    I watch these videos over and over, and never get tired of them. I wish there was a group like your's in my area of Tennessee. Unfortunately with the political climate around here they closed the public range and private ones cost more than I can afford, and indoor ranges don't allow smoke poles. So you guys are blessed, don't ever stop.👍🇺🇸

      Those people are even in TENNESSEE?!!! I thought that was a gun friendly state!

      We face a similar situation in Washington state. The Bureau of Land Management recently shut down a popular public shooting area with zero notice. Sadly, nobody seems to care enough to do anything about it.

      Thanks friend! Try to start a club and contact land owners who may allow it. All of our shoots are on private land mostly, other than a few public land rendezvous. Keep trying.

      Try some private land owners and make a club.

    Super glad to have my plack powder guns. A right I will NEVER abuse! It's awesome seeing historical fire arms and how they have evolved threwout time. I hope to own at least 1 original flint lock one day. I currently own modern black powder guns i bought for hunting primarily. target practice alone with them is a huge thrill. Not to mention ammunition goes by much slower with black powder. Witch makes a day at the range even better.

    I love your editing and music. It made me imagine about the Russian trappers in Alaska.

    Nothing like a flintlock rifle. My first gun was a Thompson Center flintlock "Hawken". That wire haired pointing griffin is awesome. Too bad you had to turn off comments because of the damn trolls. Beautiful working dog.

      Next time you're in this neck of the woods, come on out for some coffee, whatever is stewing in the dutch ovens and throw some lead with us.

    Un video excelente. Con armas muy bien hechas y alguna réplica de fábrica como el Lyman Great Plains rifle.

      ha ha. These are so fun - you wait. This will sweep the nation one day. IT is incredible. It's so soothing, it's like yoga for gun guys. Total zen.

      Time has caught up with me, my Internet Brother. I have precious days left to gather old friends around a camp fire and relax. Life is nothing more than work and recovery in bed on weekends. My body is diseased and my ears ring constantly. I needed a Suppressor many moon's ago. When I watch a vid like this, i see the old grey haired men doing what men should do. And I know that i don't have the strength to play any more. I haven't given up, or anything like that. I just don't have the power anymore.

    What calibre is most of the rifles used? What is a long distance shot still thought of as still able to be precision? Very nice video and like BLK.RFL.DIV said, the music was appropriate for this video.

    • @FolkFirearmsCollective
      @FolkFirearmsCollective  7 років тому +5

      The smallest this day was a .36 cal rifle. One was a .45, a few .50 and .54 rifles as well. The largest this day was a Smooth bore fowler throwing a 16 ga. ball (.68 cal ball). Shots out to a hundred on some steel plates happen. Some of these rifles in the right hands will out group a modern tactical setup. These ol boys can shoot.

    Love the video. Can you guys do a video on the outfits you guys wear. I wanted to know specifically what the white anorak is with the black stripe. At 0:38 two guys can be seen.

    Are y'all completely crazy? This is time to be in a warm shop building a new and prettier rock lock front loader with all your friends watching, sipping adult beverages and giving you unneeded advise. Really guys!

      We shoot year round, damn the weather. Besides., I don't allow people in my shop when I'm building guns.
