If Them Bones was written in the 1970s...
Gives off a very proggier vibe
Wow! Incredible! This could be the soundrack of a 70s car chase movie :D
Thank you so much!
Love your take on the choruses. The horns really give a lovely new vibe to the song.
Super glad that you like it! Lot of pressure on the horns to do the harmonies of Staley and Cantrell justice.
I like how they kept the odd time signature in the verses.
Thank you!
Thank you for watching our arrangement of Them Bones! We had a great time recording this one with trombonist, David Marriott. Please subscribe to our channel so you can be notified when new videos are released. Cheers! 🎶🎷🎸🎹🥁
I wouldn’t mind hearing more Alice In Chains. That was really well done, guys. The AiC Reddit group is getting a kick out it (that’s where I found this).
@@docd357 We also cover songs like Would and Rooster at live shows. We're going to do Rain When I Die and Man In The Box too. We didn't record them during this last recording session, but maybe at a future one? Thanks for the support!
jazz AiC is my favorite new thing now
Awesome! More Jazz AiC recordings are on the way!
I always thought Them Bones was jazzy cause the odd 7/4 tempo and dissonant chromatic progression. Finaly someone has done a proper jazz arrengement. Congrats, guys!
Same! There's some jazzy harmonies in the original recorded guitar that don't come through in the full mix. Look up "Them Bones' guitar only on youtube.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We LOVE playing AiC!
Incredible arrangement. I like how you quote bits of the melody throughout the keyboard solo too.
Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun to record.
Wow! Need more Jazz Overhaul!
Yah man, this takes me back to when I listened to more live Jazz.
More is on the way! Thank you for the support, Jeannette!
Wow. That’s rad
Thank you!
MORE AIC PLEEEAASSSEEE THIS WAS SO GOOD 😾😾😾
We play a lot of their tunes at live shows.
Jake channeling Keith Emerson there - I was half expecting him to wrestle that Hammond to the floor!!! Brilliant work on this number guys.. Jazz Overhaul really spreading their wings...
Thank you so much, Billy! Yeah, Jake looked ready to rumble!
Oh jeez. Instant stank face with that organ driving the intro riff. Hell yeah! Subscribed!
Sweet! Thank you so much. This track was so fun to record.
@@jazzoverhaul Looking forward to your future uploads my dudes!
Wooow! What a unique take on an old classic. Daring, but legit.
Glad that you liked it, Tinman!
This was a refreshing take on a Classic AIC tune. Congrats! It was great! 📯🤘
Thank you very much!
You guys are genius. Amazing rendition... 👏
Thank you SO much!
this is a pleasant surprise! well done :)
Glad you liked it!
Have you guys ever considered getting on some music festival line ups? Y’all have the perfect vibe for it and the skills to back it up!
We'd LOVE to! Which ones do you think would be a good fit? Right now we are focusing on performances in the Seattle area since we're local to this music scene.
@@jazzoverhaul not to familiar with the Seattle music festival scene, I’m a Florida local. If y’all ever come down to Florida check out the spirit of Suwannee music park in live oak, it’s a great venue and they hold festivals there all the time.
