Anything Skynard does in my book is incredible! Love my boys! And since I recently became a grateful recovering alcoholic (whiskey) this hits the nail on the head!
Had the honor of being back stage with these guys on the Last Rebel tour in PA while we were touring ourselves opening for Molly Hatchet on a Budweiser promo. Great down to earth guys. My son has my vest they signed hanging on his wall.
I think Johnny is singing so much like Ronnie these days at first you could see in his eyes and tell he was scared .But now he is relaxed and singing really good LONG LIVE LYNYRDSKYNYRD
It was released in a vhs tape called "100 minutes with Lynyrd Skynyrd". Half the tape was the acoustic performance and the other half an electric. I don't know if they're both from the same concert.
@nunswiththeshotgun - You're right - I can't remember posting my original comment but looking back it certainly comes across as pretty short-sighted. There's a fine line between using and abusing that's for sure. Poweful and kick-ass song in any case - love that slide guitar
@stupidvampiretwat Everyones got an addiction of sorts.some can beat it,some cant.drugs,alcolhol,money,love,whatever.Some are just more destuctive.im midway thru mine.
This is a Skynyrd song, right, written by the band??? So why is this the ONLY version I know of this song. I admit that I I didn't really care for the band after Ed King was cut out of the band, but this is better than most of the crud they wrote after Ronnie died so why wasn't this song played more? I can't figure this band out, nothing but the same old classics.
It was originally released on there "Endangered Species" unplugged cd. So that's where you can not only find this song, but all the other songs on the cd are also unplugged. Just thought Id let ya know.
Who are these people who call themselves LynYrd SkYnrD? Leopard print belongs on Lady GaGa, not on any self respecting Southern band. Johnnie should start his own band and stop being a cover 'artist.'
