I remember listening to this with my friend in quarantine last year and just sitting there in an absolute trance. The connection between the musicians and their instruments is unlike anything I've ever seen before, it's really like a window into each of their consciences. Not just that but the communication between the two of them - the percussion giving the rhythm and energy so the ney can dance around, it's stunning. My friend and I talk about "circle guy and stick guy" from time to time lol
A.W.E.S.O.M.E .... Sagh olsunuz ... I so love sufism music & mostly Rumi's, Hafiz & Shams' quotes ... So enthralling, soothing that this music lets you fly beyond any stress, worries, harshness of this life ...
Thanks for remind something that I don't know where is, but I fell that lives inside me... Sufi music is where I can recognize that place. It's crasy because I'm from Brazil. But this music and perhaps my soul is universal.

This music..it arouses something so pure in your mind n soul. It feels like ancient music from an ancient land. How we humans just divide and divide and divide. Music just unites. Thank you for putting it out here for us all to experience. Love from India.
We humans are a pretty sad lot on the whole. Yet music can cure us, if we let it... I love what these two are doing, I'm blessed to be a passionate musician myself.
I KNEW A NATIVE AMERICAN. INDIAN WHO PLAYED A SIMILAR FLUTE WITH A SIMILAR SOUL. IS THIS MOURNFUL CRY UNIVERSAL? IT HEALS. WILL IT HELP HEAL THIS PLANET??
Yes, it will, Linda, if we open ourselves to it. Because when we're open, energy flows naturally, inside us and between us. And we find that it's not only with music, that's what helps us open up but that's 'just' the beginning. There are no limits to what we can be, we are in essence divine, just like all other beings. So keep listening to music, real music, not the stuff that's part of the propaganda machine coming out of radio, tv, and various other outlets. This pollution is invading our space all the time and so we need to be very discerning. Only music from the heart is real, and therefore only our hearts can recognize it. It's one of the greatest blessings in our lives...
Kudsi Erguner is a master of the Turkish nay. I think he added some variations to the classical Turkish style, which was quite interesting to hear. Loved the percussionist too!

I can hear my Sheikh responding to this: 'To the poor in spirit to those hungry of soul those who have ears to hear this is most satisfying and satiating sustenance... for the musically rich gourmand on the other hand those well fed such a recital may morph into an auditory chameleon or "camelion" having to pass through any tympanic eye of the needle'...however most probably he would say nothing of the sort just smile that is why he is my Sheikh
Perfection in any sense, whether in spirituality or in music (or in context, as Pedro so poetically described), is what allows to create such masterpiece. On the other hand the quest for perfection is a perpetual state of insatisfaction. The question is how can we achieve both... I guess I'm in need of master Sufi...
It takes same doing. A lifetime effort. People who enrich our life. Thank you -Danke- Merci Too bad Franz Liszt is no longer with us to enjoy the music. Eredeti torok melodia.

... and there are those who have the truth within them, but they tell it not in words. In the bosom of such as these the spirit dwells in rhythmic silence.--- The Prophet by Khalil Gibran

I once owned Kudsi Erguner’s ney.
Güzeli ne anlatır ne tarif eder ..... Güzel güzeldir bilsende bilmesende ... güzel .
It is haunting and organic. Breathtakingly beautiful.
I advice you to listen to this wonderful music with headset, it's definitely far more intense than with a loudspeacker!

If you sing to the Sun of love and thanks, the Sun will answer you with stronger healing rays. It's truly miraculous, divine. The more you do, the more you will see, our life giving, LIVING light. Thank you again. With light and love always🎵🌞💖

When Turki is not Arabs and not Europe, they have their own type of music, and that's why we love it.
Ich liebe diese Musik.

Incredible video, so happy to have stumbled across this.

Mesmerized with the percussion and flute in Sufi presentation.
As a percussionist I feel double enthusiast with South Indian like rheathmic variation.

Simply wonderful - words are not sufficient to describe that beauty - this is beyond music
