Both seem great, if I’m only going to use it for my GoPro hero 8 that is real small and mostly gripping or wrapped up on stuff. What would you recommend. Because he doesn’t weigh much. Maybe the joby action? You think that a work?

@@AndrewK thanks . I’m painting graffiti so I won’t be getting a bigger camera just in case I need to make a fast getaway so I think the action is just what I need for my kind of action 😂. Thanks again brah
I use the older version of the gorillapod to mount my zoom mic to my tripod when I film and it works great! Tried using it for vlogging but never felt comfortable with it, so I got a pistol grip instead and that works much better for me. Still love using it for filming accessories since you can pretty much put it anywhere! Great video!
Hey Tiffany Von Gravely Thank you! That's fair I find it comfortable in the hand, but I get that it isn't that way for everyone! What model of joby do you have? Also have you used it in wrapping mode? :D

Hey Christina, You can use this for phones, but you would need a Phone Adapter holder. Here is a link to Joby's: joby.pxf.io/YgyjXj You can also fine Phone tripod holders on amazon for very cheap. JOBY also makes whole lines for phones specifically. However, if you want to switch to a camera down the line this will be helpful.
@@AndrewK yeah, most likely - as a smaller travel tripod (for camera), to use with my phone as well, for microphones...seems really useful and versatile :) i like how u highlighted WHY some people don't like it & how i was able to understand that they use it very differently than i intend to. Hey Andrew, Have you ever had this issue with your 3K or 3K Pro of the ball arm beads connection coming apart while trying to wrap it around an object like I've had happen to me on my SLR Zoom Gorillapod? Great video Like that tip about using two arms to hold it and the third as a backing handle.
Hi, did you ever compar the 3K with the 5K ? (i know its the 3kg and 5kg diffrence) Im about to purshase any of them but i wonder wich one I need for best stability. My Camera is Canon 5Dmk3 and versitile lenses, Canon 100 macro, 17-40, 24-70, Sigma 50 1,4 art.
Hey Mikael! I haven’t reviewed them against one another, because joby themselves says the main difference is the weight they can hold. Since your camera is already 2 pounds and the max weight is 6.6 pounds I would probably say with lenses, accessories, etc. The 5K kit might make more sense for you. One difference is that the 5K ball head kit has a pan and tilt axis. I’d go with the 5K joby.pxf.io/DV1yzq [Affiliate Link] mostly because I always find it better to get more weight in case I want to add more to it. If you’re in the US and want the best deal B&H photo has the Gorillapod 5K for like 100 right now. Ultimately I think Joby has some really solid products, but it’s up to YOUR budget, but I would go with the 5K with the kit you mentioned.

Andrew Kan A Mixture of both. I like how I can wrap the legs around to capture any angle. The Switchpod looks like it would give me more background. I need flexibility 🙂
That's fair! Gimbals are great pieces of tech, but I don't think they're one to one with tripods, which is what the gorillapod is. They serve different functions! What gimbal are you looking into? :D
@@AndrewK any gimbal which fits with my budget ... so far none fits ... still saving my adsense reward ... something around US$ 200 ... with 3 axels stabilisation
What a puff piece. Have you noticed that the reason your tripod is slowly falling down under its own weight is because the socket joints have cracked and no longer grip the balls properly. JOBY FAILED.
Well I can't say I have. The metal ones haven't cracked, and I still us them to this day? I also haven't noticed cracks in the other one. o.O I think it's valuable for me and others to know your experience. I don't want anyone to have that experience. Thank you for letting me know. JOHNY is JUNK! I love it for 3 weeks and it breaks and the company NEVER honors the warranty! Watching the review I hope that pro aluminum is different and the legs won’t break. I have broken 6 of them or can I say they break themselves.
So I must ask...have you ever had the legs break like everyone else? Can you see how the plastic is crap? Is it possible that the problem is solved with the pro aluminum?
@@jamesfestini I have never had my legs snap or break :x I use it every day. I will say I trust the metal more and it would be in theory much harder to break. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience 😔 I just like the product.
keep it up
Yay!!! 💯
Hey Cocoa Rene TV Thank you! Do you have a gorillapod? :D
Andrew Kan Just got a M50 so, I’m in the market for one! Great video! I’m leaning towards the 3K.
The 3K is a great option! There is also the switchpod, but it depends do you plan to film mostly indoor, or outside? Or a mixture of both :)
Andrew Kan A Mixture of both. I like how I can wrap the legs around to capture any angle. The Switchpod looks like it would give me more background. I need flexibility 🙂
Then the Gorillapod would be the right choice 😀
Wow company's talk 2 u.
My dad barely talks to me
Same to be honest
the only thing worth and still saving money to buy is gimbal to my smartphone ...
I don't think this is a puff piece just my experience. 😰
