  • Memorial Day is a holiday during which we honor others for their contribution and and sacrifice. One of the most profound ways to honor those we love and respect is by taking care of our own health. Just as soldiers prepare and maintain their fitness to serve, we too can adopt a lifestyle that supports our well-being and, in turn, benefits those around us.
    In this video I highlight how by embracing lifestyle as medicine, we can stay healthy, and thus be better able to contribute positively to our families, communities, and workplaces.
    What lifestyle behaviors have you embraced that have lead to better health, and a more enjoyable life?

    Hi Nan! Thank you for the inspiring message! So many great points!
    I love doing planks! I started about 10 years ago and l'm up to 3 minutes now. I don't think l'll ever be able to do what raw vegan Lou Corona does. He's in his early seventies and can do a plank for 7 minutes. His plank is not the standard plank. He puts his hands on a counter and then raises his legs until he is completely horizontal. He's holding himself up by his hands and upper body strength only. Unbelievable!
    I need to work on community. Everything got disrupted by the pandemic and things haven't really got back to normal in terms of activity groups, etc. There have also been allot of cuts to programs. It's frustrating at times.
    My father lived to 91 so that's my goal.

      Hi Louis! What a wonderful message. You certainly have a good genes and they should serve you well, primarily because you’re also focusing on Lifestyle as medicine. So Smart. OK now I need to work on getting up to three minutes with my plank. A few minutes at a time. I love it! Thank you for sharing🌻🥰🌻

You know how to share your personal feelings with the viewers and contribute to deepening the knowledge to choose quality of life and health through nutrition and this to improve the physical and mental condition.
