  • I demonstrate how to pitch the Nortent Gamme 8 PC by myself in the winter. I do it in just under 20 minutes and with lessons learned could easily shave a few minutes off of that time.
Because the black poles are so difficult to get into their cups, I have cut off about 2 inches from each. Here's the video where I did that:

Here's the Nortent video on putting up the tent by a tall guy in the hot summer who's done it a million times :

At first I get the placement of the red poles wrong. They should always be on the outside of any black pole that it comes near to.
When putting in the temporary stakes make sure that there's not something blocking them like a paving stone.

Thanks for that video. I live in Montana and bought same tent. We set it up once. We squabbled and managed to get it done. We spent one night in the yard and I used my Planar diesel heater. I was to lazy to put my wood stove in at the time. It was very nice comfortable night. The polycotton fabric makes for little condensation. The dry heat from wood and diesel heater is so nice. The buddy heaters throw off condensation so Ill keep those for ice fishing.

Thanks for sharing! I’m looking at a Gamme 6PC and videos like yours help more than you think! Be well and stay safe. Enjoy your tent!

@@ericstoever9577 hi, I'm winter camping now (video soon) and the Gamme 8 was fairly easy to set up. I don't know if the black poles on the 6 are as stressed as the 8. You may consider shortening them slightly.
