From what I remember when I was messing with this previously Save in Memory is temporary so if you close a game or server etc it will clear that saved structure. Save to Disk will basically make it a file on your HDD I believe in the structures folder.
Hi Silentwisperer, probabaly you noticed that your trident killer for the guardian isnt working in the newest version, because the tridents are destroying the minecarts. But i fixed it, you have to set the hoppers 1 block lower, place enchanting tables at the ones that had minecarts on them and then place minecarts on the enchating tables.
Save to memory is like saving it to RAM so when you exit the world the save won't be there anymore. Save to disk saves it to the world files so when you exit the world and reopen it it'll still be there. The export button in save mode also gives you a .mcstructure file that you can use in a behavior pack to import your structures into other worlds
@@hgz08 see this sample pack from MS - follow their instructions and then add your exported structure to the structures folder, and you will be able to import it
@@yoannesleonardi6799 well technically you can build a system with an armor stand and clone command, but yes block by block would be hard to replicate. Although these features don’t have particularly many uses, even if they are cool
One extremely useful feature that structure blocks have that wasn't said here is that if you want to save a structure that is too large for a single structure block, you can actually put a structure block inside of the save area and all the data will be saved without the use of pick block. So if you are on a mobile device, this will work. There's another thing that doing so will do, and that's that all structure blocked saved in the first/alpha structure block will be flipped if you flip it on an axis or even have the offset passed onto the other structure blocks. Meaning, you could make a 200 by 200 build and only complete half of it, use structure blocks and perfectly mirror the other half of the build without having to mess with every single structure block.
Stop-motion timelapses in Bedrock edition have a huge buff with the block by block feature, paired up with the fact that Bedrock Edition handles block generation super well.
Hey So I have a sort of Tutorial Request/Challenge. What would be your ideal AFK Spot? Like combining Iron farms with villager Trading and an AfK Fishfarm? Or a movfarm combined with a nether gold farm (that the pigman go from the nether to the overworld for slaying)? Is it and Idea to make a video on how to most efficiently combine several auto farms.
It really has everything to do with simulation distance. In general, the default is 4 chunks. So everything within 4 chunks of you is running and everything outside of that stops working. Mobs on the other hand can spawn between 24 to 44 blocks away. So any mob farm that has spawning spots outside of that distance are not being used. I actually like the 4 chunk simulation distance because it is easy for me to control. The downside is that it shuts down all farms that are outside of that range. they make add on that can show you these ranges. They really take the math out of the equation (so to speak).
Mate, your a life saver, I’ve been memorising the cords every time I’m jotting them into chat and the whole time there a tab method, thank you for including that, it just made my building so much easier!
It is super helpful! Keep in mind that using that method there is 2 ways it works. 1) typing in "/fill" then pressing Tab 2 times will give you the co-ordinates to the block you are looking at. The block has to be in range same as any block you break or interact with. 2) Typing in "/fill" but then just pressing tab 1 time will give you the Matilda symbol (~) doing this will implement the cords of where you're in-game character is standing/flying. Keep in mind with both these method's (I assume you know how cords work) but with the 1st method you need be doing it like this "/Fill *tab-tab* *tab-tab* *tab-tab* [block of choice]" It is the same method with the 2nd method except you are only pressing tab 1 time the space for each cord so - "/Fill *tab* *tab* *tab* [block of choice]" So the most effective way of filling an area is simply going for example the bottom left corner and looking at the starting point for where you want to fill and doing "/Fill *tab-tab* *tab-tab* *tab-tab* [block of choice]" then pressing "CTRL+A then CTRL+C" to copy that first set of the command now press "ENTER" (it will always say command failed for that first part) then you want to go to the Back Top Right Corner and bring up the text menu and hit "CTRL+V" to paste the first part of the command and now you can go ahead and finish of the command by pressing "TAB" three times making sure to add a space after each "~" appears then entering you [BLOCK] of choice now you can hit "ENTER" and should all fill. Keep in mind you can only fill a MAX of 32,768 blocks at a time (This number can change from PC to PC, or I think it may be different on consoles) These blocks also include the air. So, it's doesn't matter if you filling and empty area with 32,768 if the amount your filling is over that then it will not fill. Your best bet is to then break up your fill into smaller parts. I hope this all made sense (English is not my first language) I also know your comment was made over 4 months ago and you have most likely learned all of this, but I thought I would still add it in just in case someone else reads it and learns something new

I was unable to get the structure itself to load into another world, just its data. Maybe this is a bug or a half-finished feature? Second, the blue structure void blocks are called structure air (even though they have the “structure void” name in-game). They seem to act just like normal air except that they cannot be replaced with blocks unless broken. They can be saved and copied with structure blocks, unlike structure voids. I am not sure what they are supposed to be used for and they do not seem fully implemented. If anyone else has more information about these strange half-implemented features, please reply so that we can figure out what these are supposed to be used for.

Is there anyway to make it so the structure blocks dont delete blocks. I have a redstone build and it needs to go into a part of it but it just deletes the parts it’s trying to go into
Hey silent any news on the caves and cliffs? Don’t wanna start a world till then. Also could u do a video on sim distance etc? Or tic speed. Always wondered what they were for. Is that why furnaces won’t smelt whilst your away from the area or mob farms won’t spawn unless your close by
Things like spawn rates depend on chunk generation, if a furnace isn’t cooking while you’re away, it’s because the chunk is not loaded, normally, at least in Survival, the spawn chunk and the surrounding chunks are always loaded even when you’re away. That’s why you sometimes have to afk or wait for the mobs to really spawn
How did you get multiple buildings I tryed and it just keep putting the first building I saved even if I name the second build some thing else it keeps building the first one I saved

Thank you so much! This was very helpful!
always happy to help :D
Im kinda late ik but is there a way to control structure blocks with command blocks/redstone? It would be awesome to string a bunch of builds that act as "frames" and you could animate it by loading/unloading structures in sequence yk?
Is there anyway to make it so the structure blocks dont delete blocks. I have a redstone build and it needs to go into a part of it but it just deletes the parts it’s trying to go into
I only had a small understanding of this block and you helped me out a lot
Okay, so I am having an issue with the structure block. Every time when I attempt to save a build, it saves, but then I can’t load it in.
Thank you so much broo I just started a village house transformation series on my channel and I'm having trouble with the locations of the houses, now I can move them around thanks to you❤❤
Me and a friend ran into a duplication glitch it keep spawning minecart hoppers over and over again. Any idea on how to fix this gltich?
Is it possible to transfer structures between worlds on PC? I used the addon someone made for the structure blocks and was able to transfer one structure between worlds but only that one transfers and no others
Wat did u do to the chickens 9:30
Omg silent you read my mind (or maybe my comment a while back)
Thank yee :D
