and tell me what the "rules" are :). Keep on making videos! Much love from the Netherlands!
Hey buddy, I did a few videos on lofi (check out the lofi playlist on my channel). I think you should be able to find helpful information in those videos!
Let's say your house is on fire and you only have enough time to save one stock plugin. Which do you choose?
Sytrus
Lol imagine being on your computer trying to move a file to dropbox while you house is burning 😂
*soundgoodizer, the god SS+ tier legendary almighty plugin*
Sakura
Harmless

Thank you man! I try my best to explain things clearly and concisely

I refuse to acknowledge its existence!

Yeah 3x Osc is actually pretty fire.
That Plugin I use it as a sub bass every time.Just turn down knobs on the far right and left then bring it octaves down.Boom free quality subbass.
Great stuff again. Thank you Navie
Thank you Tomtom!

great video, I have been doing these things for a while, but thanks to this video I did get reminded how important modulation is tbh
Yeah sometimes I forget too how helpful it is to improve your sound

Modulate the Modulator
You have gone too far with this madness Ed
thank you

If the third party vst is a digital sound, you can most likely create it with enough time and effort
Ummm... What?
