I seen Dusty and Cody here in my town and it was probably 6 months before he passed. He looked good in his Cowboy hat and boots. I ask how the Midnight Rider was doing and he smiled that huge Dusty smile and said he’s good. Happy I got to see him that last time he was my hero growing up.
I love hearing Naitch talk about Big Dust
My childhood would’ve so dull without those two!
So many times they would hook up and not once was it a dud!
I saw a Dusty vs Flair World Title match in Orlando (Eddie Graham Sports Stadium) back in the mid 80's when I was a teenager. Great memories.
I saw them at the West Palm Beach Auditorium. They never failed to deliver.
And?
I saw Dusty wrestling in Tampa at the armory where the NWA taped their shows with Gordon Sollie* back in 1975. Man, he was a master at doing interviews. Great memories. ✌
i remember takilng mom and dad at the last minute to the great american bash when dusty had a indian strap match with wahoo mcdanial now mind you since it was last minute and we got there when the rasslin just started we got almost the last row of seats in the stadium and we were in atlanta georgia my home town well every time they hit each other with that strap it sounded like a shotgun going off and it didnt take long to start seeing those wepls start coming up on there backs -folks can say what they want but that was some true commitment to there sport to take a beating like that for 20 minutes and on a side note we turned around and mom got to meet ricky morton he was standing right behind us watching the match man that just made moms whole year right then and there .......
I loved Dusty Rhodes...he was one of my childhood heroes...but THE NATURE BOY was in a class all to himself...& what I loved about Ric Flair...even though he was a heel most of his career...& NO MATTER HOW HARD HE TRIED TO BE A HEEL...US DEDICATED OLD SCHOOL NWA WRESTLING FANS LOVED HIM SO MUCH & HE LOVED US BACK JUST AS MUCH!!!
Much love from Mobile Alabama.
I'm showing my age, but I remember his prior nickname: 'Dirty' Dusty Rhodes.
If I remember correctly, wasn't this about the time that he was teamed with Dick Murdock as the Texas Outlaws ?
@@mikeaubuchon8573 sounds correct
Never knew that one
@@watchfullwarrior8180 had to be in the old AWA days when 'the axe' was called, Larry 'pretty boy' Hennig.
I wanna find out more of this retirement match??
Any News? To my tech difficulties like Mr Flair?
I miss the Dream
Isn't that Charlotte in the background?? Or just a photo?
NO
its his girlfriend
I saw interview w dusty bashing flair
Please Ric don't even try to make a comeback....
WHY????
@@ironbassler747 And you dare ask why an old decrepit man needs to just sit his A$$ down? 🤣
Dusty was my favorite however,Rick flare brought the best in Rhodes💯👊🏾
And yet Dusty trashed Flair. I just don't get it.
Dusty admitted to being jealous of Flair in one of his documentaries years ago... So I'm not surprised
@@bigolebot I think everyone is jealous of Flair lol he wasn't perfect but wow he was fun to watch lol.
He also helped his daughter become arguably the biggest women’s star in the business
