    I think the point of the show is not a "fantastical magical adventure" but a "fantastical magical prison where people are forced to do stuff because otherwise they go crazy or get very bored"
    The reason why nothing actually happen is because nothing actually happen. Probably a similar adventure happen over and over and over again with some wacky variation.
    That's why Zooble is more pissed than scared and Jax doesn't take anything seriously (only escaping from Kaufmo). Probably they are not a team, just some random guy stucked there.

    • @Snt1_
      @Snt1_ 11 місяців тому +45

      Thats extremely true. The way they all describe the adventures is not in a "Wow, ao fun, I wanna do it" way, its in a "well, nothing better we can do" way.

      I feel like there is a legit critique in here: It's hard to engage with a story when none of the characters will. If all of the characters are apathetic and disengaged, that's gonna rub off on the audience. To paraphrase another reviewer, "How am I supposed to take the story seriously when none of the characters do?"
      I think this is the reason why I came out of the pilot only really enjoying Caine and Pomni as characters: They're the only ones who match the energy of the setting and, albeit in different ways, take the world and events seriously.

      @@stuarthutzler6670I did enjoy the story, but only a half or two thirds of it.
      The characters (besides Gangle who was meh) I liked a lot but the story of Abstracted Kaufmo, the Exit door, and Pomni's intro to the circus/decent into madness is what's compelling.

      @@stuarthutzler6670 None of the characters take the adventures seriously because they've presumably gone through them time and time again. This is because the A-plot adventure of finding Kaufmo was the focus of the episode, and they took it seriously. B-plot was them doing the set up adventure, which was not treated which as much direness or depth because it was gloinks.

      ETA: I think the pilot fulfilled its job at getting us hooked into it. We can't expect too much from just 25 minutes of footage, and there's no way that you can have a season's worth of depth and development packed into 25 minutes.

      Yeah it succeeds in comedy and entertainment, but advertises itself as subtle horror. This is where the problem partially lies.
      It tries to make it seem like a horrific existence deep down, but forgets to give us a reason to even care. The characters have no background, they have no depth to their personalities, and they have no meaningful relationships with eachother. Without any of that, we care as much for their well being as we do the unnamed worker drones in murder drones.

    I actually love Jax precisely for the flaws you mentioned, because what we got from him was at times a bit one-note and fatiguing, and like he is being forced too much as the lovable fan favourite. It might make him less interesting for us but it is by far the healthiest coping mechanism of any of the characters (and yes all of their personalities are essentially that. Kaufmo abstracted when his funny guy schtick didn't work, Kinger is perma- disassociating, Gangle is depressed but hides behind a facade, and Ragatha tries to sell cheer but clearly thinks way too much of the Exit, and I would bet she's the next to go. But I digress.)
    The ending of the pilot shows that the fate worse than death is very close all the time, and if you are to survive you don't even have the luxury of going insane, or isolating into yourself. You have to accept the new reality, *and you have to play along.* And Jax has unashamedly become one with the rules of this wacky world. He is carefree and confident in a world he knows can't hurt him. He acknowledges the gang is trapped forever but completely nonchalantly, as one would say the sky is blue. He is self-centered and chronically bored and doesn't bother at all with the bigger picture; "I'm fine with whatever, as long as I get to see funny things happen to people." Everything that happens has no consequences, their whole existence is a vessel for comedy, and he plays his part to that to a fault. He really only exists for the right here, right now, to the point where he has transcended even the daily(?) games meant to entertain then, and just makes up his own shenanigans on the spot. He doesn't question the theme song deal, or how it got interrupted, despite not even having an audience. It's just what they do now.
    In short, what makes Jax one-dimensional and unremarkable in your opinion is the fact that he has surrendered his humanity and made himself into a perfect model of the funny lazy guy archetype most shows have (and who gets to be the fan favourite, which probably helps his chances), and in the current status quo he is guaranteed to outlast everyone else. On the other hand, were he to return to reality now chances are he couldn't survive. Assuming the long-term goal *is* for the gang to escape, I bet Pomni's big role in his character arc will be to help him regain said humanity, and convince him to sacrifice his self-preservation for something bigger.

      His laid back attitude could be from him being "stuck here for years." Usually when something been "for years" it's at least 10. And Jax is canonically 22. So being stuck for 10 (or more ) years, means he came to the circus no older than 12. 18:31 do NOT dare diss that fidgeting shot, it is VERY important in foreshadowing the mystery of the exit doors and characterizing the nerves-ball of "I'm-holding-this-place-together-with-duct-tape-and-a-dream" that is Caine.

