  • In this video, I will discuss why I need radiation and the difference between Proton radiation vs. Stereotactic radiosurgery vs. Conventional radiation.
    I am planning on starting a ketogenic therapeutic diet as an adjunct to radiation and will explain why.

    God bless you friend, so happy you're going to start on a Keto lifestyle. There is so much literature on its promise. I remember Dr. Bosworth & Dr. E. Westerman doing vids with patients who used it successfully to combat it. The Lord works through physicians (as I'm sure you are well aware) so I'll be praying for divine intervention & wisdom from any & all who are working with you. Thank you for teaching us as you go through this process.

    Thank you for your insightful, educational and scientific discussion of your plans. I was recently treated for advanced rectal cancer, including 6 weeks of high dose radiation. After watching your video it seems obvious that radiation therapy patients should be told of dietary changes that could be helpful during their treatment. Also in general there’s lots of discussion around reducing carb intake to thwart tumor cell replication. Perhaps there isn’t much in the way of formal clinical trials to make recommendations to cancer patients. But certainly dietary considerations and supplements should be a part of treatment discussions with cancer patients. I have more scans next month so I will take some melatonin before. Having access to proton therapy can be challenging. I’m glad you are able to use it as a treatment option. I wish you the best with your ongoing treatments. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences- you certainly have many other things you could be doing.

    • @NhiTranLee
      @NhiTranLee  2 місяці тому +2

      This is so true!! Diet and fasting can be used as an adjunct to chemo and radiation and at the least will minimize side effects. I wish doctors would not tell the patients that these things don’t matter because they do and there’s nothing to lose by trying it. But being a doctor myself I understand the risk of recommending things that are not standard of care. I hope this will change in the near future.

    Praying for you, But as a cancer patient I would never get radiation near my brain. Do no harm. I would get a third, or 4th opinion.
    Also as Dr. Loraine Day said, Take your foot off the bus. That means get rid of all stress, and anything you might be doing that’s not healthy.
    She lived over 30 years by giving her stress to GOD, prayer and Bible studies. I follow her and Dr. Thomas SEYFRIED. I am.20 years cancer free.
    I know we all make our own choices.

    • @NhiTranLee
      @NhiTranLee  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes, that was my thought too initially and I am still doing everything I can including getting rid of stress (the hardest part) and using the metabolic approach (I follow Dr. Seyfried also). However, due to where the tumor is, it is too risky if it grows back and I had to weigh out the risks vs. benefits. I spent a lot of time in prayer about this and have peace with my decision. I'm so glad that you have been 20 years cancer free. That is amazing!

      In one of the interviews Mr. Seyfried mentioned it can take up to a year to see results. My gentleman oncologist has put me on 'wait and see' so I have personally used the time to try out Mr. Seyfried's recommendations. After about 6 months I have started to see results. I have had no treatments within the 6 month period so I personally attribute it to likely Mr. Seyfried's advice. One tumor is completely gone, others shrunk, and bone lesions have remained stable while one grew and another decreased so far. Overall a decrease in cancer thank God. I have used fenbendazole, berberine, green tea extract, and L-Mythylfolate. I am planning on being a patient at the Hippocrates Research Foundation and am talking with Mr. Orrego next week. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. Your ketogenic diet with radiation is so interesting. Did your radiologist suggest it?
    My daughter has had 3 surgeries to remove tumors on her brain stem. Ependymoma. The first surgery required radiation after. 2nd no further treatment. 3rd was a higher grade and she did oral chemo (clinical trial) for a period of time. Radiation was in 2014 and there was no mention of any special diet or supplements.

      Hi, no it was not. Most conventional doctors will never talk about diet or lifestyle changes because it’s not standard of care and not “evidence based” so this is more in the alternative treatments realm which is so important for people to be aware of. Like I said it was based on my own research and not given as medical advice. I hope your daughter is doing well 💛
