Just went a couple weeks ago. It's absolutely incredible. Peak season hadn't started yet and they were only ope. 10 to 6. You need at least 12 hours to get the whole thing in, in a day. The cavern was great by the way!
Thanks for the very informative video! The camerawork and commentary really helps give an idea of what the park is like. Definitely on my list for places to visit in Branson.
We are heading there in the middle of July taking our 14 and 16 year old boys. They don't like roller coasters I do but I am too old now. We were told we have to check this out though if we are ever in town. Pretty sure they will have a good time.
There is still a lot to do, even if the kids don’t like coasters. The shows and craft booths are really neat to see. They have so many food options too. I’m sure they will have a good time. Safe travels!
When my folks first took me there, it was called Marvel Cave Park... Only things there was the post office, the general store and the little church... Was just there last week to see the Christmas lights... My how it's changed...
When did you first go there? I was there the first time in the late 70s and it had quite a few rides albeit nothing like today. My favorite was Fire in the Hole
Been there. I guess I'm too old because it's not my thing. Daughter has lived 20 miles from there for the last 23 years and we've been tp Silver Dollar City twice.
They actually have 3 bakeries. You missed my favorite Bakery. Sulivan's Mill. The water wheel provides electric for Sulivan's Mill and they actually grind their own flour there. That is the original location for the Cinnamon Bread till they moved it down by Mystic River Falls. But, they still have delicious baked goods and loaves of bread.
I totally missed that one. I will be sure to highlight that one in my future video. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it when viewers help me out with things I’ve missed. I’ll make sure to visit that one soon.
We was there a couple times about 30 years ago, nothing looks familiar on this video. Back then they only had one ride and it was a rail ride under ground. Oh well, nothing remains the same!
That is correct. I was planning on adding it, but it was not open the day I was there to get any footage. I plan to add it in the future when I do a follow up video. It's such a historic part of Silver Dollar City, I thought it deserved more than just a short mention.
We were there in the early 1980s and there were no rides. A lot of eateries, shops, the glass blowing shop, bought a beautiful glass vase. Went thru the cave, Marvel. We called it Steal Your Dollar City. It was expensive back then, no telling how much it cost now. Nice to visit, then, not sure could afford this place now. Just saying.
It has definitely changed a lot since then. It has a lot of craft vendors, rides, and good eateries. The thicket prices can vary throughout the year, but they range from around $85 per person. It would definitely be worth the visit just to see how much it has changed.
When we were there, there were a lot of craft vendors, eateries...etc...but no rides. No wait, I think there was a steam full size train ride. Still,,,steal your dollar city.
My family was there in the mid 80's. I think the train was there, but no other rides. Crafts and old buildings. pleasant visit. Certainly was not expensive then, or we wouldn't have been there. Still have the little carved fox my Mom got that day. And we went to the Shepherd of the Hills production as well.
It was in my original plan, but it was closed the day I was there. Instead of just a brief mention I decided to wait and do another video where I could highlight the cave and it’s history to the park a little better.
What a very nice video. Thank you for sharing. Silver Dollar City is a great park and you did a fine job showing that. Thank you.
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

The park is definitely worth seeing. Thanks so much for the comment, we really appreciate it. Safe Travels!
We have never been here before but it looks like so much fun!!
It’s a great park, very different from your typical theme park. You should definitely give it a try sometime.
It definitely lives up to the hype.

Used to go here all the time when I was a young child, had a vacation cabin 20-30 mins away in Rockaway-Beach.
Love this review!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

my favorite show was to watch was Nik Wallenda
They really need to update the flooded mine though
I agree. Hopefully they will in the near future.
You didn't mention marvel cave that's the best part of Silver Dollar City that's what started the amusement park in the beginning

It seems to be a lot like Dollywood without Dolly. They even got the same bread. The shows look better though
It's close. Dollywood use to be called Silver Dollar City and both are still owned by the same family, so there are still a lot of similarities.