  • @GPantazis
    @GPantazis 11 місяців тому +119

    On the other hand I feel like the awkwardness in the pace, especially every time Caine is on screen, is 100% intentional and is actually perfect for drawing deep discomfort out of surface level "haha wacky" moments. The "why didn't anybody tell me" bit, for example, would not have landed at all if it was paced "properly", because that would be the show telling us we are supposed to laugh at the very serious situation on screen.
    Similarly to the Gloinks subplot, I actually agree that it flopped and I didn't enjoy it at all, but on some level I believe it was also made to be basic and uninspired and have the main characters not at all invested into it by design. It just went too far with it.

    The "DIGITAL HALLUCINATIONS!" *long silence* (line was meant to show Caine trying to gaslight Pomni (and _us_ .)
    "WhY diDn't AnYbOdY _TELL_ mE?" *goofy face with long silence* Some say it's also meant to be funny, but the silence is the realization Caine was lying: not just about an exit, but of his "all seeing eyes" (as long as they weren't in the Void.) So either Caine's lying and doesn't have all seeing eyes, or he _does_ , and ignored abstracted Kaufmo (who was never in the Void.)

  • @matthewmatthew981
    @matthewmatthew981 11 місяців тому +69

    Okay here's a thought;
    The premise of the show is that this woman is spontaneously ripped out of her reality and identity and dropped into the digital circus, and the deadly insanity she inches closer towards comes from the existential trauma of how she's been ripped from her reality.
    However, we also know that every other human character has experienced the same thing.
    When the whole conflict of the premise is for characters to desperately hold onto their humanity, do we really need for every character to meticulously unpack their version of what that humanity IS? In the PILOT episode?
    I think not, I think giving the basic gists of how this trauma has affected them is totally sufficient for now. The trauma is the premise, after all.

    You can't expect a good show to constantly have dialogue and things happening every second; like shaking rattling toys in front of babies for entertainment.
    When the talking and the action dies down for a moment, it gives the audience and the characters in the show some breathing room. It lets us take in everything we saw up to that point. It can let us sympathize and relate to characters when we see them in these moments; take for example if they are sitting down deep in thought. Or when Caine stares off at nothing and has a twitchy hand when the subject of "exits" was brought up. It conveys things more then words can. It makes the audience think, and theorize.

  • @OldandAbandonedHarcorte
    @OldandAbandonedHarcorte 11 місяців тому +62

    Most of the criticisms are fairly valid. Problem comes from the fact that trying to cram full charaterization for 8 characters into a pilot is pretty hard, I have no doubts your suggestion for the replacement scene with the gloinks would've been hell to animate, plus Kaufmo bursting through the ceiling essentially deals with both problems at the same time.
    Gangle and Zooble having their characterization Shafted defintely sucks but I'm hopeful theyll get more future episodes. I try not to be too harsh on the pilot simply because it has a big difficult task on it's own introducing the series and compelling people to give it a chance, and the likes of Pomni, Jax, Caine and Ragatha provide enough by themselves to keep people interested. Not to mention all the subtle mysteries like the doors with "X"'s on them in the hall scene.
    Yeah I think Jax could've been pulled back a little more for gangle/zooble but it's hard to say how it would've affected the pacing considering the story would move differently as Jax is basically what splits the party up in the first place past the first 1/2 of the episode.
    I by no means think TADC Pilot was perfect, but it was good and deserves the oppurtunity to become a fully fledged series, so I don't think the hype is unjustified as long as it's serving to give the show it's footing. That's a pilot is usually FOR it's to give the audience a rough draft of the world and characters and get picked up by networks (Usually, though not in this case since it's produced by glitch inhouse) I'm sure Zooble and Gangle will get a lot more screentime in future episodes considering they do have unique personalities even if we don't get to see much of them in the pilot.
    That title leans a little too harsh for me. As the series has so much potential sitting in wait, but the pilot cannot do that idea justice on it's own, it needs to introduce the viewer to the world and characters, and set up the main ideas it will be exploring, such as the abstracted characters, and the mysteries of the void, how to escape the digital world if you can, and if Caine is another, human, an AI or something else. No pilot that was any shorter than an hour or so could really deliver on the sky high expectations a lot of people are hyping it up to be. I still think it's great for what it is.

