That soundboks 2 really acts strange! I had one some months ago, used it at max volume (Spotify high setting, wavelet preamp +5db) no problem's at all. Well i could smell the amp getting hot, but it didnt turn off at least. Sold it and got a 1000, now getting a 310 today
On paper the 1000 is the better performing speaker. In America the 1000 is now $1300 and the 710 is $800, so a pretty big $500 price difference. If they are similarly priced where you live, the 1000 would be the better buy, IMO.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews 500$ is a pretty big difference, I recently got the 1000 for 870€, and even if here in Italy the 710 is not available yet it will probably cost 800€ like in Germany, soo yeah; I hope I didn't make the wrong choice lol. Nice vid as always btw ()

Some Soundboks 3 have the same problem as your SB2, it turns off at maximum volume, certainly because of the cheap amp. Too bad partybox 710 doesn't have a battery, because that would be a serious competition to the Soundboks
Im a DJ and use 2 x JBL 310 for outdoor partys. I need electric to my Pioneer decks and mixer anyway. A generator is the way to go if asking me. I will upgrade this summer and buy 2 x JBL 1000. I agree that it would be cool if the 710 had bettery. But you wont be able to play loud for more then 3-4 hours.
Wow I had no idea the SB had that problem shutting down like that....that's not good....thanks for showing that....I would never have it full volume but it sounds like it would burn out the Amp having that issue.....any thoughts on diamondboxx?
Might be a little late but I own a soundboks 3 and love it. Just ordered a diamondboxx sub8.2 to go with it. Both are good brands, just depends what you are looking for

No battery but with that much power and bass I can't imagine how heavy it would be with a battery. That thing is HEAVY! I lugged it up and down the stairs and it's not easy.
The Soundboks 2 doesn't play louder plugged in like say the Partybox 310. In fact, Soundboks specifically states not to use the speaker plugged in if played at higher volume levels. The power/charging brick of the Soundboks 2 can't handle the load.

Soundboks seems to have a lot of issues with their speakers. I guess that's what happens when you are a small company trying to mass produce products.

Interestingly enough, the 1000 has a power consumption of 150w, while the new, smaller 710 has a power consumption of 160w.

I'm not all that impressed with the Soundboks 2 since I've had it for the past few months. If I had it to do over again I probably wouldn't get it.

Sound boks has a limiter processor. It doesn't sound bad at all. I like Jbl because of its reputation. It's also sounds great.
JBL can do bass so much better.

Couldn't really "feel it", like in my chest from that far away outdoors. Definitely hear it, however.
