This is just absolutely fantastic footage. This kind of music is timeless and will last forever. People scream "Freebird" when you say Skynyrd, but there was so much more to their music than just that one great ballad. This is one of those overlooked songs, that is deeper than the a bottomless pit. It says more to the real Skynyrd way of life, and tells a great story about their outlook and forward thinking. Rock On my Brothers, you live forever in our hearts.....
I believe Skynyrd is the greatest band of all time. Go back and listen to their songs. I bet you know 20 of their songs that you can sing along with. Great front man. 3 killer guitar Gods, and a kick ass band. Brilliant.
hey- I'm now 51 yrs old and I first heard this when i was 14... i could not stop playing it over and over. I saw them the show before the big plane crash here in Fla. i love all their music but this one has always meant something special.....
Gary Rossington and Ed King! Oh yeah....startin' to get back to their original old self! Gary is the only original left in the band, but their music and their legacy will live on forever!
seen them do this in 94, less than 50' from the stage...almost as good as when i seen them in the 70's...in some ways maybe better. I remember more of this one...
This is Skynyrd. Because Skynyrd is more than a band. When that plan belly hit that mississippi mud. it turned Skynyrd into more than just a band. It turned them into LEGENDS. in the few short years they left a legacy than can never be filled. But ronnies little bro took th reins where NOBODY in the world could have on that grea tday at the charlie daniels jam and ran with it. It's a tamer version of something so great that the lord himself wanted it, and is keeping it for himself.
This tune, I Ain't The One and Was I Right Or Wrong are my top 3 tunes by Skynyrd! Thanks for putting this on. To me, Skynyrd really stopped Oct. 30, '77 and I loved their music, but it's great seeing and hearing their music continue with other new members.
Too many lives they've spent across the ocean Too much money been spent upon the moon Well, until they make it right I hope they never sleep at night They better make some changes And do it soon
I know and knew (Rest in Peace) members and former members of this legendary band....and the original seven member line up was shorter than a year and half....Ronnie is quoted as stating " ...and as for talent....my 'lil (Donnie, 38 Special) brother can play any instrument he touches and the runt (Johnnie, current lead singer) has a better singing voice than I'll ever have..." what the band lost in that Georgia Florida swamp that day was the driving force and lyricist of the band...Ronnie (Rest in Peace)
hot dang I swear this cut and Swamp Music may be two of the greatest songs ever written in any genre ever, great guitar work, lyrics, melodies, beat, got it all...man I miss Ronnie, Sissy, Ed, Steve, Allan, and all the Swampettes, Roadies, Managers, I miss em all, fuggen airplanes this music epitomizes the south and her southern music, HOT DANG! listen to those two songs then tell me you don't wanna grab the dog fishin' poles and jump in the truck and go hit the clay banks toss a line out or two, with an ice cold beer in hand, listen to some skynyrd... man "go head pretty momma just take your city hike" ua-cam.com/video/VeiNGxQW_yU/v-deo.html
Just take a nice stroll through Washington DC and the obvious actions of the incompetence and ignorance of our government will LET YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHATS GOING ON!
"There are "things goin' on" that you don't know." By Lynyrd Skynyrd Propaganda is “Think of the mainstream media as a great stage on which government can play.”
I disagree, depends on your attitude, I guess theres not many examples but bands like Iron maiden (bands with more than one guitarist) dont have this mentality. Every guitarist has his style, its a matter of preference.
You just showed your ignorance. 3 of the orginal members . Leon Wilkeson Ed King go back to beginning and Johnny is Ronnies brother. Your the only one Ronnie would havevslapped
@@thomasking8350 he's right.....Ronnie slapped the shit out of Ed King which is why Ed quit the band to begin with........agree Ronnie would enjoy this, but he would also slap the shit out of everybody.

Ed King. Hell Yeah!

Skynyrd A+ at the crossroads and the universe forevermore ❤
God bless Ed & Gary!
Gary Rossington and Ed King! Oh yeah....startin' to get back to their original old self! Gary is the only original left in the band, but their music and their legacy will live on forever!

Johnny really sounds like his big brother Ronnie here.

The plane crashed in McComb, Mississippi in a wooded, swampy area.
😍
Funky Flat top 👏

Love this song **
Pretty good tribute band
Tribute band?
Ed King, Gary Rossington and Leon Wikeson were the real deal, not a tribute band.
WOW MY FAV. CAN U DIG!!!!!!!!!!!
this is agreat album. recorded in atlanta.the name is endangerd species.
This is a good'en
Just take a nice stroll through Washington DC and the obvious actions of the incompetence and ignorance of our government will LET YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHATS GOING ON!
it was from a vhs tape called "a 100 minutes with lynyrd skynyrd"
Can you buy this and if so where? Thanks for posting this GOOD STUFF!!!
I don't think they are the best band ever. They are a very good band all the same. I like them..
@apathyphd420 i got the vhs tape from a flea market in athens, greece..
Having been to over 20 Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts, performing acoustic versions of their songs, aren't really all that... "rare."
I don't think you will find it anywhere on the internet to order. My copy is not original, I bought it from a fleamarket in Greece
Ed played it Greasey
sounds just like the way i play it
Awesome but I cannot watch Skynyrd without Ronnie.....
Yeah I know, he’s no Ronnie, far from it
i dont care how old he is GARY ROSSINGTON is still the man.
Johnny does a good job. But as with any younger brother, the original is still the best. Call me Johhny.
Sure a lot of electrical cords for acoustic?
"There are "things goin' on" that you don't know." By Lynyrd Skynyrd

If its not skynyrd who is?
That's.southern.pickim

Sorry but I cant help but think that Ronnie would slap the shit outta these guys.
You just showed your ignorance. 3 of the orginal members . Leon Wilkeson Ed King go back to beginning and Johnny is Ronnies brother. Your the only one Ronnie would havevslapped
Ronnie would love that his music lives on.He absolutely would be proud of his brother and his friends
And Gary Rossington co wrote this song with Ronnie Van Zant. Off their first album. Ben listening since then.

I dedicate this song to Duck Dynasty
'Things Goin On' elections in USA yesterday, this song hits it so! Awesome.