    • @SparkyCas
      @SparkyCas 11 місяців тому +4

      I'd imagine that might've been the problem when vanity worked on this video. Every pilot isn't always a perfectionist mirror and it's really not the only issues among that, the pacing itself is a bit strange but not life threatening for the series I think, it's something that needs to be taken into consideration atleast if it's gonna be picked up fully all in all.
      Surely they've gotten plenty of this type of criticism, so it hardly is surprising that it might be repetitive of what already might've been said.

      I totally agree, I see people focusing a lot on ``is it good/is it average/is it bad, but they failed to explain this and that''...my brother in Christ, a pilot is made to show an idea in development, in certain moments, they will be very expository to create curiosity about what is being presented, and other things will be left open so that it can be appropriately developed in the future.

      @@SparkyCas I feel like the pacing issue is, once again, due to it being a pilot episode. For the same reasons mentioned earlier.
      Since future episodes are (probably) not going to have to juggle so much stuff at once in a relatively short span of time, they're likely to have better pacing.
      Still, yeah, in retrospect the pacing was kinda weird at some points and i agree this is something they'll have to keep in mind for the future of the series.

It shows just how normal the suffering is to the ones who've been trapped longer than Pomni and shows that Pomni will likely get normalized to the horrors of other victims becoming abstracted and glitching painfully.

      A character made solely to drive the story instead of having some significance apart from that. I would’ve found it much better if he helped lead the crew in certain situations or provided more than over the top ringmaster behaviour. He could’ve been this strict perfectionist that forced scenarios onto the crew, and although he still might’ve shown some care for them or their well being, a nice arc over the story where he learns to let go is something I find that could’ve hooked me better.
      All in all, Caine is a character that could’ve been so much better than a bland, over used stereotype of “Powerful and chaotic god/deity”

    The pilot has been received better than I ever could’ve imagined, it’s a bit overhyped... well, extremely overhyped, but it’s got funny, dark, and surreal undertones. The characters on screen had properly balanced screen time, more so than Hazbin Hotel in some ways. However, all that aside, I do agree with you on your criticisms, it’s definitely not perfect, but we’ll see if it gets better or worse later on when they make new episodes.

    14:45 that's an interesting idea but it would be out of character. Recall that Jax wasnt there to engage with Cain's adventure, anything having to do with the glonks is low steaks "just something to do" and Jax didnt really want to mess with that, he just wanted to hide.
    Another way to go about it would be just shortening that scene entirely and having Kaufmo break in after a few gags, perhaps right after Pomni leaves out the "exit" door. Then they'd have to show each characters strengths trying to avoid being beaten into glitchy pain by Kaufmo.

    • @shupasopni
      @shupasopni 11 місяців тому +1

      This makes sense yeah. I agree the Gloink plot was not too enticing, but Jax bothering with the adventure and especially caring about Zooble is ooc.
      Maybe if someone else suggested the condition of getting Zooble back, but honestly I feel the best fix would be just having less of the Gloink b plot, cutting to Kaufmo showing up, and using the time from the b plot to focus on getting away from him while Pomni searches for the exit.

    • @Yipper64
      @Yipper64 11 місяців тому +1

      @@shupasopni I agree on less Gloink B-plot. It would have been interesting to see Kinger and Gringle and Jax all having to deal with Kaufmo instead of the glonk queen.
      That would sort of be my solution if we wanted to see more of how these characters handle situations.
      But then again I think the gloink B-plot was purely for comedy, and not everything has to be high steaks, so in a sense what I think they did do was fine. I mean my favorite moment of the pilot is when Kinger grabs zoobel and then his hands keep going and he's just like "oh."

