  • A local favorite and easy to find: our favorite Thai street food restaurant in Chinatown Bangkok, or maybe even in the whole of Thailand: Krua Phon Lamai. Don’t miss out!
We’re eating the famous Lard na (or Rad na) with sea food and Pad Kway Teow. These spectacular dishes are the specialties of the house.

Get set to explore the flavors of Thailand as we bring you right into the heart of Bangkok's Chinatown. This video is your front-row pass to the delicious world of Krua Phon Lamai (also written as Kruaporn Lamai). This place holds the middle between a streetfood stall and a restaurant.
Forget about Pad Thai, green curry or tom yum today, we’re tasting the iconic Lard na and the mouthwatering Pad Kway Teow. You won't have to break the bank for this authentic Thai culinary experience, it's cheap :) we're all about budget-friendly options. And these are not spicy, so don’t worry ;)
We ate here with our 2 year old little sunshine Mia. But families, be aware, it’s dining directly on a street. Though it’s a side street to Yaowarat road, it still has a fair amount of traffic. It’s doable with a toddler, but you have to keep paying attention. There’s a sidewalk on the other side, where Mia could easily play. But to call this place child-friendly is stretching it a bit.
Eating here is not just about the food - it's about immersing yourself in the local culture and discovering hidden gems. Just like visiting the Grand Palace, Wat Arun or Wat Pho, make sure to put visiting Chinatown on your bucketlist. For us, the mix of these attractions make Thailand the perfect holiday destination. From vibrant streetfood stalls to bustling night markets, this journey is a treat for all the senses.
Hungry for more? Our recommendations and tips will guide you through an itinerary that ensures you don't miss out on the best Thai dishes and culinary adventures. Get ready to satisfy your taste buds and create unforgettable memories.
So, if you're up for a Thai food extravaganza that's all about authenticity and local culture, Krua Phon Lamai is your go-to spot. Experience the best of Thailand, one bite at a time, and let your taste buds savor the adventure!
