It is good city car and usable in some off-road also, just a maruti car , easy to maintain ...
I see this being offered on discount 3.3Lakh across India and it will always be offered at this price or maybe even more discounted till they discontinue it (which they will for sure), because it was priced wrong initially. This car should be sold around 10lakh on road, Even 12 lakh on road for its top zeta model is an overprice. At first glance it seems attractive due to climate control, LED, OVRM, 4x4, ladder frame etc, but then I realized the underlying problems of why its a flop and why no one across the world buys it except japan and few 1 or 2 others. That's why suzuki is running with it across the world to find a new market where people buy it. The hype that you read is for older models, not for this gen4 or jimny. Its not a Gypsy, neither it is 1990
This car resale value is 7lakh even if almost like brand new. If they discontinue it, resale value will be 2 lakh. Mileage in city is 10 max, rear seats are uncomfortable, steering is hard, slow, electric; should have been hydraulic, soft and precise. Spare parts are costly, radiator costs more than 24000. Because of poor sales some parts are not available as vendors need bulk orders which Maruti cannot give, so some parts come from Japan and may take ages and fortune. Every spare part needs 20 days min to come to service center. So if you have an accident or repair, it will be in service center for atleast 1 month
Engine is so weak that above 60 speed it feels like driving an alto. Cabin insulation from noise is zero. Metal sheets of body panels is paper thin. Music system and speaker quality is very bad.
They launched it in India because its a flop everywhere except Japan, I am referring to this current Gen4 model. Its been discontinued even in Europe. Don't fall for the 4x4 trap, the things that you see in videos, most of it any 4x2 car can do, even an alto