    I’d just like them to relax on the expo dumps and the obnoxious “OH YOU KNOW IT’S A DARK SHOW AND HERE’S WHYYYYY-okay back to normal” dialogue. Not eradicate, not remove-but obviously relax on it. I’m sure the ADHD folk will eat it up less because of that, but the pilot still blew the hell up, and after their last shows it’ll be for the better regardless.
    They did their homework on “show, don’t tell” like at the end when the camera was focusing on Pomni and her realization of the situation she’s in, but it would’ve been far better if Kinger didn’t suddenly become Kojima just moments beforehand. Jax noting that weird input doesn’t really help either, he kind of just helps solidify how dumb that was-and not in the good self awareness way.
    Cyberpunk did this exceptionally well by just having people almost never explain a thing, just that they know in advance because they’ve been living in that environment for awhile. It helps sell Night City being kind of crazy much better. Have these characters feel like they’ve been living here for awhile rather than cramming it so obnoxiously to sell the fact that this place is obviously bat shit. It also would’ve sold the more ominous scenes where Pomni’s opening those doors to find an aquarium or a giant chamber.
    Everything else can stay the way it is with just a few tweaks for when the show finally releases (like not wasting characters). “LOLSORANDOM” humor is also just never gonna go away. We have been dealing with it since Borderlands and as long as it gets ONE laugh out of me, it’s always worth an overlook.

    • @Teooror

      The Cyberpunk comparison is a VERY GOOD EXAMPLE but it also……… falls on its face
      That worked because they needed people who looked like people to feel like people as much as act
      These people in Circus don’t look like people and generally don’t come close to acting like people, so making this effect for these people is kind of an odd process
      Lack of expo dumps would 100% make it easier though but everything afterward is up in the air

    Some fans of the show don't seem to like the idea of someone criticizing or critiquing TADC; I hope none of said fans take art classes, 'cuz critique is often part of learning in art.
    The show's just starting, yes, and it's impossible for something to _not_ be flawed . But again, the show's barely out; it's got room to grow and develop its plot. It's amazing to see something you love improve over time (like developing art skills), is it not? Also, this is indie entertainment. I think that's impressive enough that "average" people are able to make these productions without the level of connections and money that most of corporate entertainment can afford.
    Once more of the series comes out, _maybe_ people will be more open to criticism of it...or not, because fandoms in general are crazy like that.

I just know they're the fan faves and are gonna take all attention away from the female characters who are more interesting because they are factory-produced to fit that mold and I'm not keen for it. Honestly, I agree with the spotlight hogging Jax point, the Gloinks Queen point, and the few threats point.
    I noticed while making a fan comic that, Jax is the loudest second to Caine, and they take up all the screen time. I want to give everyone equal attention, so I had to literally throw Jax to the side and sidetrack Caine.
    And the solution to GQ is kind of too easy. They could have solved it before GQ got beaten, but the convenient thing happened instead. It could have been a chance for Zooble, Gangle, or both to shine, but the time was given to Jax’s dialogue instead.
    Lastly, although abstraction is horrible, it’s not really enough to be horrifying. Yes, go crazy and you’ll be gone, but is this world bad or boring enough to go crazy in? They haven’t showed us. And even so, it’s just sad, not horrific. If they show us how this place can torture or damage the characters, then it would feel more threatening.

    Eh, I’ll agree to disagree.
    The humor was a highlight for me (because Tumblr has corrupted my sense of humor since middle school).
    Personally I thought Gangle was supposed to be the punching bag character (Ebichu the Housecleaning Hamster, Fluffy and Uranus from Duckman or Dr. Zoidberg). They’d pretty much be a springboard for jokes, but there’d be possibility for character development down the road.
    I felt like Zooble and Jax’s relationship would be similar to Leela and Bender from Futurama. I got the vibe that Zooble wouldn’t hesitate to put Jax in his place (both verbally and physically) if he was a dick or annoyed them or others.
    With Caine, he felt like a more extreme version of Bill Cipher. That scene you criticized for being oddly paced at 18:32 showed how easy it’d be to annoy him. And how he just stood there in silence presumably seething while trying to calm down gave Caine a bit a depth; it showed that this all seeing God won’t just be a happy-go-lucky trope.
    Then again, I’m biased because, as a 3D animation graduate, I absolutely adored Gangle, Zooble, and Caine’s designs; so of course I’d be more lenient about how they were portrayed.

