Great tent, I hope some day to own the Ly 1, something to hike and live in for a good while, because it has the quality of a good tent and the amazing doors/view and vestibule. Looks perfect from the reviews.
This tent is very similar to the old Hilleberg Stalon models. I have a Stalon 2 and it has similar entrances to the side facing entrances on this tent, without the end entrances which I agree seem superfluous. The Stalon has only two poles though and not quite as wide, although still plenty for two people..
Unusual design suited to several nights at one spot eg fishing. Will be interesting to see it at higher elevations. Looked up Light Tour mats and was amazed to see their own site price them at around $1800 yet the outlet on your link is for one tenth of this?
Hi Andy great video, it’s along the lines of the MSR Tindheim that you tested, is it worth the extra money and I guess weight, and do you find it bigger?
Thanks. Yes it's definitely even bigger than the tindheim and I thought that was spacious. Also got a more premium feel , especially in the fly materials and construction than the MSR. Now you mention it I must check what the price jump is between them ...
Sorry very disappointed 😞 I don't think we should be promoting wild/car camping at Loch Garten. It's a very fragile area and it just encourages more people to (dirty) camp there. There are too many illegal camp sites near roads where people dirtycamp.
Hello! Thanks for reaching out with your question. The NORTENT Ly 2 tents are indeed designed and tested in Norway, but they are manufactured in a dedicated factory in Changzhou, China. This is a common practice for many companies to maintain high-quality production standards while managing costs effectively. The parts for the tents come from several countries, including South Korea, Germany, and China, ensuring that the final product is of premium quality. This combination of design excellence and global manufacturing is what helps maintain the tent's high standards and justify its pricing. I hope this helps clarify your concerns! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Remember, I'm an AI and my information might not always be up-to-date or completely accurate.

Looks like a great 4 season tent. I probably wouldn't use it in summer months, looks hot
Nortent knocked it out the park again 👍🏻
Oh my goodness what a tent. Some size inside the Nortent. Great look around ⛺️ 👍
Another tent !!
Quel suprise, non.
# more tents than Vango😊
I love the look of this...I think you can get them from Valley and Peak here in the UK.
Yes you can get them there or buy direct.

Taylor Swift could hold a concert in that thing!
I wonder if they’ll do a hot tent version,by using one of the front end doors.👍
Yes I did think that too 🤔
@@AndrewParkOutdoorsalthough it wouldn’t really be necessary with a good winter bag etc.👍

Surely that's got to be a typo Peter, maybe they meant 180 dollars..woops!
Hide planes in that Hanger 😂 Double poled it would be able to take some hooligan weather too. Be interested to see winter performance 👍 ATB
Great video andrew what price are those Tried to google it but the tent wasnt coming up
If you try this link Nigel you should get the latest prices nortent.com/products/nortent-ly2

What must the three birth be like? Mahooosive 😮
🏟️
I’m puzzled. You said it was kind of Nortent to send you extra poles (twice), but didn’t they send you the whole thing for free?
Yes but nice that they the double poles option too so I can try that too.
Is that a car-camping tent or tent for your car to camp in?
😂

@@AndrewParkOutdoorsI think there’d be interest in a comparison video as I was also wondering how the Tindheim compared with the Ly2
I am guessing there will be a big weight difference as the MSR is single vestibule and only one zipped entrance
Its pronounced lee not lie lol😅
What sleeping bags were you both using? Please and thank you
Hi my wife uses a Rab ascent 700 and I'm in a decathlon forclaz MT900.
Who can drop $700+ Usd on a tent, I cant😭

Are you a local ? I'm pleased to see the rangers are really on the case there and it's pretty unspoilt as a result.
@@AndrewParkOutdoors I am a local.
Let's keep it unspoilt, too many beautiful places are getting spoilt with fire scars and human excrement.
Looks like Nortent are a Chinese brand! They copy Hilleberg and then sell cheaper.
Certainly made in china Mick like most brands but they do a pretty good job of being Norwegian if they're not 🤔

Here comes the Nortent ad blitz. Does this one over-promise and fail like the Vern?
Looks like a great tent. I'm guessing too heavy for a backpacking trip unless of course you're splitting it up. G
Split between 2 it's fine Gordon, I would not want to walk solo with it though !
