I don't know if it is because i am Scottish but when i hear the first note from the bagpipes it instantly connects to my emotions, your music does exactly the same. Outstanding musicians. I discovered you a few years ago with "Dune" being my introduction to you, still love it and play it on repeat when i need to be strong in the battles life throws. Credit to the one that films you his work creates amazing videos to watch. This is my first ever comment on UA-cam yet i have listened and watched thousands over the years hehehe so i think i am allowed 2 paragraphs to express how brilliant these men are at what they do...........Thank You

When I listen to this, I cannot see the desert where they play. I see a lush garden, full of fragant flowers and tall trees where running water makes you sleepy. And I can almost feel the touch of the grass where I would be lying on, I hear the birds singing and I forget about everything bad... And then I become a poet.

my grandad is Romani gypsie and my auntie we love travelling. My auntie used to live on a boat and travel trough the spanish coasts. One of my great grandads on my mums side is from somewhere in egypt, israel or arabia not really sure. I have a big deep connection in my heart to the idea of being in the desert hungering and thirsting for God. I read the stories in the bible like Exodus and e Abraham in Genesis etc and love how they were in a land of emptyness and still God came down and revealed himself to them. In a dry and weary land where there is no water. tell me about your family and stories...

The whole CD 'Faran' is wonderful and sublime and the guest musicians add a variety of colours and styles, sometimes sounding (to a non-expert like me) Indian, Armenian, Afghan or Iranian, on traditional instruments, without veering into pop; consistently exciting and contemplative by turns. Some of the patterns in three tracks sound very Baroque, and Vivaldi would be awed. The unison playing is amazingly precise. The ensemble, interplay, dynamics, timbre and phrasing are magical. The cover design is excellent too (but not much information about the music - perhaps more online). Please visit Scotland.

The whole CD 'Faran' is wonderful and sublime and the guest musicians add a variety of colours and styles, sometimes sounding (to a non-expert like me) Indian, Armenian, Afghan or Iranian, on traditional instruments, without veering into pop; consistently exciting and contemplative by turns. Some of the patterns in three tracks sound very Baroque, and Vivaldi would be awed. The unison playing is amazingly precise. The ensemble, interplay, dynamics, timbre and phrasing are magical. The cover design is excellent too (but not much information about the music - perhaps more online). Please visit Scotland.
