A reminder, phantoms are a remnant left behind by someone to offer help. They are often a faded or distorted shadow of someone's actual strength. With that in mind, it leaves one to wonder how truly strong Tarkus must have been, if his phantom can best the boss on its own.
Why would he hollow from dying once though, if he and the other knights came to lordran as it called to them for being undead, shouldnt tarkus be able to handle the cycle of rebirth? The ingame reasoning for actual death of characters is sometimes strange, or do you think he and the other men who followed him weren't the same type of undead as we and many others are?
I think he may have just died too many times on the way there. That part of the story always confused me too. Because if we, the player, kill a character they don’t just come back. It could be that they had a different curse but I feel like that would be too headcanon-y. Really I think hollowing is also partially a choice. Maybe once he realized he couldn’t re-link the fire he had resigned himself to a final death.
In dark souls 1 dying worked diffrently. It might be that he just didnt had any humanity left for him to come back, it could also be he wasnt undead at all like siegmeiers daughter.
There's no single evidence that supports the idea Tarkus fought Teemon and Pumba, and it's actually absurd. If he had been wounded there, why he retreates qhere there are more enemies, and a place hard to acces without making the clockwork segment spin? If he was bleedig, that would have been a big effort. No. He fell. Not necessarily by his own clumsy step, but because the guardians are faster and the catwalks are narrow.
@@Soul_Tomato Mh. Ok, that's not how interpretation works. Interpretation is not any idea you get from the material, it's the conclusions you arrive to based on evidence. We conclude this corpse is Tarkus because it has his armor and is in the next are following from last time we met him. We conclude he fell because that's a common cause of death right there, and because. These conclusions are not axioms, they are an interpretation. Thinking the bosses wounded him and he ran away to die is not an interpretarion, it's an occurence. A witticism.
Awesome job. I like this theory because it has some evidence and isn't just a wild speculation being stated as fact. That's a bit of an issue in the Souls community, sorry to say

The man to prove fatrolling builds are viable. For if you have a good enough shield you dont need to roll.
Rolling? No, sorry, I’m a wall of doom.
@@Soul_Tomato Damn right.

@@Soul_Tomato yeah maybe! But it'd be a pretty weak curse if you could just say no lmao, it really is a strange part of the lore
@Corrupted truly. Because you have characters like Gael who can live forever by just consuming people, but Solaris eats one bug…

I like this new type of video
Thank you! Seems the algorithm disagrees but what can you do
Really well made vid! Well told and engaging the whole way through
Thank you! Never done something like it before so I’m glad you thought so

Hey, to each their own. His entire story is conjecture and theory crafting anyway aside from him fighting the iron golem.

Yeah just a little pet theory - innocent but fun to contemplate
Are you the reason for the enchanting-capable fruit in skyrim?
