I think Maruti made a big disservice to the vehicle by not naming it Gypsy! That name in India carried a lot of respect and legacy! Being a owner of a Jimny i have met people who never knew that this is the Gypsy in its latest generation! and when they come to know they are like 'ohh this is the GYPSY!!!' 😊

The vehicle is amazing but i agree Suzuki messed up with pricing during launch. In HP jimny sells like a cake especially it gives higher fuel efficiency & 4x4 tag is useful for cab operators in peak winter. Thar RWD 5 door will be a hit among pseudo family off roader. Thar just diluted itself.

@@ap5218 not really, thar roxx will be longer than 4 metres and big capacity engine. Highly unlikely it can undercut jimny. It will definitely impact sales of cretas seltos etc. I got jimny mt alpha for 11.5 on the road and was more than happy with it as I live in Shimla. But yes, jimny will be discontinued most probably soon as maruti doesn't sell underperforming cars for long.
Ji frankly, speaking it's a Great 4*4 machine ,that proved itself in a situation created by our off road group during off roading on sand . Absolutely Awesome watching the way it came out from the tricky situation.Iam waiting for ₹3.5 lac. Discount,expected in oct 2024 end. Unfortunately we Indians don't appreciate such Machines 😢😢 .

It will sell if on road is under 10 lacs. Else a wagon r makes more sense. After all only 0.5% use the 4x4. So I guess after Thar Roxx either Jimmy will be discontinued or priced under 10 on road. No other way of surviving here.

I am just curious no hate, I have minimal highway running. Isn't 80-100kmph enough in india ,more than that it's not save anyways on open highways.

For 11.5 on the road for Alpha mt price is completely justified. Jimny is not a mass market product and people fail to understand that. It's a secondary car for enthusiasts and can actually as family car for small families and if you live in mountains or challenging terrain. The general public living in cities and traffic and average size families would never accept it and they should not. It's not for them.

They wouldn't have it in stock as jimny is not sold much, but on order it is easily available in 3-4 days. Also, due to part sharing most of the parts are available. Finally, jimny spares are easily 20-30% cheaper than thar and in longer run and due to rough road usage it would make a big difference.

The Wagon R is a bit more spacious than this Jimny, and I don’t think the 13L price is justified. Not everyone needs a 4x4 vehicle every day. For city and highway commuting, it’s not necessary. Many reviewers hype up the 4x4 capability, but have they ever been to places like Manali, Leh, Ladakh, or other Himalayan regions? People here use even smaller cars like the Alto, which handles just fine without 4x4, and that car is only 800cc. So why spend extra just for the sake of appearances? If it were around 8L, it would be a good deal, but at this price, it’s not worth it.
I have a wagnr using since 2017, but i booked a jimny in July offer, waiting for its delivery. and your comparison between Wagnr vs Jimny is the most funniest thing i have seen today on internet 🤩 being rich or poor is not completely in our hands , but having a rich mindset is the sexiest thing that anyone can have.

In july 2024, discounts were available upto 3.3 lakh something. The same model which i bought for 14.10 lakhs in December 2023 was available for 12 lakhs (on road) in July 2024. Hence a cry 😭 emoji
