Excellent video and very helpful. Prior to changing the clutch pump I took the cover off the opposite side and replaced the gasket and filter then put new oil in.💰💰💰. Hoping it was perhaps low on oil but the Service Rear Axle light still came on. I purchased a new one and proceeded to change the pump and top off the oil. I was able to take the 2 pins out of the new connector and use the original pins from the difficult to get at harness. (I made a little pin tool and it worked slick as heck) Thanks for the heads up. It appears to be working and the light hasn’t came on yet . 🤞
Replace the filter is important did a great job get part’s from rock auto
Thank you for your video just got my clutch pump replaced and corrected service message thank you so much it was 350 for labor and 680$ for the part and 109 dollars for clutch pump oil little under 1,100$ total and now peace of mind
You are very welcome! Thanks for sharing your experience! Did you buy EOM pump?
Dude! Thank you very much! I repaired my car with 20% of a $140 bottle of fluid. lol Was just low in my case, but I did a Flush as best I could Using a small hand pump to siphon and fill. With this video gave me all the information I needed thank you!
Happy to help!
Thank you for the video! I plan to tackle this job as well since GM quoted me $1500 for a pump Replacement, that didn’t include a new filter or seal. My question is have you had good luck with the Dorman pump versus OEM? Have you always used Dorman products when available? Any issues with them? I would hate to go through all this and have the Dorman pump fail or not work correctly. Dorman pump is $200 found OEM GM one for $382. Looking forward to your input, thanks again for the great video!
You're very welcome! I have never had a problem with Dorman parts. This pump was installed a few months ago and still works as it supposed to. Please let me know how it goes.
I notice \ sense zero issues with how the vehicle drives yet I get this error from time to time. My mechanic said I shouldn't change the axle fluid since it will only cause troubles and I should leave it be. What`s your take on this?
Sounds a bit ridiculous. Having the issues you described, I would make sure your clutch fluid level is good as well as diff fluid level. Changing fluid will not have any negative impact.
Do you know if the MX808S-TS diagnostic tool is capable of reading issues with the transfer case solenoid valve DTC C0402 61?
I don't know for sure, but it should.
I replaced the pump in my wife's 2010 and the light still comes on. Can't figure out why lol
That sucks. Do you know which code is causing the light?
Great video buddy. Good job........
Thanks!
ARe you a mechanic I have the same issue with my 2010 SRX looking to get it fixed are you in the GTA?
Unfortunately I am not even close to GTA, hope you find a good mechanic in your area.
I'm having the same issues with my Srx do you work on others car.
I still need help with my car
@@normalorraine3340 sorry to hear. How can I help?
How did u get the plug to go in am about to drop that rear tomorrow morning cause it’s pissing me off and cold winter
Just pushed it hard, not ideal, almost broke it. Would recommend just splicing wireless to keep old connector
@@justdoityourselfI just broke the locking tab got metal plumbing glue and connected with it.
@@God-rw4xp if it works ot works. That is very inconvenient spot.
It is probably too late now for this. I struggle with it too but found easy way to do it. At the back of that plug is "L" shaped boot (or sleeve) which is made of plastic in the form of live hinge, so it can be split open and removed like clam shell. Without it it is easy to plug in. Afterwards I even managed to put that boot back were it was.
@makfive343 that's great find! Thanks for sharing!
Great video buddy very very informative.....
Thanks!
I do have this problem, rear wheels not driving, and just started to work on it. Had measured motor's resistance and it reads: 2 ohms. Not sure if it is still good or not?
2 is way too low for this size of the motor.
Thanks. I got "expensive" oil from the dealer today and will order the motor assembly tomorrow.@@justdoityourself
Good luck with your project!
I have installed new clutch pump which was easy except for cable install (as per video). Unfortunately this not solve the problem. Rear wheels still not driving. Checked fuses but they look OK. Car drives quite normal, no suspicious noises just FWD only. I will keep on trying. @@justdoityourself
@makfive343 that really sucks. Are you getting any codes? Good luck and please let me know how it goes.
What model of Autel scanner is that
