Aww mate what you said re your son really resonates with me . I have 2 daughters who I haven’t seen in 3 years. This was after having court order and several times at family court . Had a massive impact on my health . It has absolutely broken my heart and does every single day. Classic case of parental alienation 😢

nope even thats just about money and politicians agree majority are all for lining their own pockets grrrr thanks for the vid , enjoyable as always, though very sad about your son, heres hoping some day in the not to distant future a bond can be forged. Sadly ive given up on ever connecting with my daughter. like you i went court got access but couldnt force the access eventually after 4 years of back and firth to court and getting no where i moved away from the area. Shes now in her late 30s with 2 daughters under 9. But im ok with simple pleasure which include watching you and your occasional rants and you and Helen sharing the memories that you make together on youtube. Sorry for droning on,and being two months behind. im still randomly watching your vids just a pity they are not numbered so i could watch them in sequence .

I've seen people park in disable spaces right outside the gym (they are not disabled), then go inside and get straight onto the treadmill.
Why not just park 10 yards away, and walk across the car park?

That reminded me of me and my mate where riding our motorbikes up the dales and a man had closed a road off with his car I asked him what was wrong he said there's been a motorcycle accident and the lads laying in the road I said how long his he 17 foot , so we rode through, he was just laid there in the road , I said what's wrong with y , he said nothing, I said we'll get up then 😁😎

People have become cruel, judgemental, petty and easily envious of the lives and success of others . Laziness and anger abound. We emigrated , years ago, and it's the best thing we ever did. James- about your son- 19 is very young, give him time. Keep your heart open & if possible, let him know you're open to connecting whenever he's ready. He will get it, even if it's not obvious or takes time. ❤

Teenage years are so confusing. The human brain doesn't fully mature until the mid 20's . He will be fine and knows you love him. Keep the door open, which I'm sure you will. Boys take longer , to mature, than girls

100% with you on the gym thing. Young lads in my gym spend more time looking in the mirror or on their phones than working out, does my head in, that and the entitled that load up machines and dont unload when finished 😡
And the people who hog machines. I arrived at 06.30 and someone was on the stairclimber. I left the gym floor at 07.35 and they were still on it. There are two stairclimbers, but one is out of action.
WOW! I don`t think i have ever sat and watched such a long video as this just listening to a random bloke go on about nothing in particular. The fact is, i found it engrossing, rather like a ``stand-up`` comedian with a serious side. As for LYNX AFRICA, i`m not really a fan (personal choice) ha ha. Talking about quotes, here`s one that i fully experienced a few years back. IF YOU NEED TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH YOU LOVE SOMEBODY, THEN DO NOT JUDGE BY HOW YOU FEEL WHEN YOU ARE TOGETHER BUT JUDGE BY HOW YOU FEEL WHEN YOU ARE APART. None of us knows how much we will miss someone until that someone is no longer there. So enjoyable to spend nearly one and a half hours with you James and i feel an affinity with you because your values and views on life are very similar to mine so keep up this great entertainment and see you in the next one.

Your school reports sound better than mine. I hated school, although I did pretty well, my geography teacher wrote "Sets himself a low standard and fails to achieve it". Still proud of that one and I got a C, which was my lowest grade, so up yours Mr Irwin 🤣

Hey James & Helen, I fell across your channel a couple of months ago and I love your content (I subscribed today btw!). So I thought I'd drop you a message. Just really like your Yorkshire straight talking and honesty - although I'm a bit conflicted with my Mum being from Yorkshire and my Dad being from Lancashire. Mum always wins! I was born in Cheshire (not posh Cheshire) so I'm somewhere in-between. Keep it up. Big love.

I used to laugh at the Gymshark brigade posing in the gym before I moved to Thailand. Now I didn’t see it at all. But then again, I’m not training in a touristy area, I’m 250km inland at a mostly Muay Thai gym, but they have a power rack, a good bar and some plates so I get my dead’s & squats done. Great video.

If you get contact lenses, I'd say get the daily disposable ones. Sterilising is a pain literally if you get an infection or an ulcer. I stopped using them .

Lynx Africa 😅. Firstly, apologies, we passed each other on a Bank Hols Sunday a few weeks ago, you walked into Boyes in Brid, as I walked out. I would have said hello but you’d moved on before I realised it was you. To be fair you didn’t seem to be filming, more following parents around Bridlington on a VERY warm and busy bank holiday! Anyway I really like your content and your Barnsley references. I’m from the other side of the Pennines but am now on my second stint living in that fine South Yorkshire Republic. Your words around your relationship and family experiences resonate with me and I’m sure many others. Stoicism - not really considered this philosophy before but as I retired recently to train as a counsellor I will certainly be looking into the thoughts of Marcus Aurelius as part of an assignment in the near future 😁👍. Anyway, thanks to you and Helen for the entertainment and information you provide on your travels and I hope the geese didn’t disturb you too much 🙉 !

