  • Easy ways to have good manners. Here are 13 tips for good manners and main rules of etiquette for every situation. The rules of etiquette are quite simple and widely known. It’s never a bad thing to remind ourselves of some of them, especially those we tend to break.
Unfortunately, many people consider respect for the rules of etiquette as something shameful, considering it a feature of classy aesthetes who are removed from real life. In fact, the basic rules of etiquette are pretty simple. It’s a culture of speech, common courtesy, neat appearance, and control over your emotions.

In my opinion, fixing one’s hair should ONLY be done in the bathroom. I once saw a girl in line at McDonald’s brushing her long blonde hair while waiting for her order. I was eating just 3 feet away . She actually cleaned her hairbrush and threw her hair on the floor. I was totally grossed out ! Who does that ??? So, respectfully... the answer to question #5 is absolutely incorrect.

I don't think that's what they meant. Obviously, it's pretty awkward to just start brushing your hair in public places. I think they meant any fix up touches instead of brushing the hair but either way.. what the girl did was pretty messed up especially since people were eating nearby

What to wear at home ? PJ or Comfort ? Is debatable , if I feel comforts in PJ I will wear it , it is my home and not a show off party where I were what is comfortable what if I am more comfortable in PJ at home ?
Ya everyone do not wear a hat , but if I wear one I will like to keep it on the hat rack once back home most of the time
Not sure how i keep my foot / feet while seating on floor impacts Etiquette ? really ? and that way is also debatable , I disagree totally , who came up with the idea?
Absolutely wrong , how to keep cutlery , never parallel once food is finished , it needs to be face down and cross there is reason behind it , it is call the hand gesture , like i agree many Western never ate with hands so they do not know this ... when we finish our food and we do mot want more we put our hands cross one over other to say NO please and if we need more we put our hands parallel to each other little apart from each other indicating we need more food please ... so this one Bright Side is 100% wrong .... sorry but you are wrong ...
I do not have kids so the last one is hard but if a parent enters the kid room there is no knocking , nothing to hide from parents , and this is one Reason we Asian are very good at , wester Kids that is the reason has Mother day father day grandfather day and so one for us Asians every day is Mother day we do not need a special day to thank our MOM , every day we thank them thought I also do not have parents or relative I am an orphan but no one teaches us to have special days to honor ... that is Western stupidity and sorry but it is .... so most of your ideas are not accepted ... few are good though so you do get a thumps down ....

You know what, everyone should have and must have their own secrets, even kid. And everyone must respect other's privacy. And are you sure that you thank your mom everyday? Are you sure that Asians don't have Mother's day, Father's day? I don't understand why kids must be grateful to their parents for their birth. The kid's birth is his/her parent's decision, isn't it? The kid have never asked for having a birth, but who wanted to have them? Their parent chose to have them, so I think kids don't need to, I said don't need to, be grateful to their parents for give them a birth. And thank your parents for take care of you, let you go to school,...? That's what your parents must do because of their decision of having you guys. If they don't want to take care of a child, then don't give him/her a birth!

Reason #9 (talking loudly) resonated with me. I have lived and traveled quite extensively abroad. Unfortunately, Americans have the reputation for being LOUDMOUTHS in the general public! I personally have witnessed Americans talking loudly on public transportation, in restaurants and in other establishments, where it calls attention and others overhear the conversation. It's especially embarrassing when it happens abroad. Tip: Please show some class and lower your conversational voice, especially if you are visiting another country.

Us Filipinos don't see anything wrong with drying umbrellas. It's practical and is quite useful for your umbrellas to avoid rusting of the metal/steel.

Manners... 4 days ago, I hosted my mom's birthday dinner party. I am STILL baffled that a few people drank the cider before the toast! Like, it's still bothering me. lol
Some of these guests wore tshirts, hoodies, flipflops, and messy buns.... It's a party. ANY effort is better than none right?? My parents have all kinds of friends lol.

A lot has to do with expectations, agreement and perspective. For example with either splitting the bill or the inviter paying, you should be prepare to pay if you invite another and offer to do so on those grounds but if you are invited, you should offed to split the bill and of course the groundwork for whether or not the bill should be split with future meetings be established which is also an opportunity to establish another such meeting.
