So yeah I am very glad that kind of thing is said clearly somewhere, it's always such a headache even just passing by those stupid arguments even without getting involved.

But that 25 to me actually plays into one of my theories about the whole thing. Because in the whackywatch trailer Pomni, jaxs, jack black, and Ragitha were presented as if they were pre-existing characters within the game that buyers were somehow supposed to recognize.
Fun facts about the characters
Kinger is canonically 48. Either he's a middle aged man who just happens to be their the longest, or he's been trapped there for like 20 years. In that case I think he's rather sane.
Zooble goes by any pronouns because they literally can't remember their own gender. Also I gotta say they have the worst avatar if it's so easy to come apart.
Pomni can translate to "remember" in slavic languages like Russian, Bulgarian, and Ukrainian. How fitting.
Jax is actually younger than Pomni at 22, despite calling her "kid". Because he's rude

Also Kinger didn’t come in alone, as there was also Queener whose door we can see crossed off. Given he lost his other-half, yeah, Zooble had a point for thinking he’d be next.
@@hiddendesire3076 Possibly he and the Queen were entering to deal with bugs for the program (hence his odd focus on "insect collection") but something went wrong (intentionally or not) that lead to them being completely stuck in there.
Hell, if Kinger is actually the one who has been there the longest (out of everyone present and gone) it is possible that during the "bug testing"/bug cleanup they accidentally procked a bug that lead to this entire fiasco.

The reason Caine can’t fix the Abstracted people is people become Abstracted when their mind reaches their breaking point.
Caine has no control over the character’s minds thus cannot fix them but he can fix the Body of Pomni and Ragatha because he has control over those.
Even if he fixed the Abstracted person’s body they would just become deformed again because their mind is what’s broken.
That’s why Caine makes all these games and adventures to help maintain the character mental health because that’s all he can do, however, Caine is an AI and doesn’t actually understand the human mind and its complexities. So he is very weird and maybe does more harm than good despite good intentions
And he places around exit doors, he doesn't understand that the humans seriously wanna get out the game but he can't make one because he doesn't know what's on the other side.

IIRC, one of the wiki pages says that Caine is actually a human masquerading as an AI. Not sure what it actually is, but either is cool
That was my impression, based on the legal jargon he seemingly HAS to say, that he can't control their minds(no AI should ever be given that power!) And that it seemed like he really wanted to give them an Exit, but has no concept of it being able to do what they want, as he can only think within the scope of the virtual reality of the Digital Circus.
My theory is that he is THE Caine, son of Adam and Eve, and the world's first murderer.
Ironic because the voice actor spoke out against people using AI to replicate his voice for things he didn't sign off on.
which explains why he couldn't finish the exit - he doesn't fully understand what they want it for or where they actually want it to go, cos all he can understand is that they want an exit, but he doesn't get that they want to leave the digital realm entirely

Ashley Nichols AKA Zooble, has been Michael Kovach's girlfriend for 4 or so years. Nichols actually worked on some of the animation and clean up for the Hazbin Hotel pilot. The pair have several streams on her youtube channel. Some feature cast members of the HH pilot and Helluva Boss, some have Elsie Lovelock, Gooseworx or even Vivzie herself appear, a couple feature the cast of Lackadaisy or the English dub actors from the Beastars anime and there are even a couple that featured the late great Christopher Ayres AKA Lord Frieza.
She also has her own animation pilot coming up called Far-Fetched that has a great cast of voice actors!

people have most definitely commented on this, but jax having keys to everyone's room and saying "you've all been fine" is just meaning that he's been checking on everyone to make sure they are okay. Since there have obviously been those who lost it, so it's honestly sweet that since he has keys he checks on everyone. While still pranking them as well, he does care and worry for them
Notice how Caine changed the subject about the exit by asking for Pomni’s name, knowing she wouldn’t remember it and causing her distress to take her mind off the thought of an exit.
Out of the voice cast, Ashley Nichols was one of the artists working on Hazbin Hotel's pilot. Elsie Lovelock is the voice of Charlie from the same pilot.

Caine might be all-seeing but he isn't all-paying-attention
The reason Caine locked Kofmo away was because he said earlier he didn't have control over their minds so when they hit their breaking point and abstract its too late to save them.

Caine is confirmed by the creators to be an AI - not malicious, but also not well-versed on human conventions. If we’re to take him at his word, those exit doors don’t lead to an escape from the digital world… just the part he made a stable environment. And that’s after, I’m guessing, a replica of the office where human-Pomni entered the circus in the first place.
In short, her hope of escaping is dashed, and Caine is as much her protector as he is her captor.
I wouldn't say Caine is her captor, since he himself doesn't seem to know how one can leave. He made an exit door because people were requesting one, but he has no concept of what an exit door is, so he doesn't know what the put on the other side. The same way he calls the Zoinks humanoids when they clearly are not and assumes drowning in a lake is something humans do as a past-time. He has no concept of these things because he is an AI.
Pomni is voiced by Lizzie Freeman, aka Meggy's first voice actor.
Also I know what you're both thinking. Everyone is over 20 but Gooseworks has confirmed that nobody has any junk so there's no point.
Gangle's VA has also done a lot of work, but most notably (to me) is voicing Moze from Borderlands. A series I also recommend for Duck :)

