Just in time! Ordered the 1500x1500 with xPro v5 and a 2,2kW water cooled spindle just few hours ago! Have you checked the 4th lathe style axis at Bulkman website? xPro suppors it out of the box and I am thinking of ordering it too to be able to do 4 axis milling.

im not sure but i think on the xpro v5 the 4th axis is used as a slave for the 2nd stepper on the x or y axis the front to back direction ( i can never remember which one is which lol)

@@MrP51cho What do you mean? Sorry, I'm a rookie still. It says that:
4 software defined, independent motor drivers can:
Clone any axis (default to XYYZ)
      True 4 axis motion XYZA

@@elmonni2103 no worries im still at the planning stage myself but going by the spark concepts site although there are 4 stepper drivers in the xpro v5 because the queenbee uses 2 separate steppers for the forward to back motion you need to drive them individually which then ties up the 4th driver github.com/Spark-Concepts/xPro-V5/wiki/Basic-hookup shows the hookup of a simple system worth having a read in any case if you must have the 4th axis a different system is probably a better option but for simplicity the xpro and the blackbox are the 2 to look at imho (xpro is 32bit blackbox is only 16 bit i think it may even be 8 bit) but both have a similar limitation of using the spare stepper driver to power the 2nd motor on the forward to back axis

@@elmonni2103 no worries im just getting ready to pull the trigger on a system myself. im going with the queenbee pro from bulkman and the xpro v5 system again for simplicity i had considered the mach 3 route but prefer open source stuff so grbl is the direction im going although if you 'must have the 4th axis then mach 3 is possibly the better option

Now that the Queenbee PRO use linear rail, why not just make the lower support 1500mm, so that it could support the Y Axis from sagging and lifting?