When I stopped going to my Church, an evangelical one, I was asked of cause by others in the Church why ?. My basic answer was that I had never met so many racist, homophobic self righteous people in my life in that church and could not be around them. I am a Christian but do not care or condemn others of other religious beliefs or sexual orientation. Cannot stand being around those type of people.
As a Christian, I fully agree !!. Many of our Christian friends have abandoned the Churches, because of the negative behaviour and beliefs that bring shame to us. We still believe, wholeheartedly in Jesus. We always will, but that is more reason not to attend these Churches. They give us all a bad name! We tend to meet at each others homes , to worship, and share laughs and meals. Jesus had no bias, neither should we
Absolutely, as a Christian friend said to me, " I would guess if Jesus walked into a Church today he would probably be turning over the tables as he did to the tax collectors in the temple" . Meeting for a meal on Sunday with a few Christian Friends is what has given me faith again. No judgments of others, no nasty words, just love and respect all.

Lynx Africa. Keep on keeping it real James. I love listening to life stories. It’s a journey. Me and partner have been through very similar things. Kids struggles with exes. Variety of jobs. I was having a bit of a panic about our soon house move and mort for next 22 yrs at 44. My partner said “ what you worrying for , we ain’t gonna be here in 40 years” I’m normally very positive but we are getting older.
I love the stoicism quotes. My partners a mental health nurse and said these quotes would be good to pass on.
Also we are born again Christians at Pentecostal church your welcome to come along when at a loose end one Sunday The pastor has a massive utube following worldwide.

What I really like is your honesty about all the bollocks you've dropped. We've all been there in different ways and if we haven't then we've been hiding in a hole or are just consumed by denial. My first van was a Bedford with 3 forward gears in the 1970s. I put a mattress in the back with a camping stove and called it a camper long before such things were fashionable. Became a wage slave with children but now retired so not as many people I have to say please and thank you to. Still have a van but don't live in it. If you ever find yourself in the dales around Ingleton and fancy a night off or just a shower then drop me a line. And remember , ranting is the best therapy money can't buy. And by the way , I'm from Wakefield , the spiritual and philosophical centre of Yorkshire. And finally, my wife says I'm full of shit.
I’m with Helen, don’t do politics or religion. We get enough of that in our everyday lives and I certainly use UA-cam as a bit of escapism. Plus that sort of things will always bring all the looneys out of the woodwork 😂 (Lynx Africa 😉)
My parents disowned my family haventba clue why they missed out on 3 wonderful grandchildren and 6 awsom great grandkids. Thankfully my in laws made up for my family. RIP Ron and Doreen thank you for all your love and support

I thought this bvlog was about visiting different places and not about you personally except we would get to know you as a bvlogga. Why does it matter if you’ve got hair or not or what you look like? It all started off going around places with Beck, then she started getting looney…….why did you change a winning formula? I’ll still watch just hope you just get on with why we watched in the first place. Now you’re doing your threats to deal with things you are against so it’s getting more political really. We came for a break from the crazy world and want a lullaby like vlog not hard rock campaign lol.
1 hour 5 mins: does the Yorkshire accent change each town/city? Yes absolutely. I went to Uni in Yorkshire and worked in a building society every Saturday and I learnt quickly how the accent was ever so slightly different for each town the person came from. In the end, I could tell which town they lived without looking on their account pass book.

Love your videos and me and you have very similar personalities. Only thing we conflict on is the disabled parking. Every gobshite who got a bad back has a blue badge. Pretty much old age means you’re disabled now. Most car parks have been designed you can’t even get out your car door without someone damaging your car. Anyway keep up the rants and enjoy the adventures 😉
When i divorced my 1st husband . He got custody of my son .. who was 10 at the time . Court said he can live with who he likes. It was a horrible time . At one point when i was pregnant with my now 19 year old son. My older 3 children all lived with my ex. But you get through it and its all great now . All adults now. My 2nd daughter i didnt speak to her for years . She worked abroad. But now we chat on whatsapp and even had a couple of days away in Edinburgh together ❤

God help us when we get older and rely on the younger generations. Undue influence is a terrible poison, people don't realise how their behaviour will impact them later in life. sorry to hear about your circumstances with your son. keep doing the Video's much enjoyable. I don't drink and have never been in so many pubs as I have with you an Helen. The places you seem to like are the places where people have BIG Personalities.