If you watch the doors in the hall you can see a Bunch of previous members that are no longer here, they dont quite match the abstracted bodies in the pit… but they do get close. And the puke Pomni threw up seems quite similar to the goop the abstracted are standing in in the pit.
This kind of reminds me of those old click and point games that were aimed for preschoolers I had on my old pc growing up, as it feels like it with the intro song and the transition from the one style of animation to another one, which I feel was kind of the point that the creators wanted to do, as well as have the story seem to be based on the story "I have no mouth and I must Scream". If you don't know that book, just read the wikipedia page or not for maybe spoilers reasons. The way that Cane presents the map area to Ponmi, all that's left to say was click on the location to find out what activities you can do. This reminds me of games like Putt-Putt series or the old Arthur games I used to play.
The show was blowing up the internet when it was teased to releasing some interesting new content for artist for try out with fan arts or making Original Characters based on this show. I just hope it get green light for a series to happen 😄
Also fun fact about Zooble’s VA Ashley Nichols, she is a partner to Michael Kovach and this show is the first time she done some voicing over. Also she is one of the clean up artists for Hazbin Hotel Pilot, Lackadaisy Clean up artist and a producer for “FarFetch” so she have some experience in art and now doing voicing.

I'm with Kirby on getting certain game vibes from this, particularly late 90's/early 2000's pc games and some janky Playstation 1 era games. In fact, this brought back a memory of a nightmare I had as a child where I was in an educational pc game with math and talking frogs, so that added a bit to the creepy factor for me.

Running theory I have personally, Caine is an ai for the game, all of the people that are ending up in the game are workers for C&A, and of course Caine isnt made to deal with people for that long, so he doesnt really know what to do about them

I don't know how to write a comment that doesn't just devolve into me endlessly gushing about this pilot. My thoughts are the same as mostly everyone else; I love it & am excited about what the rest of series has instore.
Ashley Nichols, Zoobles VA, is a an artist, animator, and I guess voice actor now, Most well known for her work on Hazbin Hotel, Heluva boss, and her podcast called Honeycast. She is also Michael Kovach's girlfriend last I heard.
Some insight, when Kingler asks Zooble if she saw some gameshow inside the Gloink queen, it's a reference about one of Gooseworx earlier animations, Little Runmo: Halfway through the animation, a character swallows Runmo and he end up in a game show INSIDE it.

It’s actually quite the phenomenon that it got this much attention so quickly. They have a good thing going here definitely, the hard part now would be retaining the viewership it built up. I feel like that won’t be too much of a problem though as the whimsical yet existential nature of the setting looks like it’ll retain its following for a good while in my opinion if it leans into it.

It really is beautiful to keep seeing more and more and more unbelievable independent animation, from Glitch or otherwise. My mental health necessitated my own animated series be put on a hiatus as I figure myself out, and it hurts to not be able to join the front lines of this veritable revolution yet, but Digital Circus reminds me it’s all about the smiles it brings, you know? Anyone can bring those smiles, and I’ll cheer them all on.

Easy glitch is acting as a publisher for independent animators and shows basically footing some of the expenses and using connections to say find additional animators or voice actors ect ect to then bring out and then give them a platform to be shown and then they probably take a decent chunk of the profit ect

I have the theory that the perfomers represent different personality disorders. Anxiety(pomni), fear(kingler), selfishness(jax), anger(kaufmo), etc. What if the headset was a technology that was supposed to help cure ppl of their debilitating personality disorders. Strap it on and instantly feel relief from your crippling issue. BUT what if the tech takes those negative aspects of your mind away and dumps them into the circus? That's why they have no memory. Also, it would lend itself to making the existential horror even worse because even with a route back to the real world, they've nowhere to go. 😱🙂
Interesting things I've spotted.
* Before the introduction song Caine mentioned "paraphernalia" that "we" would be seeing. That implies objects/items/things and yet what we end up watching is the trapped performers...
* When Caines watch detected a player in the Void, he said "oh no, they'll be *spoiled*". That's a word used for perishable goods/food/products.....
* When Jax said "she still thinks it's a dream", he was not talking to Ragatha. He was breaking the forth wall and talking to us....
* The adventures aren't dangerous, but Kaufmo's abstracted form was as Zoobles fate barely bothered them but Kaufmo's was seen as a real danger. Re- Jax's reaction to the adventure compared to Kaufmo.
*Caine isnt all-seeing because he had no idea what was going on to his circus or players, even abstraction, until Pomni entered the void. Then he still didnt know himself, his wacky watch alarm had to alert him.
*Caine barely knows anything about the real world.... " *Drown* in the digital Lake,..... *ridery* at the digital fair" hint at that. If that's so how did he know what offices in the real world looks like? Maybe through the cameras in the place where the headset and computer are sitting? That also explains why the exit maze has "A" computer office room but is not "THE" computer office room. I dont think they are the same because Caine's had no windows or natural light but the one we come out of at the end has natural light streaming across the wall.
* Other than the final corridor connected to the void the Exit Maze was totally stable, until Pomni's extreme reaction to the computer and headset started causing the lights to flicker on and off.... why then? 🤔
Thoughts on "sad and weak" Gangle. With Gangle's masks. They both look fragile, and the comedy mask did break after a small drop.( in a little extra from Gooseworx, we see Gangle looking in a mirror with broken comedy masks all over the walls.) But when she was dragged into the Gloink hole her sad mask smashed into the ground, hard, but didn't even get a blemish on it.
That implies that her "smile" is so very thin yes.... but that her core, and yes sad, self is a lot tougher than she looks. 🤔..😥💪...🤔
