I think Flair was already making preliminary plans to return "home" to WCW. He accomplished what he set out during his brief but eventful run in the early '90s WWF & decided to let Bret run with the title.

Would have been great to see him and Ted go at it The million Dollar Man was one of the legit talents way more deserving and way more talented than the guy pick to beat Flair. nothing against Bret Hart but I always felt he was no where near the excellent of execution like they was calling him flare and DiBiase would have been a way better wrestling match especially since they had history and knew how to work with each other would have had to turn the million dollar man baby face but since he has spent a good part of his career playing that part I'm sure it would have worked not sure why it wasn't in the cards for Ted to be world champion even though everybody acknowledges he's one of the few guys that should have cared this scarp as a traveling NWA world champ I'm not even sure why they didn't give him a short run as the WWE champion I understand the whole million Dollar Man gimmick but all the guys they put over after him lot of guys should have never ever came close to being the world champion but I guess it's was his company and he did what he wanted to do!!!
I wish Vince gave Ric a longer run with the title so he could have gotten a few classics out of Shawn and a few more out of Bret to get them over. I don’t think Vince appreciated what he really had there.

Vince followed up with ‘That’s the problem, you’re a wrestler’ like it was a bad thing. I think Vince only has respect for the performance side and not the wrestling side.
Always thought Flair was so darn humble in interviews despite his character's and sometimes irl personal flamboyance and charisma when it all is over and done this guy has done so so very much for the biz and that wonderful sparkle in his eye when he talks such a pleasure to listen to and always with a smile not a time when he isn't smiling when talking wrestling this guy lives wrestling
@@angelvalle9963 Oh for sure, people often complained a ric flair match was singular and you knew how it was gonna roll but nah ah ric sure had plenty of signature moves in a match but he gave everything and even more so in the old nwa days some of those big names where some of the best matches ever but he also did a hell of a lot right through the 90's my only regret was those final matches he should have hung up the boots a bit earlier. Seriously though can't take nothing away from the dirtiest player in the game he lived , sweated and bled wrestling right till the very end
Naitch went to Japan to work for SWS which came a little before WAR. The Natural Disasters came with him on the tour. He worked a 2 out of 3 Falls Match with Tenryu. Which was the Main Event at 1 of the Big Show at the end of that tour. That match is on UA-cam, but I have not seen it in years.
Flair vs Hogan at Wrestlemania 9 probably would have happened if for some reason they decided not to put the WWF title on Bret Hart. Or they would have just been delaying the inevitable and would have had Flair vs Hart at Wrestlemania 9. Either way, Flair was probably going to hold on to the title until Wrestlemania, but no further.
Taker was the best big man. When he had matches with Shawn and Bret they were always classics. When Bret or Shawn had a match with Diesel or Sid the matches weren't nearly as good.

Undertaker was the best of them all though, the most versatile. He didn't need to be 400 pounds to impress everyone with shows of athleticism or working a 25-minute match at a good pace.
Ted DiBiase not getting a run with the NWA or WWF belts I think is one of the biggest mistakes in wrestling history. There should have been a program where DiBiase screws Flair over, which would have turned Flair face. Flair loses the belt to DiBiase who the feuds with Brett Hart for few months which sees DiBiase bribe the officials to help him keep the belt. Finally at Wrestlemania or Royal Rumble DiBiase runs out of tricks, and either a returning Flair or debuting Owen helps Brett finally seal the deal.
@@Jwjmcc I agree with both of you Rick Rude and Curt a.k.a. Mr. perfect should have had a title run as well and the job WWF. I think Rick should have won it at summer slam against the Warrior. Curt should have had a run between 89 and 93. Jake Roberts should have been the IC champion. And McMahon should have stuck with the plan to have Jake go up against the warrior warrior was a horrible wrestler and couldn’t cut promos Jake would have helped him a lot…

I think he didn't when he was younger, but they're cool now they're old retired men and the competitiveness has died down. They both respect eachother, but when they were competing, of course egos are going to get in the way.

Just think when Mark was not the Undertaker and was almost out of wrestling, how critical it was for him to become the Undertaker for himself and wrestling. But how good of a wrestler he was and almost did not make it. Shows you how many good wrestlers there are out there that are only stopped by their gimmick. And then you look at Hogan who had a great gimmick but was a terrible wrestler.
I remember sitting next to Buddy Landel backstage at WCW, and I told Buddy, I hope we never lose him. I also told Buddy, I have never seen someone walk the ropes like Mark since the Spoiler.
Hulk Hogan could wrestle just look at his matches in Japan different style. Also Hulk Higan got Mark the job at WWF. Man WCW drop the bomb with letting him get away they had so much talent it’s sad The same with the AWA from what I hear…
Should’ve beat hogan on a technicality, then cheat in the rematch, Hogan wouldn’t be given another shot unless he faced the up and comer Bret Hart. Bret Hart goes over clean, and you build to Flair and Hart.
Bam Bam Bigelow and Yokozuna would like a word. Both of them were better than Andre in my opinion. They had incredible agility for people their size, they were actually doing stuff you wouldn't expect someone their size to be able to do. Undertaker was also clearly better than Andre and that's no disrespect to him.
Andre was a legend and a spectacle but in terms of athleticism and performance Taker is numero uno. Kane, Vader, Bam Bam, Big Show all deserve mentions as well.

Flair should have dropped the strap to Bret at Royal Rumble 93 in a two out of 3 falls match if Warrior didn't drop him on his head.