    I do 100% agree with both Gangle and Zooble not having much screen time, it almost makes it hard to even say they have potential especially when talking about Gangle because she literally had zero importance throughout the PILOT, she was kinda just……there? Also I liked your idea of how they could’ve challenged the Gloink Queen to a bowling match, but this could’ve possibly led to too much time being added, I think Kinger was the most perfect character of having enough screen time whilst not having too much, he was funny but not over the top, Zooble also could’ve had that, but with what we were given, her personality did seem really basic from what we got, I also really like Jax, but nobody likes a character who always interrupts other characters especially when it’s a PILOT, not saying that’s all that he did, but that’s still something he did do. Lastly, I also really agree with how Pomni sorta just, leaving the rest was sorta like, not unreasonable, but I personally also wanted to see her interact more with the others, but going back to Gangle again, literally everybody in the show spoke to atleast everyone ONCE (or at least said something to them specifically) where as Gangle wasn’t spoken to by everyone, because I also really like Gangle too. Another thing I also wanna point out, is kinda how the characters were just, standing still for a lot of the various parts of the PILOT, that’s also why I liked seeing when Pomni was on screen because she was always on the move in many scenes which meant we were able to see more of the Digital Circus and speculate on different things. Overall, I don’t have a genuine issue with this show, these are just some things I want to be considered by Glitch Productions, some parts were either too fast or too slow but I still think this show is amazing! But what isn’t going to physically help a show, especially a PILOT like this one is not actually acknowledging what can be IMPROVED, rather than bluntly agreeing this show is perfect in every single way physically possible all the time.

    Bubble’s existence and some cringe lines are the two main things I can think of that I don’t like about the pilot. 8/10. Better than Hazbin Hotel’s pilot. I LOVE KINGER

    My personal thoughts
    Animation, character designs, voice acting and environments are all fantastic. The existential horror presented is likewise very engaging. The abstractions and the "exit" door office complex are geniounly very unnerving.
    The only issue I have really, is with Pomni herself. It might just be me, but I didn´t like that she was too frightened from the get-go and tried escaping at every possible opportunity. The whole pilot is basically her panicking to the point of even leaving Ragatha for dead. A very selfish decision, but I am interested how this might develop if they try to play it as a genionuine character flaw that she needs to overcome.
    I would´ve preferred if she tried exploring this world with a degree of enthusiasm first. Much like Tulip from Infinity Train AND THEN panic once she realizes she can´t escape. Might just be me though.

      To be fair, I think they are going for a more "realistic" reaction to what someone would do if they found out they were mysteirously trapped inside a digital world with people they didn't know, and had no way to get out or ever return back to their old life. Espeically if you just randomly started seeing talking chess pieces, anthromorphic rabbits, and abstract creatures.

      @@wandereringshadow8658 Yes, I totally get that. However, she panics immediately upon being dropped into the Circus. Literally her first scene is running towards the "exit" before anyone has a chance to even explain to her what is going on. It came off as really weird/somewhat rushed to me.

      @@riskopalfi801it's simply more realistic. Her being all laid-back and fine w it would be weird and not relateable at all. She just lost her body, her real life, is in an unknown reality with beings or people that look like anything but human. Also, some random glitch monster turns up and along with all that stress it's more than normal for her to act that way.
      Anything else would be unrealistic and weird, it'd give her less of a character.

    "Overhyped success" is a good way of describing the pilot, it is really good and it definitely deserves the price it's getting but it should also be looked in critical light.
    I love Jax I really think he's funny (even despite what you point out) but it's true the pilot has a lot of him (which like you said with bubble funny characters are best in small dosis) and not enough of characters like Zooble and Gangle who only show a superficial one note aspect (they should've at least let happy Gangle interact with Pomni tripping and breaking her mask) and also that indeed the Gloink subplot could've been sth more than just the characters standing there waiting for the A plot. Also that the characters split up way too soon to actually show how they interact with one another (again, specially with Kinger, Zooble and Gangle, which seeing the concept of abstraction it looks like this show aims for character driven moments among the comedy which being honest we barely get that at the end with Pomni and Ragatha).
    You can definitely see all the possibilities they could take this characters and this world in future episodes but the pilot had so much to acomodate to that it left some of it feeling off, I'm still positive the show can make improvements for it's next outings and seeing Goose is very receptive of criticism I see that very likely

      Something can be fantastic at an 8/10 and overhyped to 10/10 level. Doesn't mean it isn't less amazing, it's just not the best thing to ever exist. And this is coming from someone fully bought into the hype.

