I don’t have a security light nor a key fob… just a transponder key… how the heck do I program that? My center area looks a little different, hours / clock thing is not in the middle it’s to the left with both vents on right… I tried regardless the method but didn’t work… any ideas ?
Worked for 2000 4runner with no "security" light on my dash
Can you do this with the valet? key it’s the only key I have can I use the valet key to program a new key fob?
Sigh. I have done this 5 times and nothing. I think I got a bad transponder key good video tho

What if I order another ignition lock cylinder that comes with its own transponder key?

You just saved my ass dude! Your instructions worked like a charm for my 2000 T4R LTD. My local Ace Hardware had the transponder key in stock and cut it to match OEM but the guy couldn't get it programmed, thought there was something wrong with the new key's chip and said I could just keep it or else the price was $79.99. I came across your video and followed your instructions and BAM!!! The key works and the truck starts. I can't thank you enough man!!!
