Thank you for this video. I’ve had a pet peeve about people not shutting the toilet seat for years, telling them the bacteria from the toilet goes into the air after they flush it, just like the toilet sneezed. Maybe now they’ll believe me. If you can’t afford a new toothbrush, soak it in white vinegar in a glass all day. That should do the trick.
The part about not showering with bare feet is crazy. The bottom of our feet has the thickest skin and the fewest pores. There is very little chance that anything can get through unless you have a cut. But then one of the reasons why people get sick so easily is because everything is too sterile causing our immune systems to be or become weak. We need certain bacteria and contaminants, including the bad ones to keep out immune systems built up and strong. If your someone who goes barefoot all of the time, the little germs in the bathroom don't stand a chance. I go barefoot all the time even outside.
The us of bamboo charcoal packs helps prevent mold and kills mold spores. Have had no mold in shower since started using. White Vinegar also good as shower spray. Norwex microfiber towels with silver can let you clean chemical free in shower.

Public bathrooms are just fine to use as long as you wash your hands after. Oh, and don't use your bare hands to shut off the faucet. Let the water run and use a paper towel to shut it off and open the door. Better yet, carry hand sanitizer. You don't know what other people who have touched that handle may have left on it. You may end up with a cold that you have no idea where it came from.
@@SRWill64 You're more likely to catch a cold from touching someone who has it than a faucet. And where I work, the customer bathrooms have automatic faucets so you don't touch anything. When I clean the bathrooms at my Publix Supermarket job, I clean them with the customer in mind and take my time and clean everything as I would if I was cleaning my own bathroom at home. So when you come in, everything looks freshly cleaned and ready to be used. I clean so well, customers mistake the cleanliness as still being germy and will still not touch the flush handle thinking that it wasn't cleaned. The way I clean, you won't even need to worry about using a toilet cover. 🙂
@@MrMJmusicLover I don't use seat covers and was taught in nurse's aide training class how to properly wash my hands. Not all places have touch-free faucets. Even after using the bathroom at home I wash my hands and then use sanitizer because people in my home don't close the lid before flushing even though I've been lecturing them on it for years now. Because of that fact, I refuse to leave my toothbrush in the bathroom because we don't have a medicine cabinet. We have a stand but what good is that if they flush with the seat up? Funny this is they can't understand why I haven't been sick with even so much as a cold in the past 2 years when they have. I just follow a simple rule of handwashing, flushing the toilet with the seat down and not leaving my toothbrush in the bathroom. Neither the soap or the water takes bacteria off the hands. This is a fact from my dermatologist, and my aesthetician, pores do not open or close. Beauticians only say that to get you to buy their products that are more expensive. Pores are very tiny when they’re clean and they don’t have sebum in them, but when they’re filled with sebum, and that sebum gets corroded, that’s when they appear larger and are considered as “opened”

When somebody ask me how do I keep everything so clean or how do I do it ? I clean my bath tub right after a shower or bath. When everything is warm and wet. I did not think to clean the entire bathroom when it is warm, tho. Gotta take one bath at night to it this way.
A thought hit me up beside the head the other day. I used a public bathroom, flushed, washed my hands good, picked up my cane and left. As I used my elbow to open the door{notice how good I'm doing?}, I looked at my cane and could almost see the germs crawling all over it. Now when I wash my hands, I also wash the cane handle. Thank you for this useful video! But I think I’m going to see those germs everywhere I go now 😷 It was fun to feel the skin crawl when I heard all the gross details about bathrooms 😂
This channel has come a looong way , last time i saw this channel , it had only 6 million subs
I'm guilty of all of those... Except for the washing hands thing.
Hot water will help break down other stuff stuck to your hand.... Try washing butter off your hands with cold water... ;)
Love this one👏🏾
I have a question for Bright side. OK we will prevent the sneezing of the toilet stuff by closing the lid and flushing. But, when you sit on the toilet again , you have to open the lid and definitely your back touches the lid at some point ! Now what??? Isn’t that contamination?
Amazing
Continue with more details? Thanks for sharing
I Started WATCHING this Morning over 'Phone Hackin' ( new phone DUE to THAT).
I Can Not, Will Not - put you DOWN. I see others Can't EITHER.
SO,My Vry Best to You.DONT STOP.kat,ct.
So proud of myself! I was already OCD before watching this. The loofa thing was new to me though.
I have learned to close my toilet seat when flushing and it really DOES keep your restroom much cleaner. I love your presentations, they're entertaining and informative.
Thank god i watched thus video, now I have more reasons to yell at my family😅😅😅
5:17 yes I flush right... I been knew to put the seat down which makes me disgusted by public bathrooms... same with towels I always use a different towel which results in having to do laundry more (also awww I thought my house was special for having the flush button on the top... double flush power for solid waste... )
I love these informational posts! Thank you Bright Side!! You Brighten my days!🥰
I have OCD about higiene and even thought I am doing a lot better now , i still am a little too clean for an average person higiene habits . all this things I already knew them ( except the loofah thing I dont agree with . just buy one every 2 weeks . they r super cheap , less then 1 dlls . ) but I never went to any class or anything like it . When somebody ask me how do I keep everything so clean or how do I do it ? I always tell them : Good , efficient , higiene is just common sense ... just think , really of what u doing , how ur doing it and if it all makes sense the way ur doing it . idk if I'm making myself clear enough but I try hahahahaha ... any cuestions? 😅 . thank u for such a good video btw ❤
I have ocd too
My mum and dad leave the towels in the boiler room, the room is only vor the boiler and storage. Its not one of those walk in ones but it keeps them warm and dry
- I'm a germaphobe. The worst thing is people who move into a new spot and do not buy a new toilet seat.
But do you use public toilets or let anyone but yourself use yours?
I told my dad this, just this morning. I would also totally replace the bathtub rather than resurface it. Or you can buy a new house.
I actually like to rinse with cold water, soap, then rinse again since i dont like how “dry” it feels when you dont wet your hands first.
Bright side is having me rethinking my whole existence
Good information! Thank u brightside...
I've doing quite a few of these tips, I don't like the steam idea, but is ok of trying.
All episodes are worth a million thanks.

Schools don’t have a full lid for a toilet, which causes for the school restrooms to get students sick
Yep and i am sick since last Saturday and even today
I knew most of these and am glad to see them on this channel :) saved to my "helpful tips and tricks" playlist so others can learn ^_^
So basically live in a bubbly .. okay gotchu 😂
Oh gezzz I'm doing everything wrong. Wait MY TOOTHBRUSH
I clean my bath tub right after a shower or bath. When everything is warm and wet. I did not think to clean the entire bathroom when it is warm, tho. Gotta take one bath at night to it this way.
I wanna know, who dislikes these useful videos.. 😑😣
I love this video it’s so interesting thanks brightside
Edits_dolan xox I’m so glad you liked it!
And now can sleep better. Probably everyone else already knew this but I'm new to this cane thing.
Have you ever reflected upon whether your fear of germs is irrational ?