    Actually, it would've been better if we saw Kinger and Gangle trying to catch the gloinks and then stumbling across "the Zooble hole", though I think it would've been also been better if Zooble was deconstructed a bit later because it would've been less pressing to find Zooble. This would've probably allowed the rest of the cast to shine. The Pomni-Ragatha scenes dragged for too long and I think it would've been better if Pomni's indecisiveness was more exaggerated - there was this issue of the monster just waiting to react to what Pomni does which could've been handled better.
    I would've loved seeing Jax outrun and outwit the monster while also keeping it hidden from the others who don't know of Kaufmo's demise while they hunt for the gloinks in the many spaces of the Tent.
    In the scene after Ragatha gets rickoschaye'd around the monster, as I've mentioned before, the monster could be playing a game of twister and whack-a-mole and pomni as she decides between running away or picking up ragatha. The zap convincing her to run from the monster which leads to it falling off the balcony and then in the adrenaline (as in the original) Pomni is exaggerated though in trying to decide to keep running or to come back to Ragatha.
    Knowing how hard it is to storyboard, its' likely they considered all of this but it was outside their budget to handle.

    I very much enjoy this video, not just for it's analysis of TADC but the microcosm of how much should one analyze media while watching it. one one hand, I want there to be good quality in media, and criticism helps to create this, but also approaching things from a analytical perspective can decrease your enjoyment of it by making flaws you wouldn't otherwise notice apparent.
    in this case, I absolutely enjoyed TADC but I also understand and somewhat agree with your criticism, and with your warning at the end. Hopefully TADC will keep this level of quality or improve, and not go the way of murder drones.

    I loved everything from the character designs, the voice acting, the animation and the existential horror it explores. My only concern is where would it go from here? Would it still keep on track with its' premise or will it astray into something different? I only hope we explore more on each characters besides Pomni on how each acted when they first appeared in the Digital Circus just like her. We'll have to wait until it becomes a full-fledged series (Which given from the views and the merchandise, I'm 99.9% certain it will).

      This comment made me finally watch ep 1 of Murder Drones like I planned to.
      I did kinda like it, but it felt more like a couple of video game cut scenes compared to TADC,
      it also felt longer than TADC despite it being faster paced.
      I'm kinda mixed about the story, it was nice even if a bit cliché,
      but the whole robots being in school, having angst and boomer parents (and hormones ?) didn't make any sense to me.

    Jax is a jackass for sure but the problem I had with your review that you expect too much from a first episode it's just non issue it's just very annoying that indie projects can only release 1 episode every for months or even multiple years after a pilot but shows on disney channel can have at least 10 episodes and judged 10 episodes it's unfair and people saying unrealized potential I have to let the show form it's identity instead of judging it by popularity it doesn't matter if it has 1 millon or 100 million views the quality is the same and the judgements should be the same.

    There was only one point i mainly disgreed with, which is the screentime thing. A big problem with Hazbin was the fact of trying to give screentime too every chatater which resulted in too much at once. But I agree that Zooble got alittle bit of time and should of been enhanced a bit more
    I have high hopes for the the rest of the series once it comes out! And ince again, good review

    10/10 for a pilot, honestly. Holding it to the standard of what might be more to come, obviously it won't be the best episode to exist. Every show is like that. Hell, I think the only show I love the pilot episode of most is Smiliing Friends and Breaking Bad, and they're both *really really special* cases for TV shows.

    I gotta disagree with both examples of time beimg "drawn out" as shortening that time would take away from the visual imformation we are being given. If ponmi had instead said "what is wrong with you" instead of the silent shock, it wouldve been less entertaining, shown less internal character, and removed atmosphere from scenes

    aside from the backgrounds blending too much with the characters like the sinners in the pride ring of hazbin/helluva, my only other gripe abt tadc is how it banks too much on the not so subtle references from hazbin/helluva it has, intentional or not.
    some of which include
    caine/alastor having the whole villain/not really showman shtick going on
    vagatha and ragatha literally have almost the same name and is trying to be the one keeping the peace amongst it all
    jax and angel being the lovable little shit voiced by michael kovach
    zooble also sharing somewhat of their role/personality with vaggie
    both this pilot and the helluva and hazbin pilots have too much going on, kind of showing how they have so much stories theyd like to tell but dont know which one shld go first so they just ham it all in there until all doesnt mesh well and segways awkwardly
    and on a sidenote, i love lizz as yanfei but having her do panic attacks as pomni's only personality will get old at some point, just the pilot alone pomni already became the most annoying character for me, and somehow kinger and gangle left a more positive impression on me despite their similar roles of "not handling the circus well".
    thats everything i could remember from my time watching the pilot, though as a fan of psychological horror or just mind games in general, im looking forward to tadc.
