Let's say your house is on fire and you only have enough time to save one stock plugin. Which do you choose?

Great video and to the point man. Thank you.
One thing that we might admit is that expensive plugins can generate better, competitive and clean sounds :) Due to the quality. But those tips really really can make a difference.

Though I know this was most likely just a joke with the shade, but 3xOsc is actually very flexible and dope vst if you go in the channel settings, and add samples to it

There are really good, high quality sounds in the stock plugins. Anyone who hasn't found them: load up one with the relevant preset bank on some MIDI (i.e. Pad MIDI requires pad presets) and just cycle through the various presets and mark/favourite the ones you like.
This helps so much! the next step is to learn the plugin and how to tweak it etc but that alone will be really good practice and will give you loads of good sounds out the box for you to work with.

A slightly more advanced way is to use modulation with Patcher and coloured notes.
It's not very difficult and you get to choose how each notes sounds by recolouring it.
    :-) There's an Image-Line video on this.

Hey, the chances of you seeing this comment are very slim, but I'll still try to ask you something. I started making beats a few days ago, and I enjoy making lofi beats the most. But I still don't really understand the "rules" of lofi. With rules I mean the things that have to be in the beat to make it a lofi beat. It would be amazing if you could respond to this comment and tell me what the "rules" are :). Keep on making videos! Much love from the Netherlands!
